The move came so suddenly that the whole night was chaotic. Wen Shuqiao took a shower, dressed neatly, and went downstairs. Shen Jiazhou had also taken a shower for Cancan, wrapped him up in a towel like a little worm, and sat on the sofa to blow-dry his hair.
Wen Shuqiao asked, "Why aren't you wearing any clothes?"
Shen Jiazhou said, "Ask him."
Can Can pouted. "You naughty uncle, can't you just speak up for me directly?"

Shen Jiazhou glanced at Wen Shuqiao subconsciously, but the latter just lowered her head, looking at Can Can with a gentle smile on her lips.

Can Can was really tired. Wrapped in her familiar little blanket, she held Wen Shu Qiao's arm with one hand and touched her earlobe with the other. She didn't even ask for a story tonight. She closed her eyes and fell asleep a few minutes later.
After sensing his even breathing, Wen Shuqiao carefully tucked his hands back under the covers, breathed a sigh of relief, and then quietly got up and left the children's room.
The living room lights were still on. Wen Shuqiao half-closed the door and took two steps out when she saw Shen Jiazhou come out of the kitchen carrying a bottle of water. He paused for a moment, then turned around and went back into the kitchen.
Wen Shuqiao walked over in confusion, and when she reached the middle of the living room, Shen Jiazhou had already come out of the kitchen again, carrying a glass of water.
Shen Jiazhou walked over to Wen Shuqiao and handed her the warm water, then asked, "Can't sleep?"
Wen Shuqiao said, "Thank you. I just happened to come out for a drink of water."
Shen Jiazhou gestured with his chin toward the sofa: "Sit."
Wen Shuqiao sat down on the sofa with him, one on each side, and they drank water in silence.
After sitting in silence for a while, Shen Jiazhou asked, "What do you think about tonight's events?"
Wen Shuqiao held the water glass in both hands, looking down at the unfinished water in her hands: "I don't have any opinion, this kind of thing is very common."
Shen Jiazhou twisted open the bottle cap again, tilted his head back and took a sip before asking, "You seem to have experienced a lot of things like this."
Wen Shuqiao gave a soft "hmm": "It's happened a few times."
