Chapter 110 Thanks to Master Jiu
"No need, I'll drive there myself!" Nie Yao smiled and politely declined Li Jinxing's suggestion. After ending the call, she immediately drove out of the parking lot, turned on the map navigation, and drove towards the address Li Jinxing mentioned.
When Nie Yao followed the person who came to greet her to Dixon's house, Li Jinxing was sitting on the sofa in the living room, chatting with Dixon.
"Miss Nie is here--" the maid in the Dickson family said respectfully.
"Hello, Miss Nie..." Dixon stood up politely upon seeing Nie Yao and said with a polite smile, "Welcome to my home. What would you like to drink, tea or coffee?"
"Just give her a glass of warm water!" Li Jinxing said.
Dixon was stunned for a moment and didn't react. Nie Yao secretly laughed in her heart. She smiled politely at Dixon and said, "Hello, Mr. Ding, I have a bad stomach, so warm water is fine!"
Dixon suddenly realized what was going on and nodded with a smile, then told the maid to pour Nie Yao a glass of warm water.
Nie Yao sat down next to Li Jinxing and couldn't help but ask in a low voice, "You suddenly came to his house to see if he had been robbed?"
Li Jinxing just smiled and said nothing. The maid brought a glass of warm water to Nie Yao. Dixon then slowly said, "Master Jiu, I didn't expect you to come here specially to express your condolences. I'm very touched..."
Li Jinxing smiled noncommittally and said in a calm tone, "Mr. Ding, you're too polite. You bought my Spear of Anubis and donated a large sum of money to charity. I heard that your house was robbed, so I should come and show my concern..."
"Master Jiu, please don't say that. You are willing to donate such a valuable collection to charity. That's what a truly compassionate person does!"
Dixon didn't dare to take credit for it, and quickly gave Li Jinxing a thumbs-up, praising him profusely. He then smiled and said, "Thank you so much for your concern, Master Jiu. Fortunately, the collection I photographed wasn't stolen. It's all thanks to Master Jiu!"
Hearing Dixon's words, Li Jinxing merely raised an eyebrow in mock surprise, his tone remaining unchanged: "Really? The thieves broke into your house, but didn't steal this collection?"
Nie Yao had just watched the interview, so she was not surprised by what Dixon said. She picked up the warm water and drank it silently.
"Yeah!" Dixon nodded, a relieved smile on his face, but there was a hint of confusion in his tone: "It's strange that the thieves didn't come earlier or later, but just after I bought Jiu Ye's collection. I thought they came for the Spear of Anubis, but in the end they didn't steal it..."
When Nie Yao heard him say this, she put down her water cup and asked with concern, "Mr. Ding, did the thief steal anything else? What do the police say?"
"The thieves turned my house upside down. I asked my wife to check, and nothing important or valuable was stolen!"
At this point, Dixon shrugged and replied with a smile, "The police came this morning, took a statement, and seized the surveillance footage. They said that even though nothing significant was lost, they still wanted to get to the bottom of this!"
"That's good..." Nie Yao nodded and subconsciously looked at Li Jinxing, but saw that he had no reaction, as if everything was within his expectations.
"Have you checked the surveillance footage yourself?" Li Jinxing suddenly asked.
