Lin Hai and his brothers carried the three animals offered to the Dragon God onto the altar and lit three tall incense sticks. Lin Hai watched the smoke rising from the altar and suddenly thought that if there really were gods in this world, would he be punished by the gods for disrupting time and space? And now that he came to offer sacrifices to the sky and took the initiative to expose himself to the gods, was it considered surrendering?
"The auspicious time has arrived~~~~"
Amid the hoarse shouts of the ceremonial officer, Lin Hai gradually came to his senses and quickly cleared up his less than pious thoughts. Looking around, he saw that his sworn brothers had retreated to the bottom of the altar under the leadership of Wang Liang, so he quickly came down and stood in front of his sworn brothers.
This was the first time Lin Hai spoke to so many people.
Following the ceremonial officer's call, Lin Hai opened the sacrificial table and, using all his strength, read aloud:
"Man is the master of the gods, and the gods adapt to man; the gods bless man, and man relies on the gods to bless him. Qinghe inherits this land... I humbly pray that the gods and saints will have mercy on my sincerity, and thunder will unleash its might, and wind will return with its blessings... The dragons and gods will be in harmony, wind and rain will be evenly balanced, and no disease or epidemic will invade..."
He then led the way in bowing, and behind him, the sound of countless people kneeling could be heard. Lin Hai had no idea how many people had come today. As the sun pierced through the morning mist, it illuminated most of Jianshan Camp and the countless people surrounding the altar.
Everyone was a little nervous. They had just finished offering sacrifices to the Dragon God of Heaven and Earth, and the sun was shining on them. Everyone believed that this was a good omen.
As the sun continued to move southward, Lin Hai and his brothers erected a huge blank tablet under the altar under the gaze of countless people.
At first, no one understood the meaning of this three-meter-tall blank memorial tablet, until the first person started crying...
First there was the faint sound of crying;
Then from a corner of the crowd came a low sob;
The sobbing sound gradually gathered towards the tablet in front, and gradually, the crying became louder;
At the end, Lin Hai felt that the greatest sorrow in the world was revealed before him. Everyone in the crowd was crying, crying with their most sorrowful emotions.
I don’t know about other places, but in the southwest, everyone who lives to this day is a survivor, and everyone has someone they miss, but people have no choice but to cry and miss them.
Perhaps the sacrifice had attracted the gods, or perhaps the cries of suffering truly moved heaven and earth. As the clouds parted, sunlight bathed the entire Jianshan Camp. A gentle breeze blew across the camp, and Lin Hai and his sworn brothers grabbed handfuls of paper money and scattered them into the sky...
Those who came to watch the ceremony opened their bags. Some brought family tablets, some brought incense and candles, and some brought their loved ones' belongings. They lined up and gradually walked towards the huge, blank tablet. Then they placed their tablets and belongings in front of the blank tablet, knelt down, kowtowed three times respectfully, and then returned to the crowd. They took out the paper money they had brought, grabbed it, and with a sudden wave of their hands, let their paper money merge into the sea of paper money that filled the sky. The entire Jianshan Camp was transformed into a vast expanse of white...
Amidst the swirling paper money, Lin Hai and his sworn brothers slowly recited in an indescribable low voice:
The mountains are vast and boundless, the Jin River is mighty. The flames of war are lingering, only the southwest is in mourning.
At the beginning of Tianmen, the enemy is rampant. I pity my elders who have left their homes.
The fields are full of starving people, the horses are in disorder and the soldiers are in a state of panic.
......
After several years of fierce fighting, the bandits were defeated and surrendered. Swords were forged into plowshares, and Qinghe prospered.
To stop war with force is a merit beyond measure. The righteous path of the world is full of vicissitudes.
May the loyal soul rest in peace, green mountains and fertile soil. The rest of my life will be in solitude, filled with sadness.
The three provinces are on the right path, and the universe is bright. I offer my condolences, and hope you will enjoy them.
