Chapter 3 Jiang Bai Deceives Scholar Ji

"ah……"

A scream rang out, and Jiang Lu looked at Ji Yanwen in horror. Ji Yanwen, on the other hand, looked at Wang Shi, who was clutching the back of her head, with an embarrassed expression. He felt a little annoyed that he shouldn't have held back.

On the other hand, Jiang Lu knocked out that fat matchmaker with a single blow.

Wang first saw the unconscious matchmaker, and then saw Jiang Lü.

Although Jiang Lu covered her face with a cloth, Wang Shi recognized her at a glance, as she was her own granddaughter.

Jiang Lu felt a surge of resentment; this Scholar Ji was utterly useless. She quickly raised her carrying pole and struck at Wang Shi.

This blow truly puts filial impiety into practice, startling Ji Yanwen so much that he hurriedly reached out to grab her carrying pole.

It was this obstruction that led Wang to grab Jiang Lü's hair and slap her across the face.

"You've got some nerve, daring to hit even your grandmother!"

"Selling you was definitely the right decision! You heartless bastard, I'll beat you to death!"

"You're not my grandmother, you don't deserve to be."

Jiang Lu struggled and resisted, but she was no match for Wang Shi and was completely beaten on her own.

Ji Yanwen broke out in a cold sweat and nervously gripped the carrying pole in his hands.

It was only because Wang ignored him that he had the chance. He saw Wang grab Jiang Lu's hand and slammed it down hard.

"Click"

"ah……"

A crisp sound rang out along with Wang's scream. Wang withdrew her right hand to cover the wound on her left hand, her face turning pale with pain.

Jiang Lu finally found an opportunity, pushed Wang Shi to the ground, quickly took the household registration document from Wang Shi's arms, and ran away.

"Run!"

The two ran very fast and arrived at their doorstep.

Jiang Lu's hands trembled as she tried to open the door, but it took her a while. Once Ji Yanwen had entered the courtyard, she quickly closed the door and bolted it shut.

After completing this series of movements, it felt as if all my strength had been drained away, my legs were too weak to support me, and my body collapsed to the ground.

"We're doomed, we're doomed, they'll never let us go."

Jiang Lu felt a pang of panic when she thought of the cracking sound she had heard earlier.

"Don't worry, I broke your grandmother's hand. If they want to cause trouble, let them come to me."

Ji Yanwen's hands were still trembling, and his mind was in turmoil.

It's also his fault. If he had knocked Wang unconscious the first time, none of this would have happened, and Jiang Luping would have been beaten for no reason.

Thinking of this, I couldn't help but look at her with guilt.

The face mask had long since fallen off, and Jiang Lu, with half her face swollen, looked at him hesitantly, as if she were thinking of something.

His heart skipped a beat, and he had a bad feeling. Sure enough, Jiang Lu spoke.

"Scholar Ji, why don't you not marry my sister?"

“That old hag has two sons, six grandsons, and several great-grandsons. Once they come looking for us, my sister and I will be finished.”

“I have to leave here with my sister. You should leave too. Anyway, with your face covered, they won’t recognize you.”

Jiang Lu sincerely offered a few words of advice, but thinking of the fierceness of the large family in the old house, she couldn't help but shudder.

None of her grandmother's family members were easy to mess with.

"You go quickly, I need to pack my things and run too."

Thinking of her younger brother who was still in the old house, she bit her lip hard.

He forced himself to get up, ignoring the stunned-looking Scholar Ji, and ran straight into the house to pack his luggage.

Ji Yanwen: !!!

He came to Jiangjia Village originally intending to marry a wife, but when he heard that Wang was going to sell the Jiang sisters, he felt compassion and stepped forward to help untie them. It was also because Jiang Lu agreed to marry Jiang Bai to him that he risked going with her to steal the household registration documents.

Now that the household registration documents have been retrieved, Jiang Lu has turned her back on them.

The more he thought about it, the more uneasy he felt. His eyes kept darting between Jiang Lu's room and Jiang Bai's room.

Just as he was looking at Jiang Bai's room, the door suddenly opened a crack.

A fair hand reached out from the gap, grabbed the lock on the door knocker, and squeezed it hard, turning the sturdy iron door into a lump of scrap metal.

The door opened, and a slender, thin girl stood there, the dark marks on her neck particularly noticeable.

"You, you, you..." Ji Yanwen opened his mouth wide, pointing at Jiang Bai, his lips trembling as he uttered a breathy sound.

"Shh." Jiang Bai held up his index finger to his lips and blew lightly, making a zipper-like motion.

Ji Yanwen quickly raised his hand to cover his mouth, promising that he would keep it a secret, but inwardly he was groaning.

Thinking of Jiang Lu knocking out the matchmaker with a stick, and then thinking of Jiang Bai's fair and tender hands squeezing the Iron General into a lump of iron.

Neither of the two Jiang family girls are human.

Thinking about this, he couldn't help but have second thoughts. Since the marriage was off anyway, he might as well consider himself unlucky and leave before anyone noticed.

He shifted his body, carefully backing away.

My hand was on the door latch, about to open it, but a figure blocked my way.

Ji Yanwen froze, then heard her say, "You must be Scholar Ji."

I need your help with something.

help?

Her sister also asked him for help, but after helping, she dismantled the bridge.

Jiang Bai didn't care whether he agreed or not, and whispered a few words in his ear. Ji Yanwen gave her a deep look.

"Why should I help you?" Thinking of her strength, he felt a little scared and worried that she would retaliate if he didn't help, but he kept a straight face.

He had already helped her for nothing and caused a huge disaster. After helping her, Jiang Lu turned her back on him.

Who knows if it might be the younger sister, Sister Xiao? The two sisters are exactly the same.
