Chapter 507 Hasn't Come Back Yet
"You can't help, but this trouble will be solved!"
Nie Yao spoke with full confidence. Without waiting for Steve to ask more, she continued, "Talk to my adoptive father and see if we can recruit some more talented individuals to help build this new archaeological team. Once we get to Egypt, we'll start work soon!"
"Don't worry, Professor Fred and I have been advising your archaeological team. We will definitely give you a satisfactory list when the time comes!"
Steve sent a chest-patting emoji and replied with a smile.
Nie Yao also smiled and nodded. With the help of her adoptive father and junior schoolmate, she felt relieved. Now she just had to wait for Li Jinxing's elder brother Li Yaofeng to figure it out!
The sky gradually darkened. Nie Yao stayed in the bedroom, looking up information about the female pharaoh and the priest on the computer. When she felt a little tired, she looked out the window and found that the sun was about to set, and Li Jinxing seemed not to have returned yet!
She twisted her neck, stood up and stretched her tired limbs, then decided to turn off the computer and go downstairs. The housekeeper Owen had already returned from the back mountain. When he saw Nie Yao coming down, he smiled and said, "Miss Nie, are you hungry? I've asked the kitchen to prepare dinner. Once the eldest and second young masters come down, we can eat!"
"I'm not hungry yet..." Nie Yao waved her hand and asked with concern, "Is Li Jinxing not back yet?"
"Second Young Master hasn't come back yet?" Owen was stunned and asked in surprise, "I thought he had come back a long time ago and went upstairs to rest!"
"He hasn't come back. I stayed in the bedroom all afternoon and didn't see him..." Nie Yao shook her head and said in a deep voice, "I remember his eldest brother asked him to go check out the nearby farms. Why hasn't he come back yet?"
"I don't know. The farms nearby aren't far away. Logically, the Second Young Master should have returned long ago!"
Butler Owen frowned slightly and replied in a low voice, "I've been busy repairing the court in the back mountain with the workers. I didn't realize the Second Young Master hadn't returned..."
Nie Yao raised her head, glanced at the clock on the wall, picked up her cell phone and dialed Li Jinxing's number. However, she called twice, but both times no one answered!
"Miss Nie, the second young master didn't answer the phone?" Seeing this, the butler Owen's heart was lifted and he asked worriedly.
"Well, he didn't answer..." Nie Yao nodded. She was not familiar with the surrounding environment, but it was getting dark and he hadn't come back yet. All kinds of uneasy thoughts began to emerge in her mind!
"Jinxing hasn't come back yet?" Li Yaofeng's voice came from behind.
Nie Yao turned around and saw Li Yaofeng sliding towards her in a wheelchair. She nodded and said, "He's been out all day. It's almost dark now, and he hasn't come back yet. I can't get through to him on the phone!"
"How about this, I'll go out and look for him..." As soon as Li Yaofeng finished speaking, the butler Owen quickly dissuaded him, "Young Master, you're not very mobile, so you'd better not go out. It's too dark now, so I'll go out and look for the Second Young Master!"
"Owen, do you know where he might be?" Li Yaofeng asked in a deep voice.
"After all, the Second Young Master and I grew up together, so I should be able to guess it..." Owen replied with a faint smile.
Nie Yao was a little worried, so she suggested, "How about this, Owen, I'll go look for it with you. Maybe the two of us can be more efficient!"
