Dream

Dream

Yu Zou had a bunch of keys in his hand, but he couldn't remember which one was the key to the front door. He stood in front of the door and tried them one by one until he finally opened the door with the last one.

The piano notes leaked out, but they didn't form a melody. Yu Zou walked in and saw Du Pianjian and Chi Hengxun embracing on the piano bench, their moans mingling with the piano music.

The sight was unbearable. Yu Zou turned to leave, but angrily thought, "Why am I the one leaving? This is the house I paid for!" He then noticed a basket of golf clubs by the door, pulled them out, turned back, and angrily went to confront the two men.

Upon entering the living room, he saw a waterfall of red roses as tall as the ceiling being pulled down, the red waves of petals sweeping him away and pushing him out of the house.

Yu Zou woke up with a start, his head throbbing. After the throbbing pain subsided, he could gradually hear sounds around him, including groans, heavy breathing, and sweet murmurs.

Yu Zou jolted awake to find his hands handcuffed to the headboard. The ceiling pattern was designed by him personally, and the cage connecting the bed to the ceiling was inspired by Du Pianjian. Only one side was open. He was now in the house where he had lived with Du Pianjian.

The wall-mounted TV facing the bed was the source of all the sound; the picture was appalling. At the foot of the bed, a black, fuzzy head lay tilted to one side. Yu Zou took a deep breath and shouted, "Du Pianjian!"

Du Pianjian stiffly turned her head, gave him a dim look, and then turned back. From Yu Zou's perspective, the other person slowly lowered their head a little, raised their hand, and turned up their voice.

"Turn it off!" Yu Zou shouted even louder, trying to drown out the sound of the television.

Du Pianjian didn't reply, so he pressed the remote control again, and another movie switched in, quickly getting into the foreplay.

“Du Pianjian! I know you heard me.”

Du Pianjian's shoulders twitched, and she rushed to the bathroom to vomit. Yu Zou subconsciously tried to get up and follow her, but was handcuffed back, her wrists throbbing with pain.

When Du Pianjian came out wiping the water stains from his chin, Yu Zou looked at his bloodshot eyes with utmost sincerity and said, "Turn it off, I'm begging you."

The room was filled with high-pitched screams, and Du Pianjian finally agreed to stop it.

Yu Zou breathed a sigh of relief and said, "Let's talk, okay? What problem have you encountered? What do you need me to do?"

"I've already told you."

"Remarry? And then what?"

Du Pianjian remained silent, and Yu Zou continued, "I didn't mean to deceive you. It's precisely because I know what caused your gloomy mood that I decided I would never become one of them."

This is how I love you. Even though you don't love me, I won't hurt you because of that. I'm just a little angry that you look down on my love. But, my dear reader, I won't despise this love because of you.

The love a person can give is based on their understanding. Some people give so much love that you feel you haven't even scratched the surface, but it may already be all the love they can give.

For three years, I gave you all the love I knew, but I couldn't move you. You weren't wrong, and neither was I.

At least, in the end, I was always good to you. Maybe it was just in a way you didn't like. My dear, you deserve normal, positive love, but I deserve it too.

So, let's go back to our original relationship and cooperate. Or, let's go back even further and be strangers.

"Are you finished?" Du Pianjian asked indifferently. Seeing Yu Zou nod, he added, "I disagree."

With a clatter of plastic, his hand, which had been in his right trouser pocket, emerged clutching an unopened vial. He unwrapped it, the needle piercing the soft leather vial, which contained a thumb-sized, clear liquid. The sound of the liquid being drawn was intermittent.

Du Pianjian pushed the piston, forcing out the air until the liquid could flow out smoothly. He looked at Yu Zou, his voice as calm as still water: "Leave or die, choose one."

Then he contradicted himself: "No, you have no choice."

The fine needle pierced Du Pianjian's own arm vein. Yu Zou watched his movements and at that moment he truly felt how terrifying Du Pianjian was, more terrifying than ever before.

Du Pianjian's hand fell down, blood beaded from the needle hole, the medicine bottle fell to the ground and rolled under the cabinet.

As the two locked eyes, Yu Zou asked again, "What are you doing?"

Du Pianjian took out a strip of medicine from his pocket, popped out one pill, paused, popped out another pill, held it in his palm, and walked towards Yu Zou.

Yu Zou's struggles were in vain. Du Pianjian pinched his mouth, stuffed the medicine in, and then sealed his mouth with her own, pushing the pills down his throat.

As Yu Zou was forced to swallow, Du Pianjian gagged uncontrollably, his spasming esophagus refluxing saliva. He gripped Yu Zou even tighter, trying to use him to fight against another force within his body.

When facing Yu Zou, there are always two forces fighting within him.

My heart says yes, but my body says no.

Why are certain parts of the body refusing to cooperate?

Later, Du Pianjian realized that if he accepted Yu's report, those bad parts would completely disappear.

What life would willingly die and disappear? It resists so much, resisting being changed by Du Pianjian, in order to live on in Du Pianjian's body for a long time.

But if the path to change leads to something better, then a little pain now is okay.

Du Pianjian straddled Yu Zou and leaned down to kiss him. Her hastily learned technique was sufficient for her crumbling sanity. Yu Zou quickly became impatient, the bracelet tugging at the wood making a coughing sound. Du Pianjian glanced up and saw it was already bleeding.

Du Pianjian took out the key from his pocket and unlocked the door. He thought Yu Zou would hug him, but instead Yu Zou flipped him onto the bed, rushed to the bathroom and locked the door. The sound of vomiting immediately followed.

Then came the sound of water, then the sound of vomiting, then the sound of water again.

Du Pianjian stood there, stunned. A huge sense of shame overwhelmed him, making his head feel like it was about to burst into pieces. It was as if he was the one who had swallowed the medicine, and his whole body felt like it was on fire.

He also felt nauseous.

Yu Zou vomited until his eyes were red and his whole body ached. He watched as the half-melted pills were washed away by the water.

His heart finally calmed down a little.

Yu Zou collapsed weakly beside the pool; it was quiet inside and out, without a sound.

Only then did he see himself in the mirror. He pulled open his collar and saw a blank silver plaque covered with a hyacinth hanging on his chest. His head injury had also been properly treated and was wrapped in gauze.

Du Pianjian stood on the balcony, the clothes drying there swaying slightly. Looking down, the broken tombstone stood quietly among the withered branches of the hyacinth.

The tombstone drew closer and closer, seemingly within reach.

When Du Pianjian regained consciousness, the ground was shaking, the flowers were getting further and further away from him, and the tearing pain in his arm forced him to look up to see what was happening.

"Du Pianjian! Grab me!"

Du Pianjian did not move, but simply looked up.

Yu Zou leaned half his body over the railing, the color of his clothes swaying behind him growing increasingly intense—it was fire, burning fire.

Du Pianjian lowered his head again, and the black soil surged up like water, icy water.

He slightly twisted his wrist, trying to break free from the restraint.

"Piece of paper! Don't move! Please, don't move, I'll pull you up, okay?"

Yu Zou was terrified; this was the third floor! Amidst a series of reassuring words, his mind was actually blank, and he couldn't hear what he was saying. All he wanted was to pull the person up as quickly as possible.

Du Pianjian looked up again and saw the white burns on the arm that was holding him, spreading from his wrist to his shoulder. A drop of blood fell on it, burning all the scars open again.

Du Pianjian raised her head a little higher and saw that the gauze on Yu Zou's forehead was bright red and was bleeding.

Did the burning steel bar hit his head as well?

Du Pianjian raised his other hand, and Yu Zou was overjoyed, thinking that he had finally come to his senses, but he saw that Du Pianjian wiped away the blood droplets on his arm with his index finger and held it in front of him.

"Give me your hand, a piece of paper."

Yu Zou could feel his body becoming increasingly out of control, his strength gradually dissipating. If this continued, he would eventually lose control.

The moment came so fast that he stumbled against the balcony railing, and the necklace slipped out of his clothes, hitting the railing with a crisp sound.

Du Pianjian, who had been looking down at the tombstone, suddenly looked up, followed the swaying necklace upwards, and saw Yu Zou's eager gaze. She slowly uttered two words: "Yu Zou?"

"It's me, give me your hand."

Yu Zou's outstretched hand reached out again, this time with great effort. This time, Du Pianjian reached out and touched him without hesitation.

After Yu Zou was pulled up, he quickly closed the balcony door and leaned against the glass, panting. Before he could say a word, Du Pianjian rushed up to him, her voice trembling with grievance and on the verge of tears: "Don't go, I don't want to be separated from you. I'd rather die here with you."

Yu Zou stared, stunned.

Du Pianjian's sunken eye sockets and raven-feather-like eyelashes trembled incessantly, and a tear rolled down her cheeks.

So aggressive yet so pitiful.

He had no choice.

He hugged Du Pianjian and said, "Tell me you love me."

Why do you always talk about love?

"Because I need love, I need you to love me."

Even with his efforts, some of the drug remained in his body, taking effect. His rationality became increasingly difficult to maintain, and he heard Du Pianjian's answers more and more, so he moved closer and closer to Du Pianjian's ear and neck.

"Then what do you want me to do? Sleep with you? Or what? Tell me clearly, and I'll do as you say."

"If only you could explain it clearly. What does it mean to love someone, hmm? Tell me, so I can do the same."

The curve from his forehead to the bridge of his nose fit perfectly. The hot air he exhaled seemed to be 100 degrees Celsius.

Du Pianjian's body went limp, and he could barely stand, only managing to maintain a standing posture by relying on Yu Zou's embrace. He murmured, "Gentle, lovely, I tried my best. I want you to be obedient, to listen to me, and not to leave me."

Yu Zou wrapped his arm around Du Pianjian's hand, pressed his thumb against the mole below her lip, lifted her chin, and kissed her firmly. The saliva carried the scent of each other's pheromones. Du Pianjian squinted slightly, opened her lips, and responded to him somewhat awkwardly.

Their tongues intertwined, the area they could move in was damp and cramped, so they could only try harder to entangle each other's space.
