Orange flavor

Orange flavor

As the Spring Festival approached, red envelopes started being sent non-stop in the group chat. It was the first time I'd ever felt so tired from flipping through and grabbing red envelopes; it took me ages to finish. Jiang Yanmu couldn't help but complain, "Aren't you guys tired of sending them?" Hearing this, she replied, "Not tired at all, it's quite fun. *spinning around.jpg*" Speechless at her response, she immediately left the group chat.

I scrolled through Douyin for a while and then fell asleep. I dreamt that I sent a message to Ye Ziyi saying, "No need to film a video anymore," and he replied with an "Mm." But then suddenly, there was a twist: I logged into the game Sky: Children of the Light and said to him, "Let's film a video, just this one." When I saw this conversation outside the dream, I was baffled by my dream self. I clearly said I didn't want to film anymore, but then I logged in and filmed.

Muttering about her dream self, she returned to reality. She covered her eyes with her hand, recalling the dream, and still felt like laughing. It wasn't until several messages popped up on her phone that her thoughts were pulled back. She got up and checked her phone, knowing without a doubt that the group chat was flooded with messages again. Jiang Yanmu saw Wen Yan's few complaints: "Wait! What does this mean? Where is everyone? Am I the only one left to talk to?" Wen Yan muttered to herself for a long time.

"Busy," Ye Ziyi replied briefly to Wen Yan, to avoid him complaining and spewing his words. But Shen Kuo wasn't about to let the opportunity to mock Wen Yan slip by. "The literal meaning, what else could it mean? Who wants to deal with an annoying person? You can talk a lot by yourself, why do you need someone to keep you company?" He added a [speechless, eye-rolling, and trash-can-throwing emoji] to Wen Yan.

Shen Kuo's arrival caused the two of them to bombard the group chat. If it weren't for the internet connection, everyone would have already slapped them both. In the end, everyone just let them argue, choosing to remain silent and not bother with fools. It was New Year's Day, and fireworks were going off outside. Jiang Yanmu and her family were gathered around, eating their New Year's Eve dinner while watching the Spring Festival Gala.

Jiang's mother picked up a piece of ribbonfish, which Jiang Yanmu loved, and put it in her bowl: "Xiaoyan, today's ribbonfish doesn't have a fishy smell, it's especially delicious, you should try it." Jiang Yanmu took a bite of the ribbonfish, and Jiang's mother waited expectantly for her evaluation: "How is it? Is it delicious?"

Jiang Yanmu nodded repeatedly and said, "Delicious!"

"If it's delicious, then eat more." Jiang's mother put a few more chopsticks on Jiang Yanmu's plate. Jiang's mother glanced at Jiang Nan, who was only eating those few dishes, and said, "Xiao Nan, don't just eat those few dishes, eat some other things too."

"Okay, Ms. Gu Hui," Jiang Nan replied and ate a few bites of the other dishes.

Everyone picked up their orange juice, raised their glasses together, and said, "Happy New Year!" The moment they clinked glasses, it was midnight, and the new year had begun.

After dinner, they set off fireworks together in an open space. Jiang Yanmu watched as her father and Jiang Nan lit the fireworks. As the fireworks went off, the debris seemed to hit Jiang Yanmu with force, which is why she always stays far away when fireworks are set off every year.

Everything was over. After washing up, she lay down on the bed. A barrage of New Year's greetings flooded in. Fu Yanjin: [Happy New Year, Jiang Xiaoyan] Attached was a red envelope featuring her idol Jiang Yin and a message: "Wishing you success in winning him over soon!"

Ye Ziyi: [Happy New Year, Jiang] The ordinary red envelope cover was accompanied by a blessing that I will remember for a lifetime: "I hope you will always be happy, Jiang." Fu Yanjin and Ye Ziyi first sent their blessings and red envelopes separately, and then sent their blessings and red envelopes again in the group chat. They had two copies at the same time, but no one knew except Jiang Yanmu herself.

[Happy New Year, Xiaoyan] Jiang's mother sent a New Year's red envelope. Inside was a string of blessings: "Wishing our Xiaoyan a smooth and happy New Year."

Jiang Yanmu replied to each of the New Year's greetings. 【Happy New Year, Ye! (Spinning around sending flowers.jpg)】

Happy New Year! Thank you, Ayan. (Sending flowers.jpg)

[Thank you, Mom. Hug and kiss.jpg]

[Happy New Year, everyone!] Upon hearing this, a bunch of emojis flooded the internet. [Handsome guy on the red carpet, hurry up and welcome him!.jpg] [Biting flowers + wall slam - don't be too obsessed with me, I'm just a legend.jpg] [Swaying left and right, getting hyped!.jpg] After hearing this, everyone secretly agreed to kick him out. Everyone said, "That feels good."

"Suddenly I feel that the world is also very beautiful when it's quiet. (Smiling and crying emoji)" Fu Yanjin said.

“Agreed! I really didn’t expect that. No, I never even thought of it that way. To hear something so abstract and out of the ordinary,” Jiang Yanmu said.

"Hahahahaha!" everyone laughed.

Unable to harass anyone in the group, they turned to harass Ye Ziyi after hearing this.

【No, what happened? They kicked me out by accident! Quick, bring me back!】

Hey~ Are you there? Talk to me!

[Ye Ziyi! Reply to me quickly!]

Are you genuinely not seeing it, or are you pretending not to?

[If you don't respond, I'm going to get angry!] Another barrage of bombshells followed.

Ye Ziyi was bombarded with messages after hearing this, and he took a screenshot of what Ye Ziyi said and posted it in the group chat, adding the caption: "They've started harassing me, Cat sighs.jpg"

[I feel sorry for you, why don't you pull him back? (Cat hugging.jpg)]

[Cat hugs back.jpg] Ye Ziyi.

Just then, he was pulled back to reality by what he heard, and saw the two of them hugging. He teased, "Oh, why are you hugging? Is this a new way to welcome someone?"

"You have something to do," Ye Ziyi said, completely ignoring the other person's teasing.

"It's nothing, what could be wrong with me? It's you two who are more worried..." Jiang Yanmu felt inexplicably nervous and scared as she looked at Ye Ziyi's words. "What's wrong with giving a hug to comfort me after being bothered by you? Do you want a hug too?" It seemed that any casual remark from Ye Ziyi could put Jiang Yanmu at ease.

"It's not impossible, after all, you guys hurt my wounded little heart, and I need comforting. *clutches heart.jpg*"

"..." Jiang Yanmu, watching from outside the screen, was successfully amused by the two of them. "Actually, sometimes arguing isn't so bad," Jiang Yanmu thought to herself.

A wave of drowsiness washed over me, and I drifted off to sleep. Hugging my pillow tightly, a smile played on my lips as I dreamt. Tonight's dream was beautiful too; I dreamt I was with the person I loved.

She kept trying to remember what was happening in her dreams, hoping to retain it even after waking up. But often, things didn't go as planned; how could she remember what happened in her dreams after waking up? "I think I dreamed about him again." Although she didn't remember what she dreamed about, she vaguely remembered that it was a very good dream because she was smiling very happily in it.

Jiang Yanmu happily hummed the song, her joy evident even in the sound of her footsteps as she descended the stairs. Her younger brother, who was coming down with her, noticed his sister's radiant expression and asked, puzzled, "What's wrong? Why are you laughing so happily?" Jiang Yanmu tried hard to suppress her laughter and replied, "Nothing~"

"Oh," Jiang Nan said.
