Chapter 2

Chapter 2

◎Since you're here◎

There was a movie starting at 6:20, and Luo arrived at 5:50.

When he was crossing the street, he saw Liang Beihai and a boy standing at the entrance of the cinema, talking and laughing, and they looked very familiar.

Liang Beihai took out his cell phone, checked the time, then looked up and saw Luo and waved to him.

Luo stared at the two people crossing the road. They were standing very close to each other. The boy was dressed in a typical N country boy style. His nationality could not be seen. He should be quite young, giving the impression that he was even younger than Liang Beihai.

But they don't necessarily have to be lovers. They can be siblings, classmates, or just ordinary friends.

What's more, Liang Beihai doesn't like younger men, and Liang Beihai is wearing a loose sleeveless T-shirt and baggy overalls. If the two of them standing there say they are brothers, probably no one would question it.

Feeling Luo's gaze, the boy raised his eyebrows and leaned forward to whisper something into Liang Beihai's ear. Liang Beihai gently hit him and said, "You're so annoying."

Luo thought to himself that it was no wonder that Liang Beihai didn't like younger men or men who looked younger than him. The flowers in front of him were annoying.

Luo De stood in front of Liang Beihai, who had already taken out the ticket. Luo De asked her, "Boyfriend?"

"What?" Liang Beihai frowned, wondering what was wrong with this guy and why he was so troublesome.

Luo De continued to ask, "Is this your boyfriend?"

"Where's the money?" Liang Beihai did not indulge him.

Luo took out his wallet, counted the money, and held it in his hand. He raised his chin and pointed at the promotional poster at the entrance of the theater. "Here, 30% off for two tickets with free snacks and drinks. Your offer isn't that cheap, is it? At least buy me a drink."

The boy next to him didn't react much. Luo guessed that he was from N country and felt a little bothered.

Liang Beihai took the money and put it back in his bag, then walked over to the vending machine next to him and asked Luo, "What would you like to drink?"

Luo De and the boy followed Liang Beihai to the vending machine. Luo De pointed at the peach juice. The boy didn't say anything, so Liang Beihai bought two cans of grape juice and a can of peach juice.

Luo thought it was not that he didn't want to drink it or that Liang Beihai didn't want to buy it, but that he knew Liang Beihai knew what he liked to drink and he didn't need to ask specifically.

"Are you busy later? I'm fine. We met in a foreign country and I bought your ticket. Let's go together. I won't ask you to treat me." Luo tried his best to make his words sound irresistible and asked the question deliberately in N Mandarin.

"We're going to the oceanarium."

"We're going on a date."

Liang Beihai and the boy answered at the same time. Liang Beihai frowned and looked at the boy. The boy smiled, but Liang Beihai did not refute his statement about the date.

"If you don't have a reservation, you might not have tickets. Let's go together sometime. You can go watch the movie. I thought you were in such a hurry because you had plans to watch a movie with someone."

Luo gritted his teeth and said viciously, "The person who wants to date me has no conscience. No one wants to go to the movies with me. Let's go and see it. It's the off-season now, so maybe you can buy tickets at the door."

Liang Beihai and the boy exchanged a strange look, wanting to say something but hesitant to speak.

The three of them entered the station somewhat awkwardly. It happened to be the evening rush hour, so seats on the train were very tight.

Luo and the boy spontaneously made some space for Liang Beihai. The boy took the bag from Liang Beihai and motioned for her to hold on to him.

"Ayu, why are you so kind all of a sudden?" Liang Beihai wanted to ease the atmosphere, so he teased the boy.

The boy slapped Liang Beihai without hesitation when he heard this. "When have I not been paying attention to your hand? I was afraid that your hand would break again and you would cry because you thought you couldn't paint anymore."

Hearing this, Liang Beihai and Luo both froze for a moment, and A Yu seemed to be ready to observe Luo's reaction, and looked at Luo with interest.

Liang Beihai quickly adjusted his mood and replied in a low voice: "It's not that exaggerated."

Luo recalled the time before he and Liang Beihai were about to cut off contact: his graduation data was maliciously destroyed by his classmates, the company preparation process was stuck, he was exhausted from flying back and forth between the two countries, and there were requests from Liang Beihai's parents.

Liang Beihai acted coquettishly and told him that his hand was injured.

What did he say? He said, "Okay, I understand. What do you want?"

Liang Beihai replied that it was nothing, just a casual remark.

That was their last conversation.

When he was done with his work and logged into the game, he found that Liang Beihai's account had changed hands and the account they used to contact each other had been cancelled.

Later on, he gradually realized that Liang Beihai was angry and distanced himself from him because he did not show any concern for him at that time. He thought that Liang Beihai was exaggerating as usual to attract his attention, but he did not expect that he was downplaying the injury.

In fact, he could also feel at that time that Liang Beihai was becoming more and more at a loss when facing him. Liang Beihai no longer acted like a spoiled child because he always disappointed her. It seemed that he must have mustered up a lot of courage to mention it to him at that time.

But he responded coldly.

He always thought that Liang Beihai was young and unstable, so he wanted to avoid being moved, getting hurt, and wasting time, but he ended up hurting Liang Beihai.

Liang Beihai now has new people around her, who seem to be always by her side to care for her and protect her, unlike herself at that time, who was unable to save herself and had to weigh the pros and cons and look back and forth.

He was afraid that if he gave Liang Beihai comfort this time, he would feel that the empty comfort was useless when Liang Beihai was lost again next time. He was afraid that his inability to provide more appropriate comfort would disappoint Liang Beihai. But in the end, he brought Liang Beihai a lot of disappointment.

This boy named Ayu is younger than me and is enthusiastic and not awkward.

What's more, they haven't exchanged names yet.

Even the contact information that he felt was half-enticed and half-forced to be added by him would be blocked and deleted by Liang Beihai after buying the ticket this time.

As soon as we met, I noticed that the prayer incense bag hanging on A Yu's waist bag came from the most popular temple in Liang Beihai's hometown.

He was troubled by something at the time, and Liang Beihai said that he was going to the temple to pray for blessings and would pray for him as well.

What about his sachet? Was it discarded by Liang Beihai just like him?

The three of them walked in silence all the way to the station, and Luo felt a little regretful that he had followed them so shamelessly.

He remembered the request of Liang Beihai's parents: he and Liang Beihai were ten years apart in age, and Liang Beihai's parents felt that he was not a good match. After secretly looking at Liang Beihai's game account, they applied for a new number to contact Luo, asking him to stay away from Liang Beihai and not bring unnecessary harm to Liang Beihai.

He felt unconvinced at the time, wondering why his own possibilities were denied so easily.

Even when he met Liang Beihai again, he felt that fate was on his side. Only at this moment did he realize that he had really hurt Liang Beihai. Everyone around Liang Beihai knew it clearly, so they were hostile to him and those who suspected him.

Luo stopped by the roadside. Liang Beihai and A Yu stopped and turned around to look at him.

He was struggling with the question of whether this was his first and last date with Liang Beihai, or whether he should cut his losses in time and not bother her anymore.

"I won't go for now, you guys go." Luo said with difficulty.

A Yu looked at Liang Beihai with a hint of amusement.

Liang Beihai avoided A Yu's sight and extended an invitation to Luo: "Since you are here, come together."

Without getting rid of Luo's relaxed and happy feeling, nor asking why Luo suddenly changed his mind, he just sent out the invitation casually.

It was as if none of the unpleasantness and separation had ever happened between them, and they developed naturally, met each other normally, got together, and went on a date one day.
