Chapter 20 Leaving Early
"Minghuan, let's dance too!" Nie Jinxi walked to Ji Minghuan, pulled his arm and whispered.
Ji Minghuan lowered his head and glanced at Nie Jinxi, then could only nod in agreement.
On the dance floor, Li Jinxing and Nie Yao didn't dance fast, but their dance was eye-catching enough.
Many people looked at her sideways, thinking that this wild girl Nie Yao would never be able to dance the waltz, but they didn't expect that she danced quite well.
"I underestimated you. I thought you wouldn't..." Li Jinxing held her hand and whispered a laugh in her ear.
"I learned this kind of social etiquette in school..." Nie Yao lowered her head to look at her feet, blinked and smiled playfully.
"Of course, thanks to the pair of shoes you gave me, they are so comfortable to wear!"
"This is based on the shoe you gave me last time. I took it and had it custom-made according to someone's size..." Li Jinxing said this, and suddenly grabbed her waist and pulled her into his arms.
"Since Cinderella gave me her glass slippers, how could I let her down?"
The heat from his breath lingered around her neck, and a hint of warmth crept up her earlobes.

Nie Yao turned her head to look at him and asked with a low laugh.
"Because I know you are not!" Li Jinxing said slowly and solemnly, looking into the depths of her eyes with burning eyes.
How could someone who chose to save lives without hesitation in such a harsh and windy environment be vicious?
Meeting his affirmative gaze, Nie Yao was stunned for a moment, even forgetting that she was still dancing...
In fact, giving him that shoe that day was purely a whim. She never thought that he would take it seriously and come to the rescue with a pair of new shoes specially made for her!
She knew that if he hadn't saved the day, perhaps today's banquet to welcome her back to the Nie family would have ended up being a joke...
But when she took off her shoes and fought with those daughters of noble families who were looking for trouble, she already knew that even if she put on such a pair of crystal shoes, she was destined to be different from these people at the party!
The music stopped, Nie Yao came back to her senses, and smiled faintly at Li Jinxing.
"Although it's not even twelve o'clock yet, I, the fake Cinderella, will soon return to my original form..."
She put down her hands on his shoulders and whispered, "Thank you for everything you did today. Consider it your reward for saving you last time!"
Nie Yao turned around and was about to leave. Li Jinxing didn't reach out to stop her, but whispered a reminder from behind her: "You are the host of the banquet today. Are you really planning to leave early?"
Nie Yao turned around and looked at him, shrugged and smiled nonchalantly, "The purpose of the banquet has been achieved. My grandfather and father have also confirmed my existence to everyone. Staying here is just a waste of time!"
Li Jinxing watched her leave in a carefree manner, a dark light flashed in his eyes, and he did not chase after her.
In order to avoid being blocked by her grandfather and father, Nie Yao did not leave through the main entrance of the banquet hall. Instead, she went directly to the locker room, changed into her previous casual clothes, and walked up the path leading to the back door of the hotel with her bag.
"Ayao--" Nie Yao had just stepped onto the cobblestone path when Ji Minghuan appeared from some fork in the road and blocked her way.
Looking at Ji Minghuan who suddenly stopped her, Nie Yao frowned slightly: "Why are you here?"
