Chapter 72 Giving Children Their Own Money (1/2)

"Coming!" Fan Jiang shouted, his sturdy body thumping as he ran in first.

Yan Qiuxing and the other three followed them in.

For a month and a half, we had meat and eggs at every meal, and occasionally we would have stewed old hen soup. With the improved diet, everyone in the family gained a lot of weight.

Yan Qiuxing's sunken cheeks gradually puffed out a bit. The eleven or twelve-year-old girl had grown up a bit, and her wrists and figure were no longer as thin as sticks. She looked pretty and delicate.

Shuiqing looked at her two daughters with immense joy!

Sun Jinhua initially claimed that her daughter was unlucky, as thin as a corn stalk. But it wasn't that she was unlucky; it was clearly that she was skimping on her daughter's food and causing her to suffer from hunger year after year.

Then I looked at the smallest one, Fan Hu. He used to be short and stocky with a big head and a small body, but he had grown taller.

Fan He has gained weight, but the difference isn't too significant yet.

These four children all appear to be the same size and build as Fan Jin, tall and slender.

Shui Qing's gaze finally landed on Fan Jiang, who was the first to enter the room.

It is sturdy and robust, resembling a small mountain when still and a moving small mountain when walking.

This child inherited traits from his maternal grandfather and maternal uncle.

In the past, when everyone ate less, they were all thin and the difference wasn't too obvious. But after the food has improved over the past month, while others' growth is still within reason, this child is growing like he's been given baking powder, growing bigger and bigger!

Feeling uneasy under her gaze, Fan Jiang asked innocently, "Mother, what's wrong?"

Shuiqing convinced herself that it was a good time for the child to grow, and it was okay for him to be a little chubby. Besides, Dajiang wasn't fat, he was strong.

People with large frames are at a disadvantage; they can easily gain a little weight and look very strong and robust.

She looked away and pointed to the two slightly deflated cloth bags on the bed, saying, "Yan Qiu, Xing Hui, these two wallets are yours."

"Wallet?" Yan Qiuxing asked, bewildered.

Shui Qing didn't answer, but pointed to three other bulging cloth bags and said, "Jiang He Hu, these three are yours."

Seeing their bulging purses, the three were even more delighted.

"Mother, will you give us money?"

"I have money now? Can I use it as I please?"

"Mother, isn't this too much money? Is it appropriate for us to have more than my sister?"

Holding the heavy purse, the three of them started chattering excitedly.

Shui Qing raised an eyebrow and asked bluntly, "If it's not suitable, are you willing to change it?"

Jiang Hehu shook his head, adhering strictly to his own principles.

If the older sister doesn't have any, they can give her some, but they won't exchange it.

The village chief's grandson has a slingshot, which is great! They've been envious for a long time. Now that they have their own money, their dream is within reach, how can they give it up?!

It's only human nature to not be bothered by clear water.

You'll regret this later.

"Mother, isn't this a bit too much?" Yan Qiu asked worriedly.

"No, no, sister, how can you complain about having too much money?" Fan He replied hastily.

Shui Qing smiled and said, "These are for you. Keep them safe. When you go to the city later, if you want to eat or play anything, just pay for it yourself."

"But it's agreed that we'll each buy what we can afford, and once it's used up, that's it."

"Go to the city?" One second they were still immersed in the joy of having money, and the next second an even greater joy came.
