The morning after the wedding.
Lin Xiao ran ten kilometers back, took a shower, and came out drying his wet hair.
Meng Fanxue came out of the bedroom in a wheelchair.
The couple had consummated their marriage for the first time last night. Meng Fanxue's mind was filled with the intimate scenes and feelings of the night before. Now, seeing her new husband, especially with his bathrobe slightly open, revealing his firm and elastic chest muscles, she blushed and was somewhat afraid to look at him, subconsciously avoiding his gaze.
Lin Xiao smiled gently, "Good morning, baby."
Meng Fanxue's face flushed. Last night, when he was in the mood, he called her "baby," and she felt so happy that she felt like she was flying on a cloud. Now that they were dressed and facing each other, hearing him call her "baby" still made her heart flutter.
She felt incredibly sweet inside and shyly hummed in agreement, "Good morning, husband."
Seeing his new wife so obedient and gentle, Lin Xiao recalled how she had been moaning and whimpering beneath him last night, and his heart stirred with desire.
"Baby, didn't you walk again? Why are you in a wheelchair again?" Lin Xiao walked over, lifted his wife's chin, and gave her a peck kiss.
Meng Fanxue blushed even more and said coquettishly, "Last night you insisted on putting my legs on your shoulders, which pressed on my spine. I found my legs were sore when I woke up this morning."
Lin Xiao chuckled, pulled her up, and carried her on his back. He carried his little wife like that, and the two of them walked step by step to the bathroom.
Lin Xiao pulled his wife close, letting her lean against him, and said softly, "Baby, can you still stand?"
As he spoke, he had already squeezed toothpaste onto both of their electric toothbrushes.
Meng Fanxue nodded, a smile curving her lips: "I'm fine, I can stand up."
The two brushed their teeth together in front of the mirror.
Looking at the two people in the mirror, Meng Fanxue's eyes were filled with a smile that seemed to be brimming with stars, and she intentionally imitated Lin Xiao's rhythm.
Swipe left, swipe right, swipe forward, swipe up, swipe down...
She tried her best to suppress her laughter.
Lin Xiao chuckled at her joke, his mouth full of toothpaste foam splashing onto the wash mirror and even landing on Meng Fanxue's face.
"I'm sorry, baby, I didn't mean to." Lin Xiao smiled and wiped it off for her.
Meng Fanxue smiled and said, "I know, I'm not blaming you, husband."
Lin Xiao was about to kiss his wife when she raised her hand to stop him, saying, "Rinse your mouth first!"
Lin Xiao, however, put his arm around his wife's slender waist, gave her a quick kiss on the lips, and grinned smugly.
Meng Fanxue rinsed her mouth clean, and after her husband finished rinsing, she wrapped her arms around his neck, raised her delicate face, leaned in, and kissed her newlywed husband.
Lin Xiao tightened his grip around her waist, and the two shared a kiss amidst the refreshing scent of mint.
One year after marriage.
evening.
Lin Xiao took his wife's hand and went for a walk.
The increasingly round and chubby Tangtang ran ahead of them.
Meng Fanxue wore a long, ginkgo-yellow dress. The autumn breeze carried the fragrance of osmanthus blossoms, making even the air sweet.
The two walked to a camphor tree that was so thick it would take two people to hug it. Lin Xiao put his arm around his wife's thin shoulder, and the two quietly admired the sunset in the distance.
"Baby, is our daughter still moving around in your belly?" Lin Xiao kissed the top of his wife's head and asked softly.
Meng Fanxue hugged her husband tightly and said softly with a smile, "She was very well-behaved today and didn't make a fuss at all."
"Baby, you've worked so hard." Lin Xiao said earnestly, placing his hand on his wife's slightly protruding belly.
"I'm not tired, honey." Meng Fanxue kissed her husband's handsome face, her face full of gentle smiles. "Just thinking about having a child with my husband makes me so happy."
Lin Xiao's heart melted completely. He lowered his head and kissed his wife, giving her a deep kiss in return.
Tangtang turned her head and saw this scene, her wet dog eyes wide with disbelief.
Tangtang wagged its tail: What's going on? It really wants to find a male dog to date.
It was an ordinary afternoon ten years after our marriage.
Meng Fanxue and Lin Xiao had an argument over a trivial matter.
Meng Fanxue blurted out without thinking, "You just don't love me anymore! If you loved me, you wouldn't say that to me!"
Lin Xiao was speechless, then angrily slammed the door and left.
Meng Fanxue felt so wronged that tears welled up in her eyes, thinking to herself: My husband wouldn't really abandon me, would he?
As her emotions gradually calmed down, she realized that she had spoken too harshly and felt somewhat regretful. She picked up her phone, opened her husband's chat interface, and typed a sincere apology.
[Honey, I was wrong. Please don't be angry with me anymore, okay? Please don't leave me. I promise I won't throw tantrums again, okay? Honey, where did you go?]
Before it could be sent out, the door opened.
Lin Xiao returned carrying a box of small cakes and a cinnabar bowl with rose petals.
When Meng Fanxue saw him holding her favorite cake and flowers, she was so moved that tears streamed down her face. She threw herself into her husband's arms with a sob and cried, "Honey, you're finally back. I missed you so much."
Lin Xiao's heart softened, and he said gently, "I was thinking of you too, so I bought you your favorite Black Forest cake."
Meng Fanxue kissed Lin Xiao several times, her eyes welling up with tears: "Husband, you're so good to me. I love you."
Lin Xiao put down the cake and flowers, picked up his wife, and kissed her fiercely.
Perhaps because they had just had a fight and their relationship had been shaken, Lin Xiao kissed her particularly fiercely, with a hint of anger in his voice.
Knowing she was in the wrong, and overjoyed at having her husband back, Meng Fanxue felt even more fond of him. She went along with him and responded to him passionately. The two kissed deeply, intensely and tenderly.
"Not here, the gardener will see us," Meng Fanxue said, somewhat reluctantly, as she looked at the French windows.
After all, it was still daytime.
Lin Xiao kissed his wife's earlobe, pressed a switch, and the curtains slowly closed.
"You can't see it now, baby." Lin Xiao's low, husky voice rang in his wife's ear.
Meng Fanxue bit her lip and did not object further.
Her hands rested on the dark blue curtains, and through the gaps, she could see the gardener weeding outside, and Zhao Ma talking to him.
She bit her lip, afraid to make a sound.
"Say it to me, baby," Lin Xiao commanded.
Meng Fanxue then relaxed her jaw, letting the uncontrollable moans escape from her nose.
That evening, Zhao's mother made cordyceps and black chicken soup for the two of them.
Meng Fanxue always felt that Zhao Ma knew something, and whispered to her husband.
"Honey, do you think Aunt Zhao knows about what we did this afternoon?"
Lin Xiao took a sip of the fragrant chicken soup and chuckled, "So what if you know? We're legally together. We've already had two kids."
Speaking of children, Meng Fanxue sighed, "I can't believe we've been married for ten years and our child is already so big. I still feel like the events of our wedding day are still so vivid in my mind, as clear as if they happened yesterday."
Lin Xiao kissed his wife's lips and smiled, "It's okay, baby. The child will grow up, and we'll never be apart."
"Yes!" Meng Fanxue nodded vigorously, "Let's grow old together!"
