Chapter 53 Don’t Explain First

Shen Que stopped struggling.

The man in front of him lifted his black cloak, revealing Pei Ji's handsome face.

The smell of sand emanated from the man.

A long-lost, dry smell.

Shen Que's tense body suddenly relaxed.

"Let me go."

He breathed softly, his voice revealing helplessness.

"Let you go? You still have the nerve to say let you go?"

Pei Ji pressed down again, his knee digging between Shen Que's legs.

“Hmm…” Shen Que murmured, “Don’t!”

He patted Pei Ji's hand that was touching him randomly.

Seeing that Shen Que looked uncomfortable, Pei Ji stopped pinching his chin and started holding his face.

But his legs were still restless, rubbing against the inside of Chen Que, causing the commander to shrink back continuously, wishing he could get stuck in the door.

The two of them put their noses together, and Chen Que sighed: "I'm not..."

"Don't explain yet, let me lose my temper first!"

Pei Ji interrupted him and raised his voice.

"Do you know how that dealer looked at you just now? Do you know that standing here is like a piece of cake in front of a stray dog?"

"Every one of them wants to eat you up. I'm so jealous..."

"They are jealous because I am good at playing cards. They want to trick me into playing a cheating game and extort money from me." Shen Que explained helplessly.

"That won't work either!"

Okay.

Shen Que glanced at Pei Ji speechlessly.

He is unreasonable, but he is right.

"I apologize." Shen Que said.

"That's more like it."

Pei Ji let go of Chen Que. The moment he left, Chen Que slid down half an inch and was held up by Pei Ji.

Shen Que frowned, holding his elbow and hissing.

"What's wrong?" Pei Ji's voice became tense. "Did it hurt you?"

"No."

Just a little sore and numb.

The warm breath instantly became thicker, as if to comfort him. Shen Que subconsciously sniffed the pheromones belonging to Pei Ji.

"I'm not made of glass."

"It's almost done." Pei Ji muttered.

He carefully picked up Chen Que and slowly placed him on the high-backed chair beside him, as if he was really holding a fragile object.

The colorful light screen changed in front of the gambling table, and the whole room was filled with the atmosphere of luxury and decadence.

After helping Chen Que tuck a strand of hair behind his ear, Pei Ji touched the back of his head to confirm that there were no injuries.

Rough fingers gently stroked Shen Que's slightly pale face, and Pei Ji spoke in a low voice:

"The Symbiotic Stone is gone, so why don't you wait for me to come back and deal with it?"

Shen Que said coldly: "So you know what I'm doing here and you're scaring me?"

"I'm going to teach you a lesson," Pei Ji said fiercely, "so that you can have some self-awareness about your own body."

"You've had one banquet, and this is the second time. If it happens a third time, I'll lock you up in Shenxing Palace and imprison you forever."

He doesn't dare.

After getting along with each other for so long, Shen Que had already discovered that Pei Ji's dominance and violence were only reflected on the battlefield and in his annoying mouth.

He ignored the paper tiger's alarmist words and raised his cold eyes.

"I've finished explaining. Now isn't it your turn to explain?"

"Shouldn't you be in the Fourth Fleet now? Why are you here?"

Pei Ji choked and said, "I was just passing by and was afraid you couldn't stand the loneliness, so I came back to check on you, couldn't I?"

Shen Que glanced at him.

If he hadn't known the Fourth Fleet's route, he would have believed it.

But luckily...it wasn't a suspension or anything.

A complex emotion flashed across Shen Que's eyes, but he quickly calmed down.

He suppressed the throbbing in his heart, and when he spoke, there was still no ups and downs or emotions in his voice.

"I'm going to go to Old A'Sha next." Shen Que said, "The Symbiotic Stone was most likely taken away by his mercenaries."

"Rejected." Pei Ji rejected it. "Is this the time for you to worry about Shi Tou? You're like a wilted cabbage in the field. Demi said you haven't slept well these past few days. Come back with me and rest!"

As he spoke, he pulled up the heavy hood and covered his head, buttoned it tightly, and was about to use force to take the man away.

"No." Chen Que lifted a corner of his hood, his eyes dark, like the cold night, "That's my stone, I want it back."

Pei Ji wanted to say something, but he swallowed it back the moment he met Chen Que's gaze.

He had seen this look in Shen Que's eyes before.

Calm, aloof, suppressing a dangerous glow.

In the interstellar battle in 2155, the commander-in-chief of the seven fleets in the light curtain issued one harsh order after another with this kind of eyes.

What a waste.

It's clearly the look that should appear on the battlefield, showing decisiveness and killing intent.

Pei Ji couldn't deny the happiness that welled up in his heart when he learned that Shen Que cared about the stone. At least the gift he carefully prepared was not in vain.

He couldn't ask for his favor even if he wanted it.

But he still felt it wasn't worth it.

Shen Que should belong to the vast universe, rather than being trapped on his small planet, running around for a piece of stone.

After a moment of silence, Pei Ji slowed down his tone and said, "I'll go for you. You go home now, okay?"

"I want to follow." Shen Que said.

Two equally sharp gazes collided and intertwined in the air, neither giving in.

After a brief stalemate, Pei Ji was defeated.

He just couldn't do anything about Shen Que.

Pei Ji called for a registration device and after iris recognition, a gold coin symbol appeared on the terminals on the wrists of both of them.

"You need to register your ID to enter the VIP box, unless you have a higher-level identity. If you had gone in like that just now, everyone in the desert would know that my wife, Pei Ji, went to the casino tomorrow." Pei Ji explained, "Then we'd have to go to the hot search disco again."

Shen Que glanced at the gold coin badge on the terminal, "It seems that the admiral is a frequent visitor here?"

"Yeah." Pei Ji leaned close to Chen Que's ear and gritted his teeth, "I've slept with all the Omegas here! Every one of them is more delicate than you!"

Shen Que looked up at him coldly.

Pei Ji immediately backed off: "Fake, fake... I'm cleaner than the ice cubes on Jiluo Star. How about I take off all my clothes and show you?"

Automatically blocking Pei Ji's dirty talk, Shen Que sent a message to Xing Yao, asking him to wait near the slot machine, and if anyone noticed, he could go up and play a few rounds.

Anyway, this game is purely based on luck and does not require any skills.

After resting for a while, the two knocked on the door of Lao Asha's box.

A golden-haired Omega opened the door, bringing with him the smell of cigarettes and lingering pheromones.

Shen Que took out the dried desert rose.

Omega took it doubtfully, walked back into the room, and came out after a while, letting the two in.

There was a luxurious gambling table in the room, and a colorful light curtain was moving in the air.

Old Ah Shark sat on a red high-back chair, his only remaining eye staring at the two people who came in with amusement.

His eyes almost immediately locked onto the two men's wrists, and then he laughed.

"Look, look, it's the dancer's distinguished guest. Tell me, what do you want from an old man like me?"
