Chapter 825: Gunshots

Chapter 825: Gunshots

Luxor Temple.

It was already noon, the sun was shining brightly, the press conference had ended, and the reporters, unable to withstand the scorching sun, began to leave with their cameras.

The responsible persons, Moss and Nie Yao, remained at the scene to accept photo requests from the remaining media.

Only after the photo shoot was over and most of the media reporters had left the temple did Nie Yao breathe a sigh of relief and pick up a tissue to wipe the sweat from her face.

The staff nearby also brought her ice water to quench her thirst.

"Thank you..." Nie Yao took two sips of the ice water, then walked under the parasol and whispered to the person in charge, Moss, "Mr. Moss, most of the reporters have left now, and it seems like there's still no movement outside... Are those people planning on not showing up?"

"It's hard to say. Maybe they're waiting for the reporters to leave before they attack!" The person in charge, Moss, shook his head, narrowed his eyes, and replied with a sneer, "Maybe they want to wait until we let our guard down and the guards withdraw before they attack!"

"Then do we still have to stay in this temple?" Nie Yao looked around and asked worriedly, "And there's this artifact. They might come for it. Do we need to send it away first?"

"Of course!" The person in charge, Moss, nodded slightly and replied with a faint smile, "I've already dispatched several police cars to escort this artifact back to the museum!"

"That's good!" Nie Yao breathed a sigh of relief.

"Mr. Moss, the sun is too strong here. Let's go to the Colonnade to take shelter first..." a staff member suggested.

"Okay!" The person in charge, Moss, nodded in agreement, waved and called Nie Yao, and went to the colonnade to rest and escape the summer heat.

Not long after, they had just sat down to rest for a moment when they heard a noisy movement outside. Nie Yao stood up almost immediately and asked nervously, "What happened outside?"

The staff member nearby was about to stand up to inquire when a guard hurried over and reported in a low voice, "Mr. Moss, Ms. Nie, the carriages outside have suddenly lost control and started to go crazy..."

"Crazy?" Moss, the person in charge, was stunned and frowned and asked, "What's going on?"

"Those carriages are running amok, almost crashing into the temple!" the guard said anxiously. The person in charge, Moss, thought for a moment, waved his hand, and ordered in a deep voice: "Pass the order, if the coachman can't control them, shoot the horses!"

"Yes!" The guard took the order and quickly turned around and left.

Nie Yao felt a little uneasy and couldn't help but stand up and said, "I'll go out and take a look..."

Just as the person in charge, Moss, was about to stop them, the two men heard gunshots coming from outside. The guards surrounding them immediately surrounded them tighter and raised their guns.

The gunshots rang out one after another, the sound was getting closer and closer, and Nie Yao's nerves were getting more and more tense.

After an unknown amount of time, the gunfire stopped, and two more guards hurried over and reported in a low voice, "Sir Moss, the mad horse has been killed, and the car that was just transporting the artifacts to the museum was also ambushed!"

"What?" The person in charge, Moss, stood up with his eyes wide open and asked in a deep voice, "Have you caught the criminals?"

"Don't worry, the artifacts have been safely delivered to the museum, and the ambushing gunmen have all been killed by us!"
