Just yesterday I was watching the snow in a mountain resort in Country M, and today I'm already back in warm City A.
Although it is winter in City A, it is considered a mild winter compared to Country M.
As soon as Can Can got home, he quickly took off his clothes, and cake and milk enthusiastically surrounded him.
Can Can also squatted down and affectionately touched their heads and bodies. He hadn't seen Milk Cake for several days, and he missed them so much!
Wen Shuqiao pushed her suitcase in the middle of the living room, glanced at it, and said, "Go open a can of milk cake for me to eat."
As soon as she opened her mouth, the cake and milk came over enthusiastically again. One of them pounced on her lap and whimpered, while the other rubbed its head against her leg, being incredibly affectionate.
Wen Shuqiao bent down and touched them as well. After making them feel comfortable, she straightened up and walked to the door to see if there was anything else she needed to take.
Shen Jiazhou said, "No, don't come out."
He pulled the last suitcase into the house and closed the door. Milk Cake greeted him warmly again, but this time, unlike before, it didn't just touch him briefly and leave. Instead, it affectionately wanted him to touch it.
Shen Jiazhou remarked with emotion, "As expected, they still have feelings for me. Look at the tail of the cake; it's even leaving a blurry afterimage."
He crouched down and touched them. Cake whimpered and tried to rush into his arms as if it hadn't seen him in centuries. Milk was more reserved, squinting its eyes as he let him scratch its chin. The motorcycle roared loudly, and it was clear that it was very satisfied.
Upon hearing Shen Jiazhou's words, Wen Shuqiao turned her head to look at him and then said, "They've always liked you."
After establishing a good relationship with the milk cake, Shen Jiazhou stood up and said, "Every time I come home from get off work, these two pairs of cakes treat me like unfamiliar guests. I don't feel any affection from them."
"Why do you sound so sarcastic?" Wen Shuqiao couldn't help but turn around and look at him again: "Lin Yan used to come here often, but I never saw him greeted with milk and cakes."
Shen Jiazhou thought about it carefully, and it was true. When they saw Lin Yan, they would look him up and down, and when they saw him, their tails would wag.
He's better now.
Seeing his expression, Wen Shuqiao clicked her tongue softly. Can Can heard this, shifted her attention from the can, and asked, "Auntie, what's wrong?"
Wen Shuqiao chuckled softly, walked behind the sofa and pinched his cheek: "It's nothing, I just realized that you and Uncle look exactly alike."
They all have high emotional needs, but Can Can is still young and doesn't know how to hide them, so she will express her opinions as soon as she opens her mouth.
But Shen Jiazhou...
Wen Shuqiao glanced at Shen Jiazhou out of the corner of her eye. Shen Jiazhou was currently carrying a bottle of milk and moving around vigorously, not neglecting anyone.
Shen Jiazhou kept his needs to himself, only speaking them out awkwardly after they were triggered at a certain point.
Shen Jiazhou, who was holding the milk, noticed Wen Shuqiao's gaze. He looked up and caught Wen Shuqiao's eyes.
Shen Jiazhou paused for a moment, coughed lightly, bent down and put the milk on the ground. The milk was happily moving around, but it became very unhappy after being put on the ground and meowed at him.
Shen Jiazhou said somewhat awkwardly, "Go find Cancan, I'm busy."
Wen Shuqiao suppressed a laugh, and when Shen Jiazhou looked over, she pretended that nothing had happened.
Shen Jiazhou's face felt a little hot, so he simply dragged his suitcase back to his room.
Wen Shuqiao sighed, "You took the wrong one, this is my suitcase."
Shen Jiazhou looked down and realized he had indeed pulled the wrong suitcase. Like a hot potato, he quickly let go, grabbed his own suitcase accurately, and strode back to his room.
Can Can was adding canned milk cake to the can when she saw her uncle run back to the master bedroom quickly. She asked, "Auntie, why did Uncle walk so fast?"
Wen Shuqiao shook her head: "I don't know, maybe my uncle is just shy."
Can Can said "Oh," and while patting Cake Milk's head, she muttered, "Then, then I'm the same as Uncle."
He's also very shy!
After packing his things, it was getting dark outside. Shen Jiazhou came out of the master bedroom and said, "Let's stay here for the next couple of days. I'll have Aunt Zhang go to Emerald Courtyard to clean it tomorrow."
Wen Shuqiao stretched her stiff neck: "I'll clean it myself tomorrow."
"Didn't we say we should rest on the seventh or eighth day of the lunar new year? And don't you have a gathering to attend?" Shen Jiazhou reminded him casually.
Wen Shuqiao thought for a moment and said, "Okay."
Before boarding the plane yesterday, Xie Jingbei specifically sent her a message to ask if she had returned to City A. She was still jet-lagged after going to Country M and was not in good condition. The dinner party would definitely be very late, and she still had to go to the studio and a lot of other things to do.
Shen Jiazhou glanced at his wristwatch: "It's almost six o'clock. Shall we go to Gu Xingyuan's shop for dinner first? Then come back and get some rest."
Wen Shuqiao had no problem with the arrangement. She said, "Cancan, let's go."
Can Can immediately put on her shoes and asked again, "Auntie, are we going to get the cake?"
"We won't go for the cake; Grandma already went for a walk today," Wen Shuqiao said. "Let's eat and come back early, okay?"
Can Can nodded: "Okay! Let's go then."
Shen Jiazhou had already sent a message to the store manager, ordered a few of his favorite dishes, and then the three of them dressed up and went out.
After a ten-hour flight, Shen Jiazhou didn't dare to drive. He asked Lin Yan or the driver to come and drive, but that would take some time. While he was still hesitating about who to contact, Wen Shuqiao pulled him into a taxi.
