Chapter 136 You've Got It Big

Chapter 136 You've Got It Big

Chen Qing drank the wine handed to her by the waiter and passed out. When she regained consciousness, she found herself lying on an unfamiliar bed. There was a figure swaying beside the bed. She observed for a while and guessed that it must be a servant.

"Whose are you?" She felt dizzy and huddled in the corner.

The servant froze, didn't reply, and continued to clean the room. His mechanical movements seemed particularly strange.

Chen Qing lifted the quilt to check. She had changed into black silk pajamas with a bold style that couldn't even cover her legs. She felt cold all over. Even though she hadn't seen the owner, judging by this habit, he was not a decent person.

The room was filled with the strong smell of incense, which made it difficult for her to breathe.

Chen Qing coughed a few times, and soon the door opened. The light from the corridor poured in, irritating his eyeballs and causing them to swell.

She tried her best to see who was coming, muttering to herself, "I'm with Mr. Yan tonight. We can discuss whatever you want, but if you lose your sense of proportion, I'm afraid it will end badly."

The people outside the door chuckled.

Chen Qing breathed a sigh of relief. It was a woman.

"Miss Chen, don't be so nervous." The woman turned on the main light in the room and signaled the servant to help her out of bed. "Now that you're here, just treat it as your own home. We don't intend to do anything to you."

Chen Qing stepped barefoot on the carpet, broke free from the servant's hand, and refused to move. "Who are you?"

"My husband's last name is Huang."

She suddenly realized, "Mrs. Huang."

Mrs. Huang raised her red lips slightly, "Old Huang offended Miss Chen before, so I specially invited you to stay at home for a few days as an apology."

"Apologize?" Chen Qing covered his chest with one hand and put the other hand behind his back, touching the candlestick on the bedside table.

Her scalp was about to explode, and stars flashed before her eyes. "Do I need to use drugs to apologize?"

"In order to make the journey smoother, I had no choice but to resort to this desperate measure. Miss Chen, please don't misunderstand me."

"You brought me here right under Mr. Yan's nose, and you still expect everything to go smoothly?"

Mrs. Huang blew air onto her pointed fingernails and raised her eyes calmly. "Mr. Yan has to show some appreciation for the deal he's making with us. Now that things have come to this, is he really going to give up for you?"

Chen Qing was confused. She didn't know what Yan Baiqing and Mrs. Huang were talking about. She just thought it was about resolving the rumor crisis surrounding Jiang Jingyan. Even if Yan Baiqing was willing to give up halfway, she would not do that.

So, she let go of the candlestick and let her hands drop. "You tied me up here. How long do you plan to keep me?"

"Kidnap?" Mrs. Huang glared exaggeratedly, "Miss Chen, don't scare me, this is against the law!"

Chen Qing bit his lower lip tightly and ignored him.

Mrs. Huang had had enough of the drama and laughed loudly and ordered, "Please ask Miss Chen to come down for tea."

Two servants, one on each side, forcibly carried Chen Qing downstairs.

Passing by the window in the corridor, she turned her head. It was pitch black outside, covering the entire house with darkness. No matter where she looked, there was no light.

Deserted and uninhabited.

A place where no one can answer your calls.

Chen Qing clenched his trembling hands, hoping that Yan Baiqing would come quickly.

The basement floor of the villa was filled with smoke and foul smell. Besides Boss Huang, there were a few scantily clad women, posing and making coquettish gestures. They sat everywhere except on the chairs.

Chen Qing stood at the stairs, feeling extremely frightened.

Boss Huang held the blonde woman on his hips. His face suddenly turned red, and his bald scalp also turned purple. The muscles on his face twitched and he screamed strangely for a full half minute.

There was a sudden nauseating smell in the air.

Chen Qing covered his nose and turned sideways, catching a glimpse of Mrs. Huang's expression, which was surprisingly calm.

The blonde woman cleaned herself up, carrying her clothes to take a shower, and smiled coquettishly as she passed by the stairs, "Madam, newcomer? She's quite pure."

Mrs. Huang also laughed, "Go away, I'm not like you, Old Huang——"

Boss Huang slumped in his chair, looked over breathlessly, and waved his hand.

The women surrounding him dispersed in an instant.

Chen Qing didn't want to get close to him and used the stairs to cover her thighs. Mrs. Huang didn't force him and walked over to Mr. Huang. "You just came back and you're making trouble. You scared Miss Chen."

"I escaped death!" Boss Huang fastened his belt hastily and hugged her. "I've never felt so energetic before. It feels great!"

The servants cleaned up the mess on the floor and opened the windows for ventilation.

Mrs. Huang lit a cigar and handed it to Mr. Huang. "Miss Chen asked how many days we should stay."

"It all depends on when Yan Baiqing lets me have a taste of success."

Chen Qingxin was startled.

Boss Huang looked at her with an undisguised gaze, "Don't be afraid, Miss Chen. I may have offended you before, but things have changed. You are a guest of the Huang family and should be treated as such. Anyone who dares to neglect me will be thrown to the dogs!"

She feigned composure and boasted, "There's a performance coming up in the city soon. The Huang family can't afford my absence."

"Don't worry about that." Boss Huang smiled, his belly twitching. "Someone will take care of it."

Chen Qing was silent.

She understood the meaning and knew that the person who was responsible must be Yan Baiqing.

It seems that the deal was not discussed at the wedding dinner and Mrs. Huang was not interested.

Chen Qing was determined to help Jiang Jingyan escape public opinion, and at this moment, he didn't care about anything else. After a moment's hesitation, he boldly tried to probe, "Boss Huang, if you want anything, you can just tell me directly. I will talk to Mr. Yan and get twice the result with half the effort."

"It's better for Miss Chen not to know what I want."

She patiently chuckled, "Indeed, as long as you are willing to hand over the information about the lost donations to Qingyoufuyuan, anything you ask for is not too much."

This was the inside story Yan Baiqing had shared with her. While most of the leaders of Qingyoufuyuan were implicated, the different "sponsors" involved in the orphanage training program made it difficult to pinpoint the cause. Furthermore, the charitable accounts were so impeccable that the police only investigated those who were on the surface, leaving those who were undercover as difficult to apprehend. There was no evidence to prove any illicit flows of funds for Boss Huang and his group. Yan Baiqing explained that Boss Huang had information. If Jiang Jingyan submitted it to the city, whether or not it would be meritorious service was another matter, but at least the merits would offset the demerits, and no one would doubt his innocence.

This was her only purpose tonight.

A man dressed in fancy clothes suddenly ran up the stairs, "Boss Huang! Someone's coming!"

Boss Huang expected this and sneered, "Let the brothers get ready."

"Okay!"

He rubbed Mrs. Huang's waist and said, "Treat Miss Chen well."

Mrs. Huang stood up and took Chen Qing to the tea room.

The person in the yard was none other than Yan Baiqing.

He leaned against the hood to light a cigarette. The mountain wind made the flame sway, leaping onto his face, sometimes bright and sometimes dim, and shooting into his deep eyes.

A light came on in the villa, shining on the man.

He narrowed his eyes slightly, and heard rustling sounds in his ears, which gradually formed an encirclement.

Once you adapt to the light, you can see everything around you.

Yan Baiqing looked around slowly. There were more than twenty people in total, including the ambushes, at least fifty people.

Boss Huang is acting like this, he has no intention of fair trade.

He brushed off the ash from his cigarette, his tone indescribably sinister, "Mr. Huang, you've gone too far."
