Chapter Seven: Formations

Chapter Seven: Formations

Chapter Seven

Wen Zhuo pricked up his ears to eavesdrop, his fingers unconsciously sliding up, down, left, and right.

Wen Zhaoye glanced at her, then walked a little further away with Xie Huai.

Wen Zhuo: "......" Why is she guarding against her body?

By the time she sneaked over, their conversation had already ended. Wen Zhuo was furious and threw Wen Zhaoye's phone into his arms.

His phone was so boring; he had hardly anyone on WeChat, the chat history was incredibly dull, and his browser history contained things that damaged her reputation, such as:

How to manage a child's rebellious phase?

Is it reasonable for a child this age to still be in a rebellious phase?

Is it normal for children not to cling to their parents?

She was convinced.

Wen Zhaoye walked closer, bent his knuckles and placed them on Wen Zhuo's head. Wen Zhuo covered his head and let out a "yow," looking at Wen Zhaoye expressionlessly.

Wen Zhaoye's expression remained unchanged, but his gaze was gloomy as he stared at her and asked, "Did you figure something out?"

Wen Zhuo didn't speak; she didn't hear anything.

She pointed at her phone with a cold expression and continued to glare at him.

Wen Zhaoye glanced down at her, then looked up at Wen Zhuo and found her perpetually cold expression quite endearing. He took a few steps forward and vigorously ruffled her hair, causing Wen Zhuo to struggle in shock.

How dare you lack martial ethics! You ambushed me.

"What's wrong with my phone? Haven't you had enough?" Wen Zhaoye shoved the phone back into her arms and led the ghost into the study.

Wen Zhuo's head was tucked under Wen Zhaoye's arm, and she struggled to peek out: "Are you out of your mind?"

The face that had finally managed to peek out was pinched by a large hand, with two angry eyes peeking out from between the fingers. Wen Zhaoye's gaze shifted downwards, paused for a moment, and then pinched down, sinking his fingers into her cheek, making her lips pout.

"Let go," Wen Zhuo said vaguely, his face contorted with a frown.

Wen Zhaoye covered her mouth with his palm, and the soft touch from his palm startled him.

Wen Zhuo: "..."

It was intentional, it must have been intentional!

Wen Zhaoye placed the ghost on the sofa opposite his desk, which was decorated in a warm orange-yellow color. Some dolls were piled on the soft blanket, and a computer and some odds and ends were placed in front of the sofa.

As soon as Wen Zhuo sat down, she felt as comfortable as if she were at home.

Oh no, she was already at home.

Sitting at her desk, Wen Zhaoye could see Wen Zhuo's profile. She nestled into the sofa, a fluffy blanket wrapped around her cheeks, and a currently popular drama was playing on her computer.

It's better to stay at home.

Wen Zhaoye looked at her for a while, then took some of Wen Zhuo's favorite snacks and drinks from outside and placed them in front of her.

Wen Zhuo tilted her head, annoyed that he was blocking her view.

Wen Zhaoye: "..."

He turned around, carrying the things.

I was taking advantage of him this morning, but now I don't want to look at him anymore?

"Hey! Don't go."

Wen Zhaoye stopped abruptly. Just as he was about to say something, a few strands of hair floated in the air and twirled the snacks in his hand. After getting the snacks, Wen Zhuo reached out and pushed him, saying, "Okay, you can go now."

Wen Zhaoye: "..."

I can't stand it anymore, maybe I should just throw it out.

******

The cool summer night breeze blew in from the window, ruffling Wen Zhuo's hair. Even next to Wen Zhaoye, she couldn't sleep soundly.

Her inhuman skin appeared even paler beneath her thick, black hair; her eyes were closed, and her brows were furrowed.

The room was dark, with no lights on. A person's shadow was projected by the moonlight around Wen Zhuo. A gentle breeze blew, causing her clothes to sway, and the shadow swayed beside her, clinging tightly to her.

Wen Zhaoye stood two steps away from Wen Zhuo, his feet treading on dark red patterns that seemed to be moving, much like the cracks on Wen Zhuo's body.

His conversation with Xie Huai during the day echoed in his mind.

Xie Huai's expression was serious as he said in a low voice, "Your sister's soul is very fragile right now, as you know. She herself had no obsessions; you forced her to stay here. We don't even know why she stayed outside for seven years. It's quite good that she's back safely now."

Xie Huai looked at the quiet Wen Zhaoye and noticed that his face was unusually pale. He frowned and asked, "How much blood did you feed her?"

Wen Zhaoye said, "A few bites."

"How could your face turn this pale after just a few bites?"

Wen Zhaoye changed the subject: "Will her amnesia affect her health?"

Xie Huai was speechless: "Stop changing the subject. I know you've learned a lot of weird things from my master. What exactly are you planning to do?"

Wen Zhaoye turned his head to look at Wen Zhuo, who was eavesdropping in the distance. He smiled slightly and deliberately took a step away. When he saw Wen Zhuo's obviously angry expression, he turned back.

Xie Huai: "......" Can't you just die?

Why don't you hang it on her?

Wen Zhaoye glanced at him but did not respond to his words: "I am prepared to use my blood." His birth chart is very special, with a strong yang energy and abundant energy. Combined with his essence and some special methods, it should be able to heal Wen Zhuo's injuries.

Xie Huai frowned: "You haven't removed that formation yet?" He looked Wen Zhaoye up and down, his nostrils flaring as he smelled the lingering scent of blood. He asked in surprise, "Have you been using blood to nourish her these past few days?"

Wen Zhaoye shook his head: "She just came back and can't accept too much of my blood. I can only feed her small amounts frequently."

Xie Huai closed his eyes, his gaze complex. This method has three stages. At the beginning, the amount fed is small, which is blood from ordinary places. It is gradually increased, and finally, it is heart blood.

"Do you know what will happen to your body in the end? This isn't how you raise ghosts."

Wen Zhaoye lowered his eyes, all the vitality he had shown around Wen Zhuo vanished: "She will be alright in the end."

"I really can't stand you." Xie Huai said with exasperation, "Why don't you form a bond with her? That would also heal her soul."

Wen Zhaoye quickly refused: "My lifespan is too short, no way."

Xie Huai: "......" No, brother, is your sister's lifespan any better?

Wen Zhaoye was in a bad mood from chatting with him. He glanced at Wen Zhuo, who was clearly impatient, and started to shoo him away: "Do you have something else to say?"

Xie Huai rolled his eyes, but still left with the words, "Remember to call me if you need anything."

Wen Zhaoye was momentarily dazed, pulling his thoughts from his memories. He lowered his head, blood seeping into the red array patterns beneath his feet, and abundant vital energy flowing along the patterns into Wen Zhuo, who was lying in the center of the array.

He approached Wen Zhuo and sat down beside her, feeling a little regretful that he couldn't let her smoke it herself that night.

He then remembered that Wen Zhuo had been trying to lift his clothes these past two days.

He analyzed that Wen Zhuo's excessive intimacy with him these past few days was merely a side effect of the blood, and he shouldn't pay too much attention to it. Moreover, he was Wen Zhuo's brother, and he shouldn't refuse such behavior.

That's right, he is Wen Zhuo's brother. They are the closest people in the world. Wen Zhuo was just curious about his muscles. There's nothing to be surprised about.

Wen Zhaoye had figured things out for himself, so he simply pulled Wen Zhuo into his arms and warmed her with his own body heat.

At midnight, moonlight slipped in through the window and fell on the person and the ghost on the ground.

The tall figure surrounded Wen Zhuo, his arms wrapped around her neck, almost completely trapping her in his embrace. Wen Zhuo felt a little hot, struggled for a while, but found that she couldn't break free and could only stay in place, muttering a few times, "It's so hot."

Wen Zhaoye woke up with a start and found that the blood on her body had congealed. Dense and messy red broken lines, like spider silk, spread from Wen Zhuo's body to her arms, and finally seemed to connect herself together along her arms.

It was as if she had never left, as if in her heart, their blood still came from the same source.

Today Wen Zhuo doesn't need any more blood. He picked Wen Zhuo up. When Wen Zhuo was asleep, her hair was only shoulder-length. She slept soundly, just like her owner. Now she was quietly draped over her shoulders. However, she herself was not very well-behaved. She kept complaining that she was hot and pressed herself against him. Wen Zhaoye hugged her even tighter.

Does his blood also have this side effect?

He looked down at Wen Zhuo's face, which was surprisingly flushed, and stared blankly for a moment. How hot must it be? He touched Wen Zhuo's skin, but it was still cool.

Wen Zhaoye put her on the bed, and the air conditioner blew out cool breezes, which finally calmed her down.

Wen Zhaoye sighed and sat down by her bedside. He had only wanted to check on her, but then worried that she might not sleep well tonight, so he finally lay down next to her.

Wen Zhuo rolled into his open arms, but he didn't move, letting Wen Zhuo settle on him.

He lowered his head and pinched Wen Zhuo's cheek, his gaze lingering on her thin lips again. Her lips were an unhealthy color, a pale pink, looking like seashells on the beach, wet and glistening.

She tilted her head towards his chest, her collarbone deep and her pale skin revealing bluish veins. Her neck and shoulders left an alluring gap. Wen Zhaoye's gaze darkened, and his dark pupils dimmed.

He looked away, wrapped his arms around Wen Zhuo, and hugged her even tighter. His fingers passed through Wen Zhuo's fingertips, loosely interlocking, but his palms pressed tightly together without any gap.
