Prince Xin stared intently at Jiang Bai.
Afraid of frightening Song, he first turned back and said a few words to her to comfort her before walking towards Jiang Bai.
He had only taken two steps when Song Shi grabbed his sleeve tightly from behind.
"Mother, Jiang Bai has arrived."
He paused, then turned and whispered to coax Madam Song.
Song stared intently at him without saying a word, appearing quiet and obedient.
He ignored what he said.
Seeing her reaction, Jiang Bai raised an eyebrow.
I took a few steps forward.
"Don't come any closer, you'll scare her."
Prince Xin nervously reached out to stop him, and Jiang Bai stopped in his tracks.
He looked at the Song family.
Just then, perhaps realizing that the Prince Xin's heir wouldn't leave, Madam Song released her grip on his sleeve and looked in Jiang Bai's direction.
Jiang Bai clearly saw her eyes flicker for a moment, and then, as if something had blinded her, she suddenly screamed.
She unconsciously made "ah ah ah" sounds, frantically grabbing at the Crown Prince's hand.
The Crown Prince's expression changed.
"Someone, quickly prepare a calming soup."
He looked nervous, picked up Song Shi, and carried her into the house.
The old woman who was guarding outside the courtyard quickly came in, carrying a bowl of dark, murky medicine.
Calming Soup.
Remembering what Jia Shiyi had said, Jiang Bai raised his hand, then lowered it again.
When the old woman saw Jiang Bai in the courtyard, her eyes flashed with fierceness, but then she relaxed as if she had thought of something.
She ignored Jiang Bai and quickly carried the medicine into the house.
Song's screams grew louder and louder, and it could be seen that the people inside were holding her down and forcing medicine into her.
Jiang Bai stared intently, seemingly lost in thought.
After a long while, the inner room became quiet.
The Crown Prince dismissed the servants.
"Jiang Bai, come in!"
His snow-white clothes were stained with medicinal soup, and his hair was quite disheveled.
Looking at Madam Song, she was lying quietly on the bed, her clothes neatly arranged.
"Who are you?"
Jiang Bai looked at the Crown Prince of Xin.
Judging from both her age and what she knew about Song's life, Song did not have such a grown son, yet he did call Song "mother".
Song treated him differently from others.
When not in sight of her, Song was quiet and seemed no different from an ordinary person, except that she did not speak.
Instead, after exchanging a glance with her, Song Shi went completely mad.
"I?"
The Crown Prince's gaze was complex as he looked at the beautiful young woman before him, his eyes conveying a multitude of emotions.
"I am Jiang Bai."
Jiang Bai was taken aback, his expression suddenly changed, and his eyes became sharp.
Say it again.
“I said, I am Jiang Bai.”
The Crown Prince repeated it, and this time, Jiang Bai was certain he hadn't misheard.
He said he was Jiang Bai.
Jiang Bai.
She took a deep breath and didn't say anything like "it's impossible."
If she could possess Jiang Bai's body and live a second life, it seems plausible that Jiang Bai could possess the body of Prince Xin's heir.
What the hell!
Not everyone is like her, possessed by a dead person, and has a wealth of merit to accumulate.
Even so, she dared not leave this body, lest she be struck by lightning and killed.
"Then tell me, you are Jiang Bai, so how did you end up with the Prince of Xin's heir?"
Jiang Bai didn't want to believe it, after all, the person whose body she had taken over was right in front of her, which made her feel like a cuckoo had taken over her nest.
However, she didn't choose this body.
The Crown Prince gave a wry smile and said, "I woke up four months ago."
He used the word "wake up".
As he recounted the story, Jiang Bai finally understood what had happened.
Originally, Jiang Bai was worried that the annulment of the engagement would damage his reputation and implicate his sister, so he couldn't think straight and hanged himself.
As soon as she was hoisted up, she realized that her younger brother and sister-in-law were still young, and if she died, they would probably not have a good ending either.
So she struggled desperately.
Little did anyone know that she had already been hoisted up, and the more she struggled, the faster she died.
Although Jiang Lu later found her and rescued her, her body had been ravaged beyond recognition, and she was barely clinging to life.
The next day, her grandmother came to their door with a broker and sold the two sisters.
When she woke up, her body was already ruined, and she was taken to a magnificent mansion.
The people there took good care of her health, and slowly, she recovered.
However, they cannot be exposed to wind or go out on ordinary days.
Three months passed in this way, and she finally met the person who bought her.
That man's name is Wang Shaoyang.
He asked her where the keepsake her mother left behind was.
Her mother disappeared after her father died, so she had no idea about any keepsakes and told the truth honestly.
Unexpectedly, Wang Shaoyang used Jiang Lu to threaten her, saying that if she did not reveal the whereabouts of the token, he would make Jiang Lu wish she were dead.
She repeatedly claimed that she truly did not know what token led them to harm Jiang Lu.
She was only eleven years old when she was defiled by a man surnamed Wang and several strong young men.
When she saw her again, she was a gruesome corpse.
At this moment, Wang Shaoyang also captured Jiang Songwen.
At that time, Jiang Songwen was already mentally challenged and couldn't even eat or excrete on his own.
They need someone to take care of them.
He used the same method to threaten her, forcing her to hand over the token.
This time, she dared not say she didn't know, but cooperated with them, asking what the so-called token looked like and what its purpose was.
