Chapter Seventy: Brothers' Car Dealership, the Winning Weapon

"No problem, with friendly forces helping to hold them off, we have at least a half-hour window of opportunity."

After careful consideration, Sergei's conclusion was even more optimistic than Xia Yu's.

"Then I'm relieved. This is the key to our victory the day after tomorrow, so we absolutely cannot be careless."

Xia Yu breathed a slight sigh of relief, and then said solemnly.

On the front lines, the most important thing is teamwork, and so far, they have been working well together.

It was still afternoon, and as the rebels were getting bored, the roar of a 6-cylinder water-cooled diesel engine finally rang out in the distance.

It wasn't just one car like before; this time, three cars arrived in total, and the news was quickly relayed to Cohen.

"So, the three-car crew has finally decided to increase the workload?"

Seeing that the enemy had finally taken the bait, Cohen finally showed a genuine smile.

He was right. The real strength was that military contracting company. What could Anka, a deputy battalion commander who came from a different background, possibly know about mechanized warfare?

Educational discrimination exists everywhere, and Afica is no exception.

Because Xiao Anka did not graduate from a professional acting school, he was looked down upon by the battalion commanders on both sides.

However, they couldn't compete with the other side's impressive track record and superior equipment.

On the Panaka front, even the best-performing battalion commanders from the Busa side lost at least one infantry fighting vehicle.

If you're unlucky and bad at both, and all your infantry fighting vehicles and transport vehicles are wiped out, you'd better go and command the infantry!

Little Anka is different. He not only commands the only heavy infantry battalion in the country, but has also managed to enter the city of Bomatou without losing a single vehicle.

Comparing yourself to others is just asking for trouble!

Xia Yu stated that anyone can become the next Little Anka if they use their financial power correctly.

"Thump~ thump~ thump~~"

The first vehicle fired, and scalding hot shell casings flew and fell in strings, piercing through the thin cover and cruelly eliminating an RPG shooter.

It's not that this is a shoddy construction project, but this flower bed never imagined that one day it would be pierced by a 20mm steel needle!

"Keep your distance and keep moving forward."

After Xia Yu contacted friendly forces, the three vehicle crews continued their forward assault while maintaining their formation.

In the rebels' operations command center, Cohen was also moving and placing the three small vehicle models representing infantry fighting vehicles on the map based on the constant messages coming back from the front.

Ever since he witnessed the anti-tank position being bombarded by machine guns, he has never dared to go to the front line again. It's much better to conduct war games in the command post and remotely control the battlefield.

It was quite good, especially since Anka's three crews plunged headlong into the trap he had set.

"Sir, the enemy has been successfully repelled by our troops!"

Um?

Cohen was taken aback. He had told these guys to put up a token resistance, so how could they have repelled three Weasel trucks?

"Sir, the enemy's middle vehicle suddenly stalled, and the infantrymen in both vehicles have come down to stand guard."

Then another message came in, which also answered Cohen's question from another angle.

That's right, this is Anka's true strength.

How could you possibly travel from Iku to Bomatou without a single vehicle breaking down, especially these demanding Western European cars?

Cohen's own BMP-2 has problems every now and then, so Anka would definitely have an even bigger headache if he were in Anka's shoes.

So, should we take this opportunity to keep these three cars for good?

Cohen didn't hesitate much. Three cars weren't enough for him, and scaring away the remaining cars would be a loss.

However, he could increase his efforts and make Anka's people abandon the car on their own.

This line of thinking is correct, but Cohen doesn't know that it's all scripted, and specifically performed for him.

"Oh right, what about the other car?"

After issuing the order to intensify the crackdown, Cohen discovered that there were only two crews here.

"The first vehicle turned onto a side road and attacked our troops everywhere, seemingly trying to create chaos and buy time for our allies."

The frontline commander immediately reported this.

He saw what Xia Yu wanted him to see, without realizing it at all.

"Have someone keep an eye on him and prevent him from entering the central area."

Cohen didn't care about the car; he was more concerned about the broken-down Weasel and was determined to keep it.

And so, Xia Yu and his group successfully entered the target area.

"Quick, quick, watch out for your surroundings."

Xia Yu quickly got off the bus among the six people, just like yesterday.

"Mongoose, start the timer. Meet in 20 minutes."

After the armored door closed, Xia Yu spoke quickly.

"Yes, commander!"

After ending the communication, Domi shifted gears, stepped on the gas, and drove away from the scene.

On the battlefield, people kept stopping their vehicles to create the illusion that they were still in the cars.

The team of seven also arrived at the nearest building.

This is the Bomatu telecommunications building. It's unclear which operator it belongs to, but the first floor is filled with stalls selling mobile phones.

The roller shutters of the shops were torn open by external force, and the glass of the doors and windows was shattered by sharp objects, leaving the inside a complete mess.

Even if we don't use it, the rebels have already come here to buy things for free, but we don't know how well they got anything.

Without lingering, the group used buildings to conceal their movements and quickly moved to their final destination: a construction machinery dealership called "Eelin Brothers".

Xia Yu knew the two brothers. A year ago, he sold three XCMG excavators in Busa, and the two brothers were the clients.

They even invited him to visit Bomatu, but Xia Yu was busy buying and selling goods and didn't have time at all.

More than a year later, Bomatu fell into the control of the rebels, and the two brothers disappeared without a trace, leaving only an empty showroom and a backyard used for vehicle repairs.

The XCMG excavators, originally intended for rental, were used by the rebels as roadblocks – a truly wasteful use of their resources.

After confirming that there were no rebels nearby, the seven men went around from the car dealership entrance to the backyard.

"This is it, 02, come here."

He called out to Alexander, the strongest of the six, who was crouching with his back to the courtyard wall, his hands clasped together in front of him.

"Whoosh~~"

Xia Yu took a running start and sprinted forward, stepping on his hand with his right foot and sending him upward with a force.

They successfully climbed onto the wall, then turned around and went down into the yard.

The space here is large enough to park a large excavator weighing over 35 tons; it would be really difficult to hide such a big thing anywhere else.

With a wave of his hand, Xia Yu conjured up a winning weapon, fully fueled and loaded with ammunition.

He looked around and found a dusty tarpaulin to cover it.

That way, even if a drone flies by, it won't know what's in the yard.

After confirming that everything was safe, Xia Yu did not return the way he came. Instead, he went directly to the exhibition hall in front and locked the previously half-open door from the outside.

"Calling 01, mission complete, prepare for evacuation."

After making the contact, I glanced at my tactical watch; there were 8 minutes left on the countdown.

That was enough. After he met up with Sergei and the others, they retreated directly to the previous communications building.

Just as they arrived, Domi followed closely behind, except that the bulletproof grille on the left side of the vehicle had a large hole in it.

"Sorry, I was too slow to notice. The RPG took a bite out of me, but thankfully it didn't penetrate."

Hans immediately apologized to Xia Yu.

β€œIt’s not your fault. The two-person crew has too many limitations. It looks like I need to recruit another commander.”

Xia Yu had an idea in mind.

He happened to have a suitable candidate, but the person's contract hadn't ended yet, so it would be better to discuss it after the war was over.
