Chapter 389 Little Secret

Wen Shuqiao took the high-speed train at nine in the morning. She, Zhong Qi, and Xie Jingbei were going to the neighboring province first. After staying in the neighboring province for a few days, they would take a plane to the next city.

After parking the car in the high-speed rail parking lot, the driver got out of the car and went to the back seat to get his luggage.

Can Can woke up early in the morning and clung to Wen Shu Qiao, not even wanting to go to kindergarten. Now that they've arrived at the high-speed rail station, he's hugging Wen Shu Qiao even tighter.

Wen Shuqiao's high-speed rail ticket doesn't go through check-in for another hour, so there's plenty of time.

She gently reminded Can Can to listen to her uncle, and Can Can listlessly agreed.

Wen Shuqiao turned to look at Shen Jiazhou. He didn't come close to her as usual; he just kept staring at her.

After their eyes met, he said gently, "Get off the bus, go upstairs first."

Wen Shuqiao nodded and lifted Cancan, who was sitting on her lap, on her lap: "Let's get off the bus, baby."

Can Can sullenly got off Wen Shu Qiao's lap, picked up her little schoolbag, and got off the bus together.

Even in the morning, the high-speed trains are packed with people.

Wen Shuqiao received a message from Zhong Qi saying that she had already met with Teacher Xie and that she could go directly to them when she arrived.

The three of them had already reached the entrance to the high-speed rail station.

Can Can clung to Wen Shu Qiao's waist, refusing to let go, her eyes red-rimmed.

Wen Shuqiao lowered her head and patted his head, then looked at Shen Jiazhou beside her. She sighed softly, and taking advantage of the moment when Can Can was hugging her sadly, she hooked her arm around Shen Jiazhou's neck and kissed him: "Why do you all look so unhappy? Cheer up."

Shen Jiazhou forced a cold smile, but he still reached out and "pushed" Cancan off Wen Shuqiao.

She held his hand tightly, preventing Can Can from leaning against Wen Shu Qiao again.

He said in a hoarse voice, "Hurry up and go inside. If you don't leave, I'm afraid I won't let you go."

As the time for parting drew closer, Shen Jiazhou became increasingly hesitant to get close to Wen Shuqiao. He certainly didn't want Wen Shuqiao to leave him, but he also knew that he couldn't be so selfish.

Wen Shuqiao is a bird that can fly anywhere she wants to go.

But she will fly back and perch on her own branch.

Wen Shuqiao also felt that she should go in; the longer they stayed, the more torment it would be for the three of them.

She hummed in agreement, bent down and kissed Cancan's face a few times, then straightened up and looked at Shen Jiazhou.

Shen Jiazhou lowered his head very consciously and allowed Wen Shuqiao to kiss him a few times.

Wen Shuqiao took a deep breath and took the suitcase handle: "I'm leaving. Wait for me to come back."

Shen Jiazhou hummed in agreement.

Wen Shuqiao gave the uncle and nephew one last deep look, then turned around and walked quickly into the high-speed train.

When Can Can saw that her aunt had really left, she hurriedly took a few steps after her, but her hand was held tightly by her uncle, and she couldn't move at all.

He turned his head, his eyes red and his mouth pursed, and just stared at Shen Jiazhou.

Shen Jiazhou sighed softly, squatted down, hugged him in his arms, and said gently, "We agreed on this last night, do you remember?"

Tears streamed down Cancan's face as he looked for his aunt, who had already walked quite a distance away.

But when he was about to swipe his card to go in, he saw his aunt turn around and wave at them, as if saying goodbye.

Can Can and Shen Jiazhou watched helplessly as Wen Shuqiao's figure disappeared at the high-speed rail entrance. Can Can finally couldn't hold back anymore and buried her face in Shen Jiazhou's arms, crying uncontrollably.

Shen Jiazhou's eyes also reddened; the uncle and nephew looked like abandoned puppies at that moment.

He took a deep breath and patted Cancan's head: "Okay, okay, don't cry. Auntie will be back in a while."

Can Can kept crying, as if the whole world had collapsed.

Passersby couldn't help but turn their gaze towards Cancan because of her crying.

Shen Jiazhou had no choice but to pick him up: "How about I buy you your favorite cake? I'll buy you a strawberry one and a mango one, both of which you like."

Can Can cried in his ear, "I, I don't want to!"

Shen Jiazhou patted his shoulder: "Then I'll buy it for you when you want to eat it. I'll take you to kindergarten. When An'an and the other children see your red eyes, they'll ask you why."

As he spoke, he carried Can Can towards the elevator. There were many people there, and many people were looking at them.

Can Can sniffed, still looking very aggrieved: "I don't want to go to kindergarten, I want my aunt."

Shen Jiazhou sighed helplessly and said, "You have to be obedient."

"I'm not obedient at all." Can Can opened her mouth and bit Shen Jia Zhou's neck. Bad uncle! He couldn't even keep his aunt away!

He... he's never going to be friends with his uncle again.

He's a bad kid!

Shen Jiazhou hissed, but still didn't let him give in. He just patiently said, "If your aunt finds out you're disobedient, she'll get angry."

Can Can hesitated for a moment, then let go of her mouth and muttered, "Auntie won't be angry with me. Auntie said that even though I'm a bad child, she still likes me."

Shen Jiazhou chuckled softly: "Is that so?"

"Yes!" Cancan said firmly, "My aunt said so."

Hearing that Can Can didn't seem to be crying, Shen Jiazhou said, "Turn your face over so I can see."

Can Can hugged his neck and didn't move.

Shen Jiazhou added, "Turn around and let your uncle kiss the baby's face."

Can Can hesitated for a moment, but still obediently lifted her face off her uncle's shoulder.

He sat in Shen Jiazhou's arms, much taller than the others. Shen Jiazhou wiped away the tears from the corners of his eyes with his fingertips, then kissed his cheek: "Okay, don't cry. I won't take you to kindergarten today. How about you come play in my office? I'll buy you a small cake and your favorite strawberry milk tea later, okay?"

Can Can nodded slightly and said, "Okay then."

Shen Jiazhou finally breathed a sigh of relief. As long as he didn't cry, anything was fine.

He had already carried Can Can to the escalator and was about to put her down, but Can Can twisted her body and clung tightly to his neck, clearly unwilling to go down.

Helpless, Shen Jiazhou had no choice but to carry him to the nearby accessible elevator.

After taking a couple of steps, he heard Can Can whisper shyly in his ear, "Please don't tell Auntie that you bought me a cake and milk tea, okay?"

Shen Jiazhou couldn't help but laugh. He had just said he would be a bad kid, but it turned out he was just talking.

Can Can didn't get a reply from Shen Jia Zhou, so she raised her head and kissed him again: "Okay? Uncle?"

Shen Jiazhou snapped out of his daze and said, "You don't have to tell your aunt, but you're not allowed to cry."

It's a done deal that Auntie is going on a long trip. Can Can knows that no matter how much he cries, Auntie won't come back to hug him or comfort him as a good baby.

The little boy sighed and said, "Okay, Uncle, I won't cry anymore. And don't tell Auntie that I ate cake and strawberry milk tea."

“Okay, this is our little secret.” Shen Jiazhou agreed very quickly.

Can Can nodded and said, "Okay."

Little secret!
