Bai Youyou was stunned for a moment, a look of doubt flashing in her pure eyes. Although she couldn't understand Lin Xiao's expression, she still nodded gently.
The reason is simple: Lin Xiao looks like the missing Feng Qi.
For her, Feng Qi was a warm and caring older brother.
It was a ray of light in her otherwise silent life.
But that beam of light disappeared not long ago.

Although Lin Xiao heard the whispers around him, he chose to ignore them and focused all his attention on Bai Youyou's reaction.
Lin Xiao turned his head and smiled gently at Bai Youyou, "If anyone bothers you again, just let me know."
His voice was deep and magnetic, giving people a sense of sincerity.
Bai Youyou looked at Lin Xiao, a hint of gratitude flashing in her eyes, "Thank you."

This wasn't their first meeting.
The two had just bumped into each other while getting food at the second canteen yesterday evening.
Bai Youyou stared at Lin Xiao for a while because his appearance resembled Feng Qi from her memory.

Feng Qi, a prominent figure at Jiangcheng Conservatory of Music, starred in a BL (Boys' Love) drama adapted from a film produced with funding from the Feng family. The drama became a huge hit, and Feng Qi quickly rose to fame.
But since his mysterious disappearance four months ago, no one has seen him again.
While pondering a theory in the book, Lin Xiao unconsciously stretched out his leg and accidentally bumped into Bai Youyou opposite him.
He quickly withdrew his leg, and said with an embarrassed smile, "Sorry, I moved too much."
Bai Youyou raised her head, her expression slightly complicated, as if searching for something in Lin Xiao's face.

He took a box of Lotus Biscoff caramel cookies out of his bag and gently placed it on the table.
"I brought some snacks; I hope it won't disturb your reading. I think it's much better than a note."
Bai Youyou glanced at the cookies and smiled slightly.
"Hmm. Thank you, I like this brand of caramel cookies."
Meanwhile, the male students sitting at the other three tables watched this scene in astonishment, their hearts churning with mixed emotions.
"He actually started chatting with the school beauty? And he even brought snacks for her? How is this guy so good at flirting? It's like he's a genius!"
"Is this what they call perfect teamwork? He can guess what the school beauty likes; I'm so envious. When will I ever have that kind of opportunity?"
"What exactly is their relationship? Judging from Bai Xiaohua's reaction, it seems like they knew each other before. Something's not right, something's really not right!"
"I was still thinking about how to start a conversation when they already offered me caramel cookies. Sure enough, I'm not the one who gets to do this."
