Chen Qing moved his butt away and said nothing.
Jiang Jingyan didn't want to tease her. He held her long hair behind her head with his hands and lifted it up. "What kind of weather is this? Wearing a skirt?"
She said seriously, "Sweater dress, it has thickness."
"Even a goose down skirt won't do." The man frowned and loosened his hand, letting his cascading black hair cover her exposed neck and butterfly bones. "Did he burn your legs?"
"No, I was carrying a cup of hot water, but I didn't hold it steady and burned myself."
"Bring him some hot water. Who treated your wound?"
Chen Qing paused. Jiang Jingyan was too cunning. He always asked the key questions. He was already resentful and knew too many details about their relationship, which made it easy for him to lose control of his anger.

Chen Qing looked at him and followed the servant around the corner. Yan Baiqing was standing in the corridor with his hands behind his back.
Hearing the footsteps behind her fading away, she barely managed to resist the urge to look back.
"The teacher has asked someone to prepare dinner." Yan Baiqing smiled gently, "Are you hungry?"
"Didn't you just finish a social event?" Chen Qing's steps were stiff, and he stopped two steps away from him.
Then, the servant at the door called out, "Mr. Jiang, you're not staying?"
"I have official business." The man spoke briefly and gave the servant some instructions, but Chen Qing didn't hear anything clearly.
Yan Baiqing saw her nervous and lonely expression. He looked over and asked, "How does it feel to meet Jingyan?"
"Just like that..."
Yan Baiqing looked at her again, his eyes intriguing, "Qing'er, do you know what the significance of accompanying me to the meeting today is?"
