Chapter 159 Only those who have expectations will suffer injustice.

After he finished speaking, he kept his eyes on Old Master Shen, as if trying to read something from his face.

Grandpa Shen simply picked up the lukewarm water he hadn't drunk from before, took a sip, and sighed softly. He then said slowly, "Children and grandchildren have their own blessings. You can handle Can Can's affairs from now on."

"Transfer the portion of the inheritance belonging to me and Can Can to my name in advance," Shen Jiazhou said indifferently. "Grandpa, I've sent them back to the company, but my interests must be protected."

Old Master Shen took a deep breath: "The inheritance has been divided. Find some time to contact your lawyer."

Shen Jiazhou hummed in agreement. He reached for the cup again, pressed his fingertips against the outside of the cup, and then drank the now-cold water in one gulp.

He put the cup down again, and the bottom of the cup made a soft sound against the table.

When Old Master Shen looked over subconsciously, Shen Jiazhou had already stood up: "It's getting late, I'll head back now."

Old Master Shen asked, "Why don't you stay home tonight?"

Shen Jiazhou shook his head: "Grandpa, I have a home."

This place was never home for him, for Shen Jiachen.

He walked step by step toward the study door, and just as he was about to press the doorknob down, he heard Old Master Shen call him back.

"Jiazhou, will you blame me for being biased?"

Shen Jiazhou turned around and looked at Old Master Shen from afar; he was already very old.

He said softly, "Grandpa, it doesn't matter anymore."

Grandpa Shen was no longer the grandfather he remembered, and he was no longer the child who would only hide behind Shen Jiachen.

His last shred of affection for Old Master Shen had been completely extinguished.

Favoritism? Only those who have expectations would suffer such injustice.

Shen Jiazhou nodded slightly: "Take care of yourself."

After saying that, he opened the door and left without looking back.

After an unknown amount of time, the butler pushed the wheelchair up. He helped Old Master Shen into the wheelchair and said softly, "Sir, they are all waiting for you to go down."

Grandpa Shen hummed in agreement. As he was being led towards the study, he couldn't help but sigh, "I think I made a mistake."

The butler comforted him, saying, "Young Master Jia Zhou is still young; he will understand you in the future."

This world is unfair; only children who cry and fuss get more attention.

Grandpa Shen nodded: "You're right, I'm doing this for his own good."

The butler didn't say anything, but dutifully pushed him into the elevator.

An hour later, Shen Jiazhou parked his car in the apartment's parking space and was about to get out when his phone rang.

He glanced at it; it was Can Can calling.

Shen Jiazhou's lips curled slightly, and he immediately answered the phone: "Baby?"

Can Can took a breath on the other end of the phone and said aggrievedly, "Uncle."

Shen Jiazhou frowned and asked, hearing his sobbing voice, "What's wrong?"

Can Can pouted, then, remembering that her uncle couldn't see in the watch, she said even more pitifully, "My aunt and I are moving."
