Shen Jiazhou turned over and hugged Wen Shuqiao face to face. He buried his face in her shoulder and whispered in her ear, "Once we've sorted everything out, I'll take you and Cancan around the world as a family."
He wanted to see just how big the world really was.
Wen Shuqiao chuckled softly: "The company's abandoning its responsibilities? The employees' abandoning their responsibilities? The project's being abandoned?"
Shen Jiazhou exclaimed, "You're really ruining the mood!"
"Face the facts, Zhou Zhou." Wen Shuqiao touched his face. "But when you get old, you can make plans like this."
Shen Jiazhou snorted: "Fine, when someone takes over the company, we two old folks can hold hands and travel around the world."
Wen Shuqiao simply rubbed his head again: "Alright, you're all sticky. I'll go wake up Cancan."
She let go of Shen Jiazhou, who then took her hand and said, "I'll go with you."
The two of them went to the children's room hand in hand. Cake had already gone back to its doghouse and was sleeping soundly with its eyes closed.
Wen Shuqiao glanced at it and said to Shen Jiazhou beside her, "You're right, it really has become much lazier."
Shen Jiazhou sighed, "Fine, a lazy dog is fine, as long as he's not sick."
Wen Shuqiao nodded.
The two went into the children's room together, and Can Can's sleeping posture became unrestrained again.
Wen Shuqiao said, "I just tucked him into bed before I went downstairs, it's been less than an hour."
Shen Jiazhou said, "He doesn't sleep like that at home."
Wen Shuqiao chuckled, took out her phone from her pocket, and planned to show Shen Jiazhou the photos she had taken that morning.
