Among the three people on the blacklist, Pei Ji and Austin have the worst relationship.
Jiang Jianyue of course knew that they both had a crush on Chen Que.
Few who participated in that summer training did not admire this senior from the main school.
Good-looking and powerful.
No child could stand this.
"Why are you suddenly concerned about him?" Jiang Jianyue asked slowly, "Have you reconciled with Austin?"
Pei Ji sneered, "How is that possible? That bastard followed Shen Que at my inheritance banquet, and I let Luo Yuan teach him a lesson, which was already a nostalgia."
"Has he done such a bastard thing?" Jiang Jianyue was surprised.
She rested her hand on her chin, not knowing what she was thinking about.
Pei Ji: "When something happens to Duke Owen, I always feel that he might know something."
Jiang Jianyue seemed to be lost in thought. "I only contacted him once. He looked quite haggard, and his mood was... not quite right. I wonder if it was about the inheritance."
"Inheritance?" Pei Ji was stunned. "Is Duke Owen dead?"
Jiang Jianyue: "Rumor has it he's not dead, just seriously ill. But nobles are always like this. They start planning how to divide the inheritance the moment he becomes seriously ill."
Pei Ji and Shen Que looked at each other.
Jiang Jianyue twirled her chin and narrowed her eyes slightly.
After Pei Ji reminded her, she suddenly realized that Austin was indeed a little abnormal at that time. That expression seemed to show that he wanted to say something but didn't.
If it were someone else, Jiang Jianyue might ask his superior first.
But Austin's superior was the commander of the Fifth Fleet, Lu Sirang.
This person...she really doesn't like him.
"Austin might indeed have some issues." Jiang Jianyue said, "I just happened to have an appointment with Donald. After meeting the Queen, I'll go see him..."
She was halfway through her words when two sets of footsteps were heard from not far away.
Then came an exclamation: "Ah! There they are!"
"Sister Jiang——"
The three of them looked in the direction of the voice.
I saw two figures, one tall and one short, walking towards me.
The tall man was a burly figure, wearing a black military uniform. He had white hair, bronze skin, and muscles that stretched the uniform tight. It was Donald.
The short man was thin and dressed in a white military uniform. His blond hair was short and sleek, reaching earlobes. He was the commander-in-chief of the Third Fleet and the only Beta commander among the seven fleets, Wenti.
Wenti came trotting over, her mouth bulging with something stuffed in it.
"You haven't met Her Majesty yet? That's great, I have company! It would be a little scary to meet her alone."
"Didn't you go to the anniversary market to queue up for limited edition candies?" Jiang Jianyue asked.
"That's it!"
Wenti pointed to her mouth, bit hard with her teeth, and "crunched" something.
The refreshing smell of sugar permeates the air.
"Tianfu Star's anniversary special, Liuli Xinghe, comes in seven flavors. I happened to run into Donald, and he bought a lot, so I bought it directly from him."
The filling inside the hard candy flowed out, and Wenti closed her eyes in ecstasy.
“It’s delicious.”
Donald pulled out a handful of candy from the paper bag in his arms.
"You want more? There's more."
Jiang Jianyue took one and twisted the exquisite outer packaging to admire it. "It's very beautiful."
She glanced at the paper bag covered with cute stickers in Donald's arms, and his strong chest muscles behind the bag.
"You're actually going to arrange this?"
Donald folded the paper package carefully.
"Not me."
He handed the paper bag to Pei Ji.
“I’m a purchasing agent.”
"Thank you."
Pei Ji took the paper bag, picked out a piece from it, peeled off the candy wrapper skillfully, and handed it to Shen Que's mouth.
"Try it."
Shen Que followed his movements and took the candy.
Jiang Jianyue suddenly didn't know whether she should eat the candy in her hand or not. Wen Ti bit the remaining candy and her eyes became ambiguous.
"Disgusting," Donald commented seriously.
"Don't look at it, it's disgusting." Pei Ji rolled his eyes at him.
"I waited in line for six hours," Donald reminded him.
Pei Ji: "Ahaha, thank you for your hard work."
"If I were you, I would pin him to the ground and beat him up right now," Wendy said to Donald.
Donald thought about it seriously and said, "It's not a good influence."
He said seriously, "His wife is still here."
The implication was to save face for Pei Ji.
Pei Ji raised his eyebrows. "You should wait until you have the ability before you say that, okay?"
Jiang Jianyue sighed and silently put the candy into his pocket.
Just at this moment, the guards hurried down the stairs.
"Sorry for the wait, generals. His Majesty is waiting in the palace."
Several people quickly adjusted their uniforms.
Donald, who had already met Carolina, waited outside the palace, while the remaining four followed the attendants into the Queen's palace.
Carolina sat solemnly on the throne, holding a scepter in her hand, with a stern expression on her face.
The attendants were lined up on both sides.
The four of them walked through the towering pillars and knelt on one knee side by side in the order of the fleet.
"His Majesty."
Carolina's eyes swept from left to right over the generals she was proud of, and finally landed on Shen Que, who was in the first place.
He is very healthy.
A warm current surged from the bottom of my heart.
Carolina's eyes flickered slightly, but her voice remained solemn: "Commander Shen, have you been recovering well recently?"
"Thank you for your concern, Your Majesty. Everything is fine." Shen Que said in a calm voice.
She told Shen Que to stand up and greeted Jiang Jianyue and Wen Ti.
The two men stood up separately, and Pei Ji was the last to arrive.
Carolina looked at the Alpha kneeling on the ground, the corners of her mouth twitched, and her tone suddenly changed: "Did you enjoy your vacation, General Pei?"
