Chapter 357: Never Forget Your Original Intention

Chapter 357: Never Forget Your Original Intention

They didn't know how long they hugged each other quietly. It was not until Li Jinxing saw the meteor shower in the sky becoming more and more brilliant that he slowly loosened his grip on her and reminded her with a smile: "Look, there's a big fireball coming. Make a wish!"

Nie Yao nodded, looked up at the meteor that streaked across the sky, illuminating the surroundings. She immediately clasped her hands in front of her, closed her eyes and made a wish.

After she made the wish silently, she turned her head to look at Li Jinxing and found that he was doing the same as her, closing his eyes and making a wish at the meteor shower. She couldn't help but laugh.

"What wish did you make?" Li Jinxing heard her laughter, slowly opened his eyes, put down his hand and put his arm around her shoulders, and asked with a smile.

Nie Yao blinked, tilted her head and said playfully, "I won't tell you. If you tell me your wish, it won't come true!"

"Really?" Li Jinxing shook his head and said firmly, "I believe that as long as you make a wish sincerely, it will come true. It doesn't matter whether you say it or not..."

When he said this, the corners of his lips rose slightly again, and he chuckled softly: "Aren't you curious about what wish I made?"

Seeing his mysterious smile, Nie Yao felt itchy inside. She tilted her head closer to his mouth and asked curiously, "What's your wish?"

"I hope that the promises we made today can be fulfilled even when we are eighty years old..."

Li Jinxing lowered his head, leaned close to her ear and whispered.

Nie Yao's heart warmed. Just as she was about to respond, she heard him continue, "I made another wish. I hope that our physical strength will always be as good as before, and that we will have many children and grandchildren..."

Upon hearing this, Nie Yao raised her head and pushed his chest, saying with a mixture of anger and amusement, "Are you too greedy? There are meteor showers every year, yet you make such a distant wish, and a large family? I didn't even say I wanted to marry you..."

Li Jinxing held her wrist, raised his eyebrows and smiled: "You have already made a promise to me, Yaoyao. With me, you have no regrets when you make a move. You are not allowed to change your mind midway, otherwise..."

He paused here.

Nie Yao stared at him with wide eyes, raised her chin and asked amusedly, "Otherwise what?"

Li Jinxing shook his head and smiled faintly. He reached out and pressed her lips, sighing softly, "Don't mention it. Keeping my promise is my bottom line! I don't want to have to use other means to trap you in the future. Don't let me escape!"

His gaze was deep and profound. Nie Yao looked into his eyes and knew that he was not joking at this moment.

But she didn't feel scared. She just couldn't help curling her lips and muttered softly, "Why do I feel like you're threatening me?"

A low laugh escaped Li Jinxing's throat. He gently stroked her lips with his fingertips and whispered, "This is not a threat. If possible, I hope we can always watch the meteor shower together like today, without changing our original intention..."

Nie Yao had originally just wanted to tease him, but when she heard him say that his original intention remained unchanged, a surge of warmth suddenly surged in her heart. She took his large hand and placed it on her chest, nodding her head and saying seriously, "Well, I won't forget my original intention, and neither can you!"

Li Jinxing nodded and smiled, subconsciously holding her hand tightly and interlocking their fingers.

Another gust of cold wind blew, and Nie Yao couldn't help but sneeze. Li Jinxing quickly pulled her into the pavilion, took out a thermos cup and let her drink two sips of hot water. Then he whispered, "Okay, we've seen the meteor shower, it's time for us to go back down the mountain and rest!"
