Chapter 993 Asking for It

Chapter 993 Asking for It

"It's not separate beds, just separate quilts..." Nie Yao shrugged. Seeing that he looked unhappy, she explained jokingly, "I'm afraid I'll fall into your arms again. We'll each use our own quilts these few days so that your rash can heal faster!"

She spoke with such conviction that Li Jinxing had no other choice but to nod his head helplessly. As long as they didn't sleep in separate beds, he could accept it...

Nie Yao made the bed, turned off the lights and lay down. She originally wanted to wait for Li Jinxing to fall asleep, but she felt sleepy and soon closed her eyes and fell asleep.

Li Jinxing, who was standing beside her, heard her even breathing and knew that she had fallen asleep. The corners of his lips curled up slightly and he sighed softly in his heart.

This time, he finally understood what it meant to ask for trouble!

And all of this, just as his Yaoyao said, was his own fault... It was his fault for not telling her to avoid certain foods and accompanying her to eat too much lobster, which caused her to accidentally have an allergic reaction. In the end, he was the one who suffered!

We were lying together, but I couldn't hold her in my arms and fall asleep!

Li Jinxing smiled bitterly and subconsciously moved closer to her, listening to her breathing and smelling the faint scent of shampoo coming from her hair, then slowly closed his eyes.

But Li Jinxing didn't sleep very well. The ointment lost its effect in the middle of the night and the rash on his body began to itch again.

He was afraid of waking her up, so he carefully turned over the quilt and got out of bed, found the ointment and applied it to himself, and even went to the bathroom, but there were some places on his back that he couldn't apply it to.

Nie Yao also vaguely heard some movement, and subconsciously reached out to explore. Seeing that there was no one on the other side, she slowly opened her eyes and saw light coming from the frosted glass door of the bathroom.

Hearing the noise inside, Nie Yao quickly got up from the bed and opened the door. Sure enough, she saw Li Jinxing diligently applying ointment in front of the mirror.

"Yaoyao, did I wake you up by making too much noise?" Li Jinxing asked apologetically when he saw her coming over.

"Of course not..." Nie Yao took the ointment from him, asked him to go back to the room, and began to help him apply it carefully. Her brows were slightly furrowed, and she whispered, "You should have woken me up. Were you itchy and couldn't sleep in the middle of the night?"

"Well, the ointment probably didn't work. I woke up because of the itchiness. You were sleeping so soundly, I couldn't bear to wake you up!" Li Jinxing nodded and answered in a low voice.

"Doctor Zhao told me that this ointment has a time-limit, and it will last for about five hours..." Nie Yao sighed and muttered softly, "I guess I need to set an alarm next time, or I'll forget!"

She herself is healthy and doesn't feel anything, but Li Jinxing can't sleep in the middle of the night because of the itch, which will only make him feel worse!

Nie Yao helped Li Jinxing carefully apply the ointment, and since it was still dark, she let Li Jinxing continue to have a good sleep.

When he woke up, it was already bright outside. Li Jinxing opened his eyes and saw that Nie Yao was no longer in the bedroom. He rubbed his eyes and looked at the time. It was already ten o'clock in the morning.

He quickly threw off the quilt and got out of bed. Nie Yao then walked in. Seeing that he was awake, she smiled and asked, "Are you awake?"

"Yaoyao, you should wake me up. I slept for so long..." Li Jinxing sighed softly.

"Doctor Zhao also said that you need to rest!" Nie Yao shrugged and smiled comfortingly, "Breakfast is ready. After you wash up, go downstairs and have breakfast. It's not too late to go to the company after you finish eating!"
