Jiang Yanmu, who rarely updates her blog, surprised everyone with this sudden update. Because of her foot injury, Jiang Yanmu had barely left the house for a week, with other people coming over to visit. Fu Yanjin came to see Jiang Yanmu the next day. Upon entering, the two hugged and played around for a while before noticing Jiang Yanmu's injured foot. He quickly pressed her down onto the sofa and asked with a stern face, "Did you hurt yourself while shopping yesterday?"

"It's okay, it'll be fine in a few days." Fu Yanjin tapped Jiang Yanmu's head and sighed helplessly, "Sigh, you're always like this. You never said anything before, and you're still like this now. I think only your future partner can keep you in check."

Jiang Yanmu clasped her hands together and pleaded, "I was wrong, Ayan."

"But you just won't change," he slapped Jiang Yanmu's hand away. Jiang Yanmu stuck out her tongue and chuckled.

Fu Yanjin brought a plate of fruit from the kitchen to Jiang Yanmu. "Here, I won't be going back today."

"Okay~" Jiang Yanmu fed Fu Yanjin a grape. She got up to go update her writing, but before she could even stand up, Fu Yanjin called out to her, "What are you doing?"

"It's time to update the story; I haven't updated it yet today."

"If you need to use a laptop, just let me know and I'll get it for you," Fu Yanjin said as she went to get it.

"It's much better now, it doesn't hurt as much, and it's only a short walk to get there, no need to..."

"No, I just want to give it to you, okay?" Fu Yanjin handed the computer to Jiang Yanmu and said, crossing her arms.

"Okay, okay. You can have it, you can have it." Fu Yanjin leaned closer to watch Jiang Yanmu type. "Jiang Xiaoyan, when is the book going to be published?" Jiang Yanmu replied while typing, "That depends on whether someone contacts me. If someone does, it'll be published." Fu Yanjin smiled and pinched Jiang Yanmu's cheek. "Jiang Xiaoyan, you're so cute. You answer questions so seriously, like a child."

"Mmm, Ayan~"

"Hahahaha!" That night, the two played with pillows in bed, hitting each other. Tired, they collapsed onto the bed. Fu Yanjin sat up and, taking advantage of Jiang Yanmu's inattention, rolled her up like a sushi roll with the blanket. "Ayan, quickly untie me."

"Wait, wait a minute, I'll untie it for you." Fu Yanjin took out her phone and snapped a bunch of pictures of Jiang Yanmu's sushi. She then posted it on her WeChat Moments: "Jiang Xiaoyan's sushi, only for tonight! You deserve it! Miss Fu said it was delicious! (Likes from a kitten.jpg)" After posting, Fu Yanjin laughed for a while before remembering that Jiang Yanmu was still rolled up. Laughing, she helped push Jiang Yanmu aside and pulled out the meat. "Stop laughing, Yanjin~"

"Okay, okay, I won't laugh anymore."

After playing around, the two ordered takeout. The table was full of pizza, fried chicken, milk tea, and cake. Jiang Yanmu and Fu Yanjin simultaneously took a bite of fried chicken and a sip of milk tea, exclaiming in unison, "Mmm~ Delicious!"

"It tastes even better when eaten at night!"

"Yes, yes," Jiang Yanmu nodded repeatedly. They chatted until late into the night before finally going to sleep. Ye's mother specially made pig's trotter soup for Jiang Yanmu and kept instructing Ye Ziyi, "Xiao Yi, this is what I made for Xiao Yan. Remember to take it to her tonight, okay?"

Ye Ziyi took the pig's trotter soup and smiled helplessly, saying, "I know, you've repeated this at least twenty times. Anyone who didn't know better would think that Jiang is your daughter."

"I hope it really is." Ye Ziyi remained silent for a moment before leaving. He carried cat toys and cat food to her door. When she opened the door, she saw Ye Ziyi. This was his first time visiting her home. Jiang Yanmu was surprised and happy, her joy involuntarily showing on her face. She was also a little nervous. "You...why are you here?" Ye Ziyi held up the pig's trotter soup in front of her and said gently to Jiang Yanmu, "I brought you some soup. Since I left last time, Ms. Yan has been saying at home that she didn't bring you to eat, so I brought her soup."

"Auntie, could you please make me some soup? Would you like some?"

"No, this is from Ms. Yan."

"I can't finish it all by myself, so please help me with some." Jiang Yanmu tilted her head and looked at Ye Ziyi with the bowl in her hand, like a kitten looking at something it liked, pleading with him. Ye Ziyi couldn't resist Jiang Yanmu's coquettish manner.

She took a sip of soup and said aggrievedly, "Usually, Ms. Yan is unwilling to get up early to make soup for me, so only now can I get a sip of Jiang's soup."

"Then drink more," Jiang Yanmu wanted to serve Ye Ziyi another bowl, but he stopped her. "I was just kidding, Jiang." Ye Ziyi smiled and patted Jiang Yanmu's head, saying, "Don't just stare at me, Jiang, you drink too."

"Okay," Jiang Yanmu said, holding the bowl and taking a sip of soup. "Delicious!" Ye Ziyi said as he poured rice for Xiao Chu, "You should eat more too, Xiao Chu."

"Meow (You said it!)" The entryway door opened, and Fu Yanjin came to treat Jiang Yanmu with more treats. Carrying two bags of snacks, she showed off her haul to Jiang Yanmu, "Jiang Xiaoyan, look what I brought... delicious food!"

"Little Ye, you've come to see Jiang Xiaoyan too?" Ye Ziyi nodded and said, "Yeah." Fu Yanjin walked closer and smelled the aroma of the pig's trotter soup. "It smells so good, Jiang Xiaoyan!"

"I know you want to eat it too."

"Hehe, Jiang Xiaoyan really understands me~" Fu Yanjin rubbed his hands together like flies, waiting to drink his soup. "Delicious! Another bowl, please!"

"Okay~" Before leaving, Ye Ziyi stood at the door and asked Jiang Yanmu on the sofa, "Do you need me to come and change your dressing tomorrow?"

Jiang Yanmu unconsciously clasped her hands together and replied softly, "No, thank you."

In the days following the "okay," Ye Ziyi would bring Jiang Yanmu various nourishing foods prepared by his mother. Today, on her way back from taking out the trash, Jiang Yanmu heard footsteps behind her. Pretending not to notice anything, she tried to walk calmly. Unexpectedly, the person behind her quickened their pace. Jiang Yanmu began to panic, because she had nothing with her and was all alone on the road; she now had no choice but to run.

But how could a girl outrun a boy? She hadn't run more than a few steps before her wrist was grabbed. "What are you doing! Let go! Help!" Jiang Yanmu struggled and cried for help incessantly. As long as there was a chance to call for help, she was sure to succeed.

Jiang Yanmu, suppressing her fear and forcing herself to speak, shouted angrily, "My friend is coming soon! If you don't let go, I'll call the police!" The stalker simply shook his head. "He won't come. I've been staking out here for days. Your friend won't come at this hour." As he spoke, the stalker squeezed Jiang Yanmu's wrist even tighter. Jiang Yanmu winced in pain. "No, brother. Why aren't you sleeping at home at night? Why are you out stalking people?" Jiang Yanmu was now frantically spouting nonsense.

The stalker suddenly became excited. "Because I'm your fan! I've liked you since the first day you posted that, and you even replied to me!" Saying this, the stalker reached for their phone to show Jiang Yanmu, but then realized that if they let go, the person would run away. "We'll go to your house, you can see," the stalker said, grabbing Jiang Yanmu and pulling her towards her home. "No! Please, let me go!" Jiang Yanmu's words enraged the stalker. The stalker angrily retorted, "Damn it, if you didn't want to take me inside, why did you reply to my messages? Are you playing me for fun?"

“Stalkers are not fans, and there should be a certain distance between readers and authors,” Jiang Yanmu screamed in struggle.

"Nonsense! The two men you wrote about together is disgusting, ugh! Who would want to read it but me? Now you're coming out here talking about distance, disgusting. If you don't want to read it, why are you here?" He pulled out a folding knife and held it to Jiang Yanmu's neck. "What, scared? Don't worry, I won't hurt you."

Because of an extra surgery, Ye Ziyi sent Jiang Yanmu a message before going into operation. But now, after finishing surgery, he still hadn't received a reply. A little worried, he grabbed his phone and ran to the garage. He kept calling Jiang Yanmu along the way, but she didn't answer. When he arrived, Ye Ziyi's palms were sweating. Seeing two figures in the distance, he recognized Jiang Yanmu and ran towards them. As he approached, he heard Jiang Yanmu pleading, "I... calm down, let's talk this out."

"How can I stay calm? Tell me, how can I stay calm?" The knife moved closer, slashing Jiang Yanmu again. "Ouch, that hurts," she thought to herself. Ye Ziyi had called the police the moment he saw Jiang Yanmu. He ran over and punched the stalker. He pulled Jiang Yanmu behind him to hide.

The folding knife in his hand was knocked to the ground. Ye Ziyi kicked it away, and just then, the police arrived and restrained the stalker. Even as they were being taken away, they kept repeating, "It's disgusting, disgusting!"

She broke down, hugging Ye Ziyi and sobbing uncontrollably. "I was so scared, so very scared."

"I'm here, it's alright now." Ye Ziyi patted Jiang Yanmu's back to comfort her.

"Um... thank goodness you were here, otherwise... otherwise, I don't know, I don't know what to do, Ye..." Jiang Yanmu cried harder and harder, soaking half of Ye Ziyi's shoulder. Finally, she cried herself unconscious. Ye Ziyi carried her back, treated the wound on Jiang Yanmu's neck, and then briefly left to get some soup from the car. Not long after Ye Ziyi left, Jiang Yanmu woke up. Finding herself alone, she was still a little scared, curled up in the blanket, trembling, and didn't get out.

The door opened, and Jiang Yanmu was so startled that she fell off the sofa. With a thud, Ye Ziyi quickly put down his soup and rushed over. "What happened?" he asked, reaching to pull the blanket off Jiang Yanmu, but she grabbed his arm and didn't speak. "Why are you suffocating yourself? Aren't you suffocating, Jiang?" Triggering a key phrase, Jiang Yanmu slowly poked her head out from under the blanket and whispered, "Ye Ziyi." Tears welled in her eyes.

"Touch its fur, it won't scare you."

"Hmm," Jiang Yanmu replied to Ye Ziyi in a daze.

Can I take a look at the injury on your foot?

"Um"

"It's starting to scab over, remember not to pick at it."

"Um"

"Would you like some soup? Today's soup is corn and pork rib soup."

"Hmm," Ye Ziyi looked at Jiang Yanmu, who was just stirring the soup with her head down, thinking that she didn't like to drink it. "Don't you like corn and pork rib soup? Then I'll make you something else to eat."

“I don’t dislike it,” Jiang Yanmu said, grabbing Ye Ziyi’s sleeve. “Can we not leave today? I… I’m scared.” She instinctively clenched her sleeve, waiting for Ye Ziyi’s answer.

"I'm not leaving."

"Thank you," Jiang Yanmu said with a smile, but tears welled up in her eyes. She turned her head away and secretly wiped away her tears. "Auntie's soup is still so delicious."

"Then drink more," he said, patting Jiang Yanmu's head.

"Um"

"Call me if you need anything."

"Okay," Jiang Yanmu said, falling asleep on the sofa. Ye Ziyi sat beside her, replying to messages from the hospital. Jiang Yanmu quietly opened one eye, the light from the bedside lamp illuminating his face. "Still so dazzling."
