Chapter 55055 True and False Fu Wen
Du Qingtang's face was grim. He stood up suddenly, grabbed his school bag and walked out.
Fu Wen saw Du Qingtang was in a hurry and quickly called her, "Where are you going?"
Du Qingtang didn't even turn around: "Classroom."
If she stayed here any longer, she would be unable to resist killing this fake.
But before figuring out the situation, it is not advisable to alert the enemy.
He can't die.
At least not now.
Du Qingtang warned himself again and again in his heart, and slammed the door shut, causing the wall to shake three times.
Fu Wen looked at Du Qingtang's cold back, his heart trembled, and he felt inexplicably terrified. He took two breaths before he calmed down.
He glanced at the tattered bed curtains and curled his lips in disdain: "You really think you're a piece of shit."
If he wasn't worried about walking into the wrong classroom and causing unnecessary trouble, he wouldn't bother with that cold guy.
It was like someone owed her a hundred taels of silver. I really don't know how such a person could get into the academy.
I'm afraid he got in through connections?
"Tsk, so ugly." Fu Wen couldn't stand sleeping in a pile of rubbish at night, so he quickly took down the bed curtains, threw them to his feet, and kicked them under the bed.
He walked behind the door and checked the class schedule.
The day before yesterday, he and his parents teamed up to interrogate Fu Ci and got a lot of useful information out of him.
For example, the position in Class A of Tongsheng.
For example, the class schedule behind the door.
For example, students in a college usually call each other classmates.
Fu Ci also gave an example: "The girl who shared a dormitory with me was called Du Qingtang. I used to call her classmate Du."
Fu Wen originally wanted to say hello to Du Qingtang. After all, if nothing unexpected happened, he would be living in the same house with Du Qingtang for the next few years.
Unexpectedly, Du Qingtang's temper was worse than the stone in the toilet. Before he could even say hello, the other party slammed the door and left.
"She's used to it."
Fu Wen was too disdainful to associate with such a poor guy.
Fu Wen took out the relevant books according to the courses recorded in the timetable and walked out of the dormitory leisurely.
Halfway through the journey, I met a few students.
"Greetings, classmate Fu."
"Why isn't classmate Fu with classmate Du?"
Fu Wenxue imitated the other party's posture, bowed formally, and said casually, "Classmate Du, please go ahead."
He looked around the academy curiously and missed the scene where several students were frowning and looking at each other.
Classmate Du?
Didn’t classmate Fu always call classmate Du “Qingtang”?
Looking at the entire academy, only Fu calls Du so affectionately. Countless people envy their deep friendship.
Fu Wen felt a little dizzy upon entering the academy. He coughed calmly and asked, "Are you guys going to class?"
"Exactly."
Fu Wenzheng was worried about going to the wrong classroom, so he was delighted when he heard this: "I'm going to class too, why don't we go together?"
"good!"
Along the way, several students were discussing the homework assigned by the teacher before the quiz.
Fu Wen was completely confused, but didn't dare show it. He just kept saying "hmm" and "ah" the whole time, and his smile was very forced.
It’s all Fu Ci’s fault!
If Fu Ci had not been too overbearing and squeezed his living space too much when he was in his mother's womb, how could he have been born with a deficiency, unable to endure fatigue, unable to study, and even unable to take the imperial examinations?
If he had entered the academy earlier, he would not be so clueless and look like an ugly duckling among a flock of swans.
But it doesn’t matter. From now on, the person who stays in the academy is Fu Wen.
As a woman, Fu Ci is only fit to stay in the nunnery until she dies of old age.
......
The group soon arrived at the Tongsheng class.
Fu Wendong looked around and followed his companions into the classroom.
"Hey! Classmate Fu, what are you doing in Class B?"
Fu Wen's eyes flickered, and he said with a wry smile, "I was just thinking about something and accidentally took the wrong path."
The student who was speaking couldn't help but complain in his heart, why is classmate Fu acting so weird today?
However, due to their month-long friendship, he kindly reminded: "Tongsheng Class A is next door. Classmate Fu, please hurry over there. Class is about to start."
Fu Wen bowed and walked quickly into the classroom next door.
He lingered in the dormitory for a long time. All the students in Class A were there, some reciting aloud, some discussing poetry. There were only two empty seats left, one of which was next to Du Qingtang.
Fu Wen resented Du Qingtang for not giving him face, and sat in another seat without thinking.
The classroom was silent for a moment.
Surprised eyes flocked to Fu Wen from all directions, and then shifted to Du Qingtang.
"They are always inseparable, why are they sitting separately today?"
"Is there a conflict?"
"Then I have a chance, don't I?"
"Taking advantage of an opportunity is not what a gentleman does!"
"So what? Classmate Du is knowledgeable, talented, and of high character. If I could become her bosom friend, I would be willing to get the top spot in the imperial examination!"
This statement caused a burst of boos.
"Shameless."
"Why are you eating and taking at the same time?"
Cao Xingcan listened to the laughter of his classmates in Class A, holding his chin with one hand, looking at Du Qingtang and then at Fu Ci with an unfathomable expression.
Du Qingtang calmly accepted the stares from others and read as if no one was around.
Soon, the teacher came in and started the class.
Du Qingtang was listening to the lecture and taking notes at the same time. He looked calm on the surface, but his mind was actually elsewhere.
How is Fu Ci now?
Locked up?
Or will it be like in the previous life, where he will be abandoned after losing his usefulness and sleep in a coffin underground?
If it is the former, Du Qingtang must find her as soon as possible before the Fu family gets rid of her.
If it's the latter...
Du Qingtang exhaled and closed his eyes.
"Du Qingtang, please explain the meaning of this passage."
Du Qingtang opened his eyes, stood up and answered: "This sentence means..."
"Very good, sit down."
Du Qingtang sat down calmly, putting aside all distractions and listening attentively.
The gong sounded, and the Chinese studies teacher assigned today's lessons and left.
Next is the horse riding and archery class.
Fu Wen had lived in the nunnery all year round and had never learned how to ride or shoot. His hatred for Fu Ci deepened. Coughing, he walked towards the teacher and said, "Teacher, I am not feeling well. Can I ask for leave today?"
The archery instructor saw that his face was pale and bloodless, so he believed it and said, "Okay, go back and rest."
Fu Wen ignored the gazes from those around him, and left the archery field coughing every few steps.
Du Qingtang stood beside the stable, stroking the little white horse's mane, and watched Fu Wen's figure disappear in the archery field with an expressionless face.
"Fu Wen has always been full of energy. He can run and jump. He's stronger than a calf, isn't he?"
Du Qingtang turned her head and saw Cao Xingcan had come to her side at some point, his eyes fixed on the direction where Fu Wen left.
Noticing Du Qingtang's gaze, Cao Xingcan also turned his head and their eyes met.
"Du Qingtang, did you have a conflict with Fu Wen?"
The little white horse snorted, and Du Qingtang raised his hand to appease him: "Why isn't it him who's arguing with me?"
Cao Xingcan sneered, as if he had heard the biggest joke in the world: "Fu Wenduo relies on you. As long as you are by her side, there is no one else in her eyes."
He stared at Du Qingtang's delicate and cold profile, and asked in a playful tone: "Do you think she has a homosexual tendency?"
Du Qingtang: "...No."
Cao Xingcan snorted and stretched lazily: "I don't care about your affairs. The big exam is coming soon. Du Qingtang, don't let it affect you and lose to me."
Du Qingtang led the little white horse and turned away.
......
After the horse riding and archery class, Du Qingtang returned to the dormitory and found that the bed curtain on the left was missing.
Looking again, I found that it had been thrown under the bed.
Fu Wen was lying on the bed with his arms and legs spread out, snoring with his mouth open, smacking his lips from time to time.
Like a pig, he is not even worthy of carrying Fu Ci's shoes.
Du Qingtang looked away, put the things on the desk into the cupboard, locked it, and left the academy without even having lunch.
When I walked into Du Ji Snacks, Du Qingmei was sitting behind the counter collecting money with a book next to her.
The book was a used one I bought cheaply from a peddler, so I didn't mind if it got dirty or torn.
Seeing Du Qingtang coming over, Du Qingmei asked with a smile: "Has Tang'er eaten yet?"
Du Qingtang greeted a few regular customers before replying, "Not yet. I'll go check in the kitchen."
"Go ahead, your seventh and eighth sisters are here." Du Qingmei suddenly thought of something, looked behind the youngest, and exclaimed, "Where's Awen? Why isn't she here?"
Du Qingtang pinched his finger bones and said calmly, "She has something to do. She will come back in a few days."
Du Qingmei recalled that Fu Ci had been ill in July, and a worried look appeared on her face. "But he's sick again?"
Du Qingtang shook his head: "She's fine, but something happened at home. I will bring her back soon."
After Du Qingtang finished speaking, he helped Du Qinglan serve two tables of snacks and went to the kitchen to find food.
Du Qingzhu was busy at the stove, and Du Qingju was preparing ingredients.
Today's business is a bit too good. Most of the ingredients prepared in the morning have been sold out, and the remaining ones may not last until closing time in the evening.
Seeing Du Qingtang coming alone, the two girls also asked, "Where's Awen?"
Du Qingtang used the same rhetoric.
"So it's household chores. Then wait until she's done before coming back." Du Qingzhu pointed to the pot at the back. "Knowing you were coming, Sister Ju made you a bowl of knife-cut noodles. Eat it while it's still hot and not clumping."
Du Qingtang opened the lid of the pot and saw at a glance that the knife-cut noodles were for two people.
Du Qingju's voice came from behind: "I thought Awen would come too, so I did some more."
Du Qingtang grumbled softly, finished his noodles without tasting anything, and washed the bowl. "I don't have any classes this afternoon. The instructor assigned me a few essays, so I'll go back and write them."
Du Qingzhu waved her hand, indicating that she understood: "There are still some braised dishes left at home. If you are hungry, you can just heat them up and eat them."
Du Qingtang responded, but after leaving Du's Snacks, he did not go back to the courtyard directly. Instead, he disguised himself and went to the City God Temple on the outskirts of the city.
Wu Laoqi is gone, but his six younger brothers are still here, eating the stale steamed buns they begged for.
A middle-aged man with dark skin and tall and thin figure appeared outside the City God Temple. The beggars noticed him immediately, their eyes rolling around, wondering if they could squeeze any money out of him.
At this time, one of the beggars asked hesitantly, "Are you Mr. Wang?"
The middle-aged man twirled his beard and asked, "Did Wu Laoqi tell you?"
A while ago, Wu Laoqi got a good job, made a lot of money, and left Qingyuan County to enjoy his life somewhere else. Several beggars were so jealous that they wished they had gotten the good job.
After hearing this, they immediately understood that this unprepossessing man in a coarse shirt was none other than Wu Laoqi's benefactor.
"Master, what are your instructions?"
The middle-aged man said in a deep voice: "Help me find two people."
"Looking for someone? That's easy! I've been in Qingyuan County for over a decade, I know which direction each tree grows!"
"Me too!"
"And me!"
The six people shouted one after another, fearing that someone else would snatch away their good job.
The middle-aged man said, "The six of you come together. Whoever finds it first will get fifty taels, and the others will get ten taels."
"No problem! Master, just wait for our good news!"
-
For the next two days, Du Qingtang stayed alone in the academy, attending classes and eating alone.
When they were in the same room, her cold appearance made it difficult for Fu Wen, who wanted to talk to her, to start.
After hitting a snag twice, Fu Wen simply gave up and abandoned the idea of building a good relationship with Du Qingtang. He drew a line between them in the middle of the dormitory, and each did his own thing, ignoring each other.
As a result, the news that Du Qingtang and Fu Wen broke off their relationship spread like wildfire.
"They are as close as one person, how could they possibly break up?"
"Seeing is believing. I passed by Tongsheng Class A this morning and saw them both sitting separately."
"Tsk tsk, the friendship between young people is like a piece of paper, it can't stand the test and will break with a few drops of water."
"Classmate Du must be very sad. I decided to go and comfort her."
"And then take advantage of the opportunity, right?"
"I'm not talking nonsense without you."
"Oh! Hypocrisy!"
Du Qingtang turned a deaf ear to the whispers of his classmates, walked out of the classroom and left the academy as the gong sounded for the end of class.
Fu Wen yawned and put the books on the desk away.
For Yu Fuwen, the Chinese studies class was extremely boring. He kept dozing off and could hardly keep his eyelids open.
He had to go back to the dormitory and have a good sleep.
Just as he was about to leave, someone called him: "Classmate Fu, what's going on between you and classmate Du?"
Fu Wen was confused: "What's going on?"
The other party looked at him strangely: "Everyone knows that you and classmate Du are like brothers. Now you call her 'classmate Du', and classmate Du never mentions you, classmate Fu. Everyone can see that you are having a conflict..."
It was like a huge stick falling on his head. Fu Wen's head was buzzing, his ears were deaf, and his vision was black.
What does it mean to be as close as brothers?
Doesn’t Fu Ci have a mediocre relationship with his roommate Du Qingtang?
If he doesn’t call Du Qingtang “Classmate Du”, what should he call her?
Fu Wen was flustered and had an inexplicable foreboding premonition. He laughed it off to answer his classmates who were asking him questions, grabbed his schoolbag and was about to leave.
"What's wrong with classmate Fu? Why does he seem like a different person?"
"I also feel that he is very different from before. Could it be that he has been possessed by some foul creature?"
Fu Wen was so frightened that his legs went weak and he almost fell to the ground.
In a flash, he suddenly understood.
Fu Ci did it on purpose!
She clearly had a close relationship with Du Qingtang, but she deliberately told him that their relationship was ordinary, and even asked him to call Du Qingtang "classmate Du"!
Fu Wen couldn't help but recall the morning when he first entered the academy. Du Qingtang had a calm expression at first, but his face suddenly darkened when he saw him.
At that time, Fu Wen thought it was because Du Qingtang and Fu Ci had a bad relationship. Now thinking about it, it was not a bad relationship at all, but a very good relationship, which allowed Du Qingtang to see the flaw at a glance!
Bitch!
Bitch bitch!
Fu Wen cursed Fu Ci in his heart, wishing he could grow a pair of wings and fly back to Fu Village immediately to kill Fu Ci, the scheming bitch!
Fu Wen ran all the way back to the dormitory. He was about to go back to the village, but when he reached the door, he retreated.
He can't leave.
The more times like this happen, the more he cannot lose his composure, otherwise he would be guilty.
Besides, he is the real Fu Wen, and the student registered with the government is also him, Fu Wen, not Fu Ci.
Even if Du Qingtang noticed something and shouted it out everywhere, everyone would just think she was crazy and would not doubt the authenticity of his identity.
Fu Wenti's heart, which had been stuck in his throat, fell back to its original place. He kicked off his shoes and lay down on the bed, humming a little tune leisurely, and fell asleep unknowingly.
Half asleep and half awake, he vaguely felt that there was someone sitting in front of the bed. He struggled to open his sleepy eyes and saw a blue and white figure.
"woke up?"
Fu Wen was startled when a cold voice filled his ears. His sleepiness faded away, and he could see the person beside the bed clearly.
It turned out to be Du Qingtang, who was suspected of discovering the secret of his identity!
Du Qingtang sat with his back to him, holding a boning knife and wiping it slowly and methodically.
The cold light reflected by the boning knife made Fu Wen's heart tremble. He instinctively tried to get up, but found that his hands and feet were tied and he could not move.
Fu Wen: “!!!”
Fu Wen's face changed drastically, his nostrils flared, his breathing became rapid, and he growled fiercely, "Du Qingtang, what do you want to do? Don't forget this is the academy. If I shout, everyone will know... Uh-huh!"
Du Qingtang was annoyed by his noise, so he blocked his mouth with a rag and stabbed Fu Wen in the thigh with a knife.
“Hmm!”
The roar came from the vocal cords and reached the mouth, but was blocked tightly by the rag.
Fu Wen's eyes widened, almost popping out of their sockets, veins popped out on his forehead, and his face and neck turned red.
Du Qingtang sat sideways, turning the boning knife slowly and steadily.
The blade rolled over the flesh, cutting through the muscles and blood vessels inch by inch. Blood splattered and Fu Wen trembled as if he had been electrocuted.
“Woo woo woo!”
The severe pain made Fu Wen's eyes go black. He trembled, whimpered, and roared, but could only make the hoarse sounds of an animal.
"I just wanted to talk to you calmly, but you refused my offer and decided to drink the wine instead. Don't blame me for being rude." Du Qingtang wiped the blood from his cheek calmly. "Be good, okay?"
Perhaps it was the pain, or perhaps it was the fear, but Fu Wen was shaking like a sieve, and he looked at Du Qingtang as if he was looking at an evil ghost.
How could Fu Ci make friends with such a vicious person?
Isn't she afraid of death?
Fu Wen cursed in his heart and nodded rapidly.
Du Qingtang curled her lips, and her smile made Fu Wen tremble.
As soon as he took out the rag and his tongue was free, Fu Wen cried out for help: "Help... Ugh!"
The rag was blocked again, and Du Qingtang pulled out the boning knife and stabbed it into the other leg without blinking.
Fu Wen trembled and twitched, rolling his eyes in pain.
"There's no point in keeping a disobedient dog. Why not just kill it?"
Fu Wen was horrified and looked at Du Qingtang with pleading eyes.
He doesn't want to die!
He hasn't taken the imperial examination yet and hasn't become a high-ranking official yet!
Du Qingtang took out a rag and pulled out a boning knife. Now Fu Wen became obedient, gasping with his mouth wide open, and no longer dared to call for help.
Du Qingtang wiped the boning knife with a handkerchief, concentrating and meticulously: "Where's Fu Ci?"
Fu Wen: "What..."
Du Qingtang turned his wrist and pointed the knife downwards.
Fu Wenhu was shocked and quickly changed his words: "She is in the nunnery ten miles away from Fujia Village."
Du Qingtang: "What are you doing in the nunnery?"
Fu Wen: "My dad said she's grown up and can have children. My mom was injured when she gave birth to us and can't have another child, so my dad plans to have two more. He also plans to sell Fu Ci to the old nuns in the nunnery to provide entertainment for the guests there."
Du Qingtang was unhappy and slapped Fu Wen twice.
Fu Wen's throat was filled with the taste of blood. He was angry and scared, but he didn't dare to say a word.
That was his father's decision, why beat him?
Du Qingtang: "Why let Fu Ci dress up as a man?"
Fu Wen: "Because I was born with a deficiency, I wanted to be an official, so my parents asked Fu Ci to study for me."
Du Qingtang: "Why did you let Fu Ci study for you? Does she owe you anything?"
Perhaps due to excessive blood loss, Fu Wen felt dizzy and his consciousness was not very clear. He spoke without thinking: "Because she caused me to have a deficiency disease, she owes me, and I should do whatever I ask her to do!"
“Bang!”
“Ouch!”
Du Qingtang slapped him: "You said it wrong, say it again."
Fu Wen had lived for fourteen years and had never suffered such injustice. Tears welled up in his eyes: "I was wrong, I deserve to die, Fu Ci owes me nothing, wuwuwuwu..."
Next, the two of them asked and answered each other. Du Qingtang asked the answer he wanted, then stood up and looked down at Fu Wen: "Actually, I already knew where you guys were holding Fu Ci. You've been making me very unhappy these past few days, so I'm going to stab you a few times. Is that okay with you?"
How could Fu Wen dare to object? He was tied up like a dead pig, lying straight on the bed, crying breathlessly, his face covered with tears and snot, and shaking his head desperately, fearing that if he was a little slow, he would be stabbed by this madman again.
Du Qingtang gave Fu Wen simple treatment to stop the bleeding, and dragged him away from Qingyuan Academy overnight and headed to Fujia Village.
When they arrived at the gate of the academy, Du Qingtang asked Liu Agong to open the door.
Grandpa Liu got up and put on his clothes: "What are you doing out here in the middle of the night?"
Du Qingtang held Fu Wen and said, "He's sick. I'll take him to see a doctor."
Fu Wen's eyes rolled around, wondering whether he should ask the old man for help.
Du Qingtang turned sideways and poked the wound on his leg.
Fu Wen's face turned pale, and he groaned with his teeth bared.
Grandpa Liu didn't suspect anything and let him go immediately.
......
The rented carriage had already been prepared. Du Qingtang asked Fu Wen to get into the carriage, put on his hat, shook the reins, and drove away from Qingyuan Academy at a rapid speed.
Halfway through the journey, Du Qingtang pulled out Fu Wen, who was drowsy from excessive blood loss, and kicked him.
Fu Wen was caught off guard by the kick and fell heavily, his wound bursting open. He looked at the carriage that was leaving in a cloud of dust with bloodshot eyes.
Didn’t Du Qingtang say he would take him to the nunnery?
Why did you kick him off halfway?
Fu Wen opened his mouth to shout, but before he could utter a single syllable, two beggars suddenly appeared, covered his mouth and dragged him into the alley. With a sharp knife, they first cut off his tongue and then tore the tendons in his hands and feet.
Fu Wen's eyes rolled back and he fainted from the pain.
The beggar carried him to the donkey cart at the entrance of the alley, placed him together with his unconscious father and mother, whose mouths were covered with blood, covered him with a straw mat, and left in the night.
In just a quarter of an hour, the carriage arrived at the nunnery ten miles away from Fujia Village.
Du Qingtang got off the carriage and walked towards the nunnery quietly.
It was late at night and the moon was bright and the stars were sparse.
It was supposed to be the time when all creatures were asleep, but the nunnery was bustling with activity.
Babbling, humming, crackling, all kinds of noises were heard.
Who would have thought that a nunnery located at the foot of a mountain, where few people go, would be a den of brothel?
Everyone in the nunnery was busy and no one noticed Du Qingtang's sneaking in.
Based on the location provided by the beggar, Du Qingtang quickly found the room where Fu Ci was.
Du Qingtang pulled out a boning knife, chopped open the copper lock in a few strokes, and pushed the door open.
......
When the chopping sound was heard outside the door, Fu Ci was hiding in the quilt and crying.
She didn't dare to sleep, for fear that if she fell asleep, she would give the man she had called dad for fourteen years an opportunity to take advantage of her.
Five days ago, Fu Ci finished the quiz and walked back to Fujia Village.
That night, she was sleeping soundly when Fu's father tied her up and threw her onto a donkey cart, sending her all the way here.
Father Fu said, "Your brother has contracted a deficiency disease because of you, and I'm afraid he won't be able to continue the Fu family line. Your mother was injured when she gave birth to you and can't have another child. You've let your brother and your mother down, and even more so, me."
"In order to prevent the Fu family from becoming extinct, you must give me two sons."
Fu Ci was struck by lightning.
She never imagined that the father who gave birth to her and raised her would have such dirty thoughts about her.
Fu Ci vomited on the spot out of nausea.
Fu's father was so angry that he beat her severely.
Afterwards, Fu Wen came to ask her about some things about the academy.
Fu Ci concealed part of the truth and told Fu Wen that she and Du Qingtang had an ordinary relationship, and asked him to call Du Qingtang "Classmate Du".
Fu Ci knew that with Du Qingtang's keen sense, he would definitely be able to discover that this Fu Wen was not that Fu Wen.
Fu Ci held a faint hope, hoping that Du Qingtang would come to save her, but she also didn't want her to come.
After being locked up in the nunnery, she realized that it was a den of brothel. All kinds of men came here every day, making disgusting noises.
What if Qingtang comes over and we’re discovered and can’t escape?
There are still five days until the auspicious day predicted by the fortune teller. By then, Father Fu will...
During this period, Fu Ci did not dare to be careless and forced himself not to fall asleep. When he was too sleepy to bear it any longer, he would just take a short nap and wake up soon.
Tonight, she was dozing off against the headboard when she was startled awake by the sudden sound of chopping.
What sound?
Are they the men in the nunnery?
Fu Ci's face turned pale with fright. He looked around for something to protect himself, but found nothing.
Fu's father was worried that she would commit suicide, so he took away all the sharp objects in the room.
Fear surged over him like a tide, and Fu Ci curled up in the corner of the wooden bed, shaking uncontrollably.
The person outside only chopped twice and the copper lock opened.
With a creak, the door opened.
The moonlight was like a silver thread, shining on the person outside the door, stretching her shadow very long.
The light footsteps of a big cat slowly approached, and its shadow fell on Fu Ci, enveloping her completely.
"look up."
The familiar tone of command, strong and unquestionable.
But it made Fu Ci's pupils tremble, and in an instant he returned from an extremely cold place to an extremely warm place. The coldness all over his body faded away, and the warmth made him want to cry.
Fu Ci raised his head and saw a person standing in the misty light of tears.
She got up and threw herself into the man's arms: "Qingtang!"
There was a wetness in the back of his neck and suppressed sobs in his ears.
"Qingtang, is it really you?"
"You came to save me..."
"Qingtang, they are too much. They locked me up here and asked me to give birth to a child. I refused, so they beat me. There are slap marks on my face and bruises on my body. It hurts so much..."
Fu Ci hugged Du Qingtang's neck tightly, like a drowning man grabbing the only piece of driftwood on the water.
Du Qingtang felt a little suffocated and interrupted her mumbling: "Fu Ci, let go."
Fu Ci's eyelashes trembled, and he muttered in a very low voice: "I am Fu Wen, not Fu Ci, you have the wrong person."
Du Qingtang snorted and laughed, hitting the nail on the head: "Fu Ci, your disguise is vulnerable."
Fu Ci pouted and felt like crying again.
She had tried very hard to pass as a man.
Du Qingtang got back to the point: "How do you want to deal with them?"
Fu Ci was a little confused: "They?"
Du Qingtang listed them one by one: "Your father, your mother, and Fu Wen."
Fu Ci argued weakly, "It's Fu Ci."
Du Qingtang: "...How do you plan to deal with your parents?"
Fu Ci was silent, and memories flashed through her mind like a kaleidoscope.
Fu Wen looked at her with jealousy and hatred, her mother's eyes were full of disgust, all kinds of belittling and insulting... finally fixed on her father's lustful and greedy face.
Fu Ci pursed his lips: "I have always thought that although they favor Fu Wen, they also have some love for their daughter, me. Now it seems..."
She was delusional.
Du Qingtang asked bluntly, "Do you want to continue being Fu Wen, or go back to being Fu Ci?"
Fu Ci said without hesitation: "Of course it's Fu Wen!"
At first she was forced to read, but later she really fell in love with reading.
She didn't want to be a fish on the chopping board, nor did she want to be a tool for passing on the family line.
Fu Ci's eyes gradually became firm: "Qingtang, I want to be Fu Wen!"
Du Qingtang slowly curled his lips and said, "This boy is teachable."
"Aci, you should know that if they don't die, you will be the one to die."
Fu Ci's breathing hitched.
"Even if you don't die now, they will squeeze all your value out of you in the future, and then they will abandon you after you've done your job."
Du Qingtang raised her hand and gently stroked Fu Ci's hair, saying softly, "I know Ah Ci is heartbroken. After all, the grace of giving birth to a child is greater than heaven, so I have arranged everything in advance."
Fu Ci held his breath and clenched his fingers.
"A huge fire will break out in the nunnery tonight, and Fu Wen's parents and sister will all die in the flames."
Her people have sprinkled kerosene around the nunnery. With just one fire, no one in the world will know Fu Ci's secret anymore.
Fu Ci's heart was beating fast. He grabbed Du Qingtang's sleeve and asked, "Where will they go?"
Du Qingtang said: "They will not die, they will just go where they should go."
Fu Ci turned his head, his eyes seeming to penetrate the wall and see the person next door clearly.
After a long moment, she slowly nodded: "Then I'll have to trouble Qingtang."
......
Du Qingtang took Fu Ci out of the nunnery and came to a secluded place. He took out a tinder and threw it casually on the dry grass soaked in kerosene.
In just a moment, the flames shot up wildly, and the flames mixed with thick smoke spread out, climbing up the wall with bared fangs and claws.
"Fire!"
With a loud shout, the nunnery fell into chaos.
The men didn't even bother to put on their clothes and ran around naked. The nuns were not much better off than them. They behaved in an ugly manner, and the sound of screams and curses filled the air.
Maybe someone will die in the fire tonight, but whoever comes here late at night can't be a good person. The nun who shaves her head and becomes a monk but hangs out with others is not a good person either. I can only consider it as doing justice for the heavens.
Fu Ci sat in the carriage, watching the raging fire engulf the nunnery.
"Let's go."
"Um."
Fu Ci lowered the curtain, and the carriage rumbled along the narrow path into the distance.
