Chapter 13

Chapter 13

◎I forgive you◎

Liang Beihai made an appointment with A Yu to meet at a family restaurant. He was still a little embarrassed to see A Yu. He asked him not to spoil his appetite and just enjoy the meal. He hated people who were emotional while eating. Only then did A Yu become normal.

A Yu knew that Liang Beihai was not angry, but he couldn't be so shameless as to pretend that nothing had happened just because others were tolerant of him.

"I'm sorry, I said the wrong thing."

"It's okay, I didn't tell you."

Then the two of them laughed at the same time. They grew up together and used to see each other almost every holiday. They were the closest among their peers, so the elders also wanted them to keep in touch.

Liang Beihai explained the visa issue while eating parfait. A Yu sighed. He understood Liang Beihai's feelings. He had selfish motives but also felt helpless.

"I'll keep it a secret for you."

"Ayu, you are so kind, but it's okay, I am mentally prepared."

"I think my aunt and the others might know about this. You know, my aunt used to ask me if there were any older people of the opposite sex around you."

Liang Beihai also had speculations about this matter, but she and her parents maintained a basic tacit understanding and responded to the matter in silence.

But this time it shouldn't be handled this way, after all, they are married.

Liang Beihai knew that his parents would not allow the concept of "fake marriage" to appear, not to mention

"Oh, I almost forgot. We can bring our families with us for team building here. Do you want to come?" Liang Beihai took out a flyer from his bag and showed it to Ayu.

"If you have nothing to do, go ahead. If you need to make up for the missed lessons, don't go."

A Yu had good grades, so Liang Beihai thought the matter was settled after hearing what A Yu said. He then sent a message to Zhang Xin saying that he was bringing his family and wanted to see if a family suite could be arranged for him.

Liang Beihai's family suite was occupied by the shameless Luo.

Liang Beihai has also been busy with exams recently, and sometimes the two of them can't even see each other. They are like cockroaches living in the same apartment, they can only hear the voices but can't see the figures.

Xiaolin privately discussed with Liang Beihai how generous Luo was to him. He hadn't attended previous team-building events, so the trip was just average. This time, the time and fun were both relaxing and enjoyable, and he'd gotten a great deal. Liang Beihai didn't have any close colleagues at the company other than Xiaolin, so he didn't take the bus that day and instead took Luo's car without being noticed.

It was a hot spring hotel in the suburban countryside. We only arranged a group dinner on the first night. Everyone could arrange the rest of the time by themselves and just take the tax bill to the company for reimbursement.

The hotel didn't have a wide variety of wines, so at halftime Luo suggested going to a convenience store to buy some, and he also asked the dazed Liang Beihai to join him.

"Is there any place you want to go for a walk tomorrow?" The evening breeze was quite pleasant, and Luo asked Liang Beihai.

"I'll go back and see if there are any recommendations later."

“That’s not a place where tourists go.”

Liang Beihai didn't drink, but he was half full, so he was in a good mood. Besides, there were only two of them, so he didn't feel awkward. "If you want to go with me, then talk nicely. I don't like you to refute me no matter what you say."

"I didn't refute you, I was just joking with you."

Seeing Luo getting serious, Liang Beihai felt bored again.

She couldn't even say she didn't like him. She actually quite liked Luo's chatterboxing, but she would get annoyed when he was in a bad mood occasionally. She also hated that he was unwilling to express what he wanted to say directly.

"Then if you drink a sip of the water from the river, I will forgive you, including everything that happened in the past."

After listening to her, Luo De stopped and asked her if she was sure, then he really walked quickly towards the river. Seeing that he really wanted to drink, Liang Beihai grabbed him and took his hand: "Forget it, I forgive you."

Luo shook Liang Beihai's hand and said, "I'm very happy now. I'm too shy to bear it and want to say something you don't like."

Liang Beihai sighed and said, “Just say it if I don’t ask you to suppress yourself.”

"Beibei, you like me so much. Since you are so persistent in pursuing me, let's date." Luo De didn't say anything sarcastically, but he also said something that made Liang Beihai unable to calm down. He stood still, holding Liang Beihai's hand and waiting for her answer.

"I've reflected on the things I didn't do well in the past, and I'll change the things you don't like." Luo couldn't wait for Liang Beihai's answer, so he pressed Liang Beihai to nod and continued, "Then today is the first day."

"Okay." Liang Beihai felt his face burning, and he made a barely detectable sound of approval, "No need to change it, it's good like this."

Luo pulled Liang Beihai and ran, shouting a few times, "We're dating." There were not many people on the country road, and the two of them chased each other on the road, laughing.

When they were almost at the convenience store, Luo remembered what A Yu said. In a fit of rage, A Yu blurted out that he wanted Liang Beihai not to implicate himself and his mother because of his own affairs.

Luo didn't ask at the time, but he probably guessed it, after all, Liang Beihai's parents had contacted him a few years ago.

Luo had no right to judge Liang Beihai's parents, and he was indeed despicable in this relationship, but he also could not agree with this disrespect for Liang Beihai.

His parents' excessive interference and control, as well as their distrust of Liang Beihai, made Liang Beihai too impulsive and permissive in making decisions about some major events, which gave him the "opportunity" to get Liang Beihai to marry him.

While Luo was despising his own meanness, he was also glad that he had taken on Liang Beihai's self-destructive tendency. What if it was someone else? What if someone else took advantage of Liang Beihai's opportunity when he was about to give up on himself?

"Beibei, before..."

Before Luo finished speaking, Liang Beihai's cell phone rang. Liang Beihai saw that there was an incoming call, gestured to Luo, walked forward a few steps quickly to distance himself, and answered the call.

"Baby, your Aunt Xu's daughter is going to country N to travel next month. Can you let her stay with you? Mom and Aunt Xu have already agreed on it." Liang Beihai's mother was talking happily on the phone. There was a lot of noise around them, probably because there were outsiders eating with them.

After Dad's business ran into trouble, Mom also started to get busy with her "wifely socializing" outside. If it weren't for the business problems, Liang Beihai's mom would probably have gone to N countries to accompany him to study. Before, because she lived with her aunt, she didn't interfere too much in Liang Beihai's life.

Liang Beihai did not reply immediately, but glanced at Luo Di next to her. She felt a little ashamed, both towards her parents and Luo Di.

Luo Di saw her tangle and nodded at her. He also gave up telling Liang Beihai that he had contacted her parents before. He had no right to blame the parents who protected their daughter. Liang Beihai talked to his mother for a while. Listening to the silence around them, his mother thought that Liang Beihai had gone far away to answer the phone during the team building, so she told her to go back quickly and hung up.

Seeing Liang Beihai's embarrassed expression, Luo, as a husband, said generously: "It's okay, I know I can't see people, I'll move out for a few days when people come."

"A shameful husband living in a luxury apartment sounds ugly." Liang Beihai didn't want to worry Luo, so he lowered his head and joked with him. "He feels like the people in City B restored in the textbook."

"Why are you discriminating against each other?" Luo bent down and kissed her. "If we don't catch those drunkards now, they'll come out to roam the night away."

Under the starlight and faint street lights, the shadows of the two people were very far apart, but their hearts were closer.
