Wen Shuqiao and her roommates watched a lot of horror movies in the dormitory. They were the type to close their eyes or peek at the screen through their fingers at the slightest sound.
She wasn't afraid at all, and didn't even flinch. Over time, she became a human wall, showing them where they could watch. Of course, she also had her bad moments, like tricking them into thinking the plot wasn't scary anymore. Every time she saw them get startled, she couldn't help but laugh, and in the end, they fiercely accused her of being a bad guy.
She's a villain, she's glorious!
Wen Shuqiao directly found a horror movie in the well-categorized section that looked promising and asked, "Is this one okay?"
Shen Jiazhou glanced at it quickly: "Hmm...okay."
Wen Shuqiao glanced at him, and Shen Jiazhou stood up somewhat awkwardly: "I'll go turn on the night light."
No matter what movie you're watching, you always need some kind of atmosphere.
Wen Shuqiao looked away, then back at the screen, pressed a few more buttons, and the video started playing.
When Shen Jiazhou returned, he brought back two cups of hot water. Wen Shuqiao accepted the hot water and thanked him. Shen Jiazhou also sat down, with a subtle distance between them.
He looked at the screen and said, "Huh? Weren't we supposed to be watching a horror movie?"
Such a festive scene doesn't look like the beginning of a horror movie at all.
Wen Shuqiao leaned back on the sofa and casually grabbed a cushion: "I suddenly don't want to watch anymore. I'll watch a comedy to relax late at night. I saw the movie promotion online before, and the synopsis looks pretty good."
Shen Jiazhou gently ran his fingertips along the inside of the cup. He looked at the screen for a while and suddenly said, "I'm not afraid to watch horror movies."
Wen Shuqiao hummed in agreement: "I know you're not afraid, let's watch it next time."
Shen Jiazhou's lips curled up slightly, and he said, "Next time, let's invite Cancan too, so we can watch it together."
"Then you're in trouble." Wen Shuqiao said with a smile, "If I can't sleep, I'll just have to mess with you."
Shen Jiazhou placed the cup on the table and leaned back in his chair, saying with a hint of helplessness, "There's nothing I can do. What can I do? I'm his uncle."
Let's hurt each other, kid! He didn't grow up eating meat!
Wen Shuqiao chuckled softly. Just then, the movie started, and she said in a light tone, "Let's watch the movie."
Shen Jiazhou hesitated for a second before speaking, then snorted and thought to himself, "What's so funny? In the end, he's the one who gets bullied!"
The movie was exactly two hours long, and it was indeed very good, with many funny moments. Wen Shuqiao's mouth never stopped moving throughout the two hours.
Shen Jiazhou has a much higher threshold for laughter, but he still laughed a few times. After watching the movie, Wen Shuqiao yawned and said, "Going to sleep now, goodnight Jiazhou."
Shen Jiazhou nodded: "I'm going to sleep too."
He also got up, thought for a moment, and then said, "Cancan drank a lot of water today, so she shouldn't wet the bed tonight, right?"
“He went to the bathroom before going to bed, so he should be fine,” Wen Shuqiao said. “Don’t worry, it’s okay.”
Shen Jiazhou said, "He slept for more than two hours. I picked him up to go to the toilet because he drank too much water."
“Okay,” Wen Shuqiao said, “that way I won’t have to wake him up in the middle of the night.”
Shen Jiazhou went into the children's room first, and when he turned on the light, he saw Can Can sitting on the bed looking dazed, as if she hadn't woken up yet.
The two adults were startled. Wen Shuqiao quickly walked over and asked, "What's wrong, Can Can?"
Cancan looked at Wen Shuqiao, as if she had come back to her senses, and said shyly in a low voice, "I, I remember I found the toilet before I went to use it..."
Before Wen Shuqiao could react, Shen Jiazhou came over and said succinctly, "You wet the bed."
Can Can lowered his head guiltily, having promised not to wet the bed. He clearly remembered finding the toilet before he peed!
When I woke up, my aunt wasn't there either. I sat on the bed alone, stunned for a long time, unable to recover from the fact that I had actually wet the bed.
He's a dragon roaring across the heavens...
[I've said it a million times, you're not like that anymore.] The system's tone was more of a sigh of helplessness; they had the high-definition data on bedwetting.
Can Can stopped talking.
Wen Shuqiao said, "Get up, I'll take you to take a bath."
But Shen Jiazhou had already slipped his arms under Cancan's armpits and pulled him off the bed like a radish: "I'll take you to take a shower."
Can Can also obediently stopped moving and let her uncle carry her.
Shen Jiazhou turned to Wen Shuqiao and said, "Find a clean set of pajamas for him, I'll go wash them."
Wen Shuqiao nodded, rummaged through the closet for clean clothes, and then rolled up her sleeves and went into the bathroom to help.
Since it's already been washed once, this time I'll just do a simple treatment.
When Wen Shuqiao walked in, Cancan was already standing under the shower, rubbing her own flesh.
A flurry of actions, seemingly impressive, but actually just going around in circles on one's own arm.
Wen Shuqiao realized he had wet the bed, but he didn't want to wash himself. Shen Jiazhou took his bath sponge and made some bubbles for him, dutifully giving him a bath.
Can Can glanced at it and pleaded, "Uncle, please buy a new one. Buy a new one."
Shen Jiazhou said expressionlessly, "You'll use this from now on, so you'll remember this lesson."
Can Can turned her head to the side again, rubbing her arms, expressing 200% dissatisfaction with Shen Jia Zhou's answer.
Shen Jiazhou washed him clean, and he glanced at Wen Shuqiao: "Hand me the bath towel."
Wen Shuqiao handed it over, and Shen Jiazhou turned off the shower, wrapped him tightly in a bath towel, then hugged him and said as they walked, "Shuqiao, take the clothes, I'll put Cancan on the sofa, you go and get him dressed."
