"Where's the admiral?" Shen Que's voice was hoarse.
"A guest just came, and he went to take care of something."
Anya opened the silver plates one by one, revealing the exquisite meals.
The porridge smells light but it is obviously made with a lot of ingredients, including refreshing vegetables, a little stewed meat and a plate of ghee biscuits.
"Has he eaten dinner?" Shen Que asked after glancing at the dinner plate.
"I've eaten. Seeing you were sound asleep, I didn't want to wake you up. The Admiral was too hungry to bear it, so he finished it himself."
"This one is reserved for my wife."
Anya helped Shen Que up.
Shen Que replied to Anya in her eager eyes: "I can do it myself."
Then he picked up the knife and fork and began to eat slowly.
His movements were still very slow because his digestive function had not yet fully recovered. He chewed each bite carefully and stopped after eating for a while.
His tired taste buds couldn't taste much, but he could still feel the care that went into preparing the dinner.
Anya didn't leave for some reason. She stood aside properly and cleared her throat.
Every time Shen Que changed a dish, she would introduce it in a few words.
“These are edible pearl oysters and white lake shrimp that are specially raised on Blue Planet No. 33.
"The breeding environment is completely similar to the previous Earth. Sister Demi said the Admiral really likes the food."
"This is the heart of the vegetable from Base 50, the space base with the artificial sun that our lord invested in and built ten years ago."
"And the meat pigs at Breeding Center No. 110... they can only raise 600, no no no, 500, a year! Yes, 500..."
“Ah… this…”
"This is good." Shen Que took a bite of the biscuit.
The sweetness everywhere just dominates the taste buds, mixed with some mellow milk flavor.
Anya pursed her lips contentedly.
"These are the little cookies I baked especially for my wife. The Admiral doesn't have any."
Shen Que took in all her little movements.
The servants here took good care of him.
But it wasn't because of him.
But it was because she was the admiral's "wife" and the Omega of the young lord of Baisha Star.
This identity... was given to him by Pei Ji.
After dinner, Shen Que wiped the corner of his mouth with a cloth towel, as elegant as a cat.
"Ma'am, do you need me to take you to the Admiral?"
Anya asked tentatively.
"I just asked Sister Demi, the Admiral and his guests are watching the stars on the terrace of the tower."
Shen Que paused in wiping his hands.
Stargazing...
"Need not."
He shook his head slightly.
"He's busy."
In the morning you could use breakfast as an excuse, but now that you’ve already had dinner, what other excuses do you have?
Ask him if he wants to go back to sleep?
Still questioning him: “Why didn’t you tag me?”
Shen Que subconsciously stroked the gland.
"It's as if I was asking him to bite me." He smiled self-deprecatingly.
…
"What?"
Pei Ji's loud voice came from the terrace of the tower.
"He woke up? Why did you tell me now?!"
He looked at Demi resentfully.
She was unfaithful.
She didn't even tell him right away that his beloved wife had woken up!
Pei Ji: "Has he eaten dinner yet? Has he finished it? Does he still like the pearl oysters, white lake shrimp, pork and cabbage that I carefully selected?"
"I ate it, I ate it."
Demi looked at her admiral with disdain as he put out his cigarette in a very ungraceful manner, grabbed his coat and rushed out to the terrace.
"I can't say I like it, but I don't have much to say about it anyway."
Pei Ji frowned. "Did you forget to introduce him to the newcomer? I told you she's unreliable and I'll fire her tomorrow!"
DeMilla drawled, "Don't worry—he's recited everything he needs to, and Madam has listened to it, but he didn't comment on the literal meaning... Oh, and he did praise the cookies Anya baked."
"Little cookies?" Pei Ji stopped and asked doubtfully, "Do all Omegas like to eat something so sweet?"
"What do you mean 'all Omegas like this sweet stuff'? What did we Omegas do to you?"
Another charming voice sounded.
"Your words are very Alpha-centric. Be careful that the Omega Rights Protection Association will come to investigate you for sexism."
Shafiya took a puff of her cigarette and leaned casually against the railing, looking at the Alpha with amusement, whose intelligence had become low the moment he heard someone wake up.
The blue dance dress outlines her exquisite figure, and her hair is tied up high, revealing a large area of snow-white skin on her back.
The face was extremely bright and beautiful, with a light red mole under the upturned eye.
Anyone who frequents the Desert Tavern knows that even Omegas of the same gender are often captivated by this face.
Pei Ji glanced at the top dancer whose dance was worth 10,000 star coins.
The little bit of hospitality etiquette left in his mind prevented him from throwing Shafiya onto the terrace.
He turned and told Demi, "Go to the commander first and see if he needs anything else."
"Don't fire that new guy yet. Go to the kitchen and bake some more cookies."
"By the way, the commander needs to take his medicine thirty minutes after dinner. Watch him finish it and don't throw it away."
Demi responded and left.
Pei Ji turned to Shafiya and said, "Let's talk about it later. It's getting late today. I'll walk you to the door."
Shafiya made a "tsk" sound, stretched out her hand to Pei Ji and made a pinky promise.
Pei Ji looked at her in confusion: "What for?"
"What?! What's the deposit for?" Shafiya looked at Pei Ji speechlessly. "According to the industry rules, half of the deposit must be paid first."
She changed her tone to a disgusting yet charming one: "What's going on~ General, people say pregnancy makes a woman stupid for three years, you are pregnant~ Congratulations~"
Pei Ji chuckled: "If there's going to be a baby, it won't be me."
"Also, don't talk to me in that disgusting tone of yours. I almost vomited up my last meal."
He waved to the maid Phil and whispered, "Three thousand star coins, in cash, to be delivered to the Desert Tavern."
Shafiya retracted her disgusting tone: "Hey~ sensible~"
She put out the cigarette and looked back at the morning star in the sky that was emitting a cool glow.
Noble, distant, beautiful.
"What a pity for the beautiful stars in the sky."
Shafiya followed Pei Ji's pace.
"Admiral Pei, you should take the Commander to see the stars. Omegas love that."
Pei Ji frowned, but did not stop walking.
"What's so good about the stars? I'm tired of seeing them from aboard a warship. And Shen Que isn't in good health. What if I catch a cold from the breeze?"
Shafiya: "How on earth did an Alpha like you, who has no romantic sense at all, get a wife?"
Pei Ji: "It's allocated by my country, what right do you have to interfere?"
