Chapter 442 Wen Zhixia x Shen Jiachen (Fourteen)

After the argument, Wen Zhixia found that it had some effect. Wen Sisi's homeroom teacher sent her a message saying that Wen Sisi had been paying more attention in class these past two days and had been behaving better during breaks.

Ye Yao noticed that Wen Zhixia was constantly looking at her phone and asked curiously, "What are you looking at?"

Wen Zhixia shook her head: "It's nothing, just news from my sister's homeroom teacher."

She put her phone back in her pocket and walked towards the auditorium with Ye Yao; she had some things to do at school today.

Wen Zhixia joined the photography club with Ye Yao when she was a freshman. The club would usually cooperate with the student council to take photos of the school or do some short interviews with students who had good grades.

With National Day just around the corner, the student council proposed shooting a new series of interviews, and Wen Zhixia, as a member of the club, was assigned the task of taking photos.

There are quite a few guests shooting today; almost everyone in the photography team is here.

Wen Zhixia received her work badge. Numbers from one to ten had already been posted in the auditorium. Each department would be interviewed, and this job would keep her busy for three days.

Her work area today is number one, while Ye Yao's is number eight.

To avoid disturbing each other, the seats are spaced far apart.

Wen Zhixia said goodbye to Ye Yao and went to work at No. 1. The student union provided all the equipment, such as cameras. All she had to do was adjust the settings and find the best lighting.

Just as she was busy, she suddenly heard a small cheer.

Wen Zhixia lifted her gaze from the camera and looked in the direction of the cheers with a puzzled expression, where she saw a familiar figure.

Shen Jiachen, wearing a black T-shirt, walked on the middle steps. He was good at his studies and good-looking, so many people knew him and greeted him.

It's like a celebrity meet-and-greet.

He smiled and greeted the others, and finally, his gaze met Wen Zhixia's from a distance.

Wen Zhixia remembered why the name Shen Jiachen sounded familiar; it had been mentioned during a club meeting before.

When Shen Jiachen was mentioned, many members of the club got quite excited and seemed to be looking forward to filming him.

Normally, the president would directly arrange who would be photographed, but this time a lottery was used to decide. The president also clearly stipulated that whoever was drawn would be the one, and no one could switch roles privately.

That day, she drew Shen Jiachen.

This all happened more than a month ago. Wen Zhixia was busy on weekdays and forgot about it after a couple of days. All she remembered was that she had club work to do that day.

Shen Jiachen walked quickly toward Wen Zhixia, but slowed down when he reached the last few steps.

He walked over step by step and stood in front of Wen Zhixia. His tall figure completely blocked Wen Zhixia's view, but Wen Zhixia did not feel any sense of oppression.

On the contrary, she felt that the way Shen Jiachen smiled at her was like that of a docile large dog.

Holding the camera in her hand, Shen Jiachen's eyes crinkled into crescent moons: "What a coincidence."

Wen Zhixia nodded: "What a coincidence."

Hearing the two exchanging pleasantries, a classmate nearby asked in confusion, "Do you know each other?"

Wen Zhixia tilted her head and explained, "I met you at the coffee shop where I work part-time before."

It wasn't an encounter.

Shen Jiachen silently retorted in his heart that it was intentional on his part.

He really didn't expect to meet Wen Zhixia today. To be honest, apart from that meeting on Saturday afternoon, he hadn't had much of a chance to make his presence known to Wen Zhixia in the past two days.

Wen Zhixia said, "The host hasn't arrived yet. I'll look for my senior's light first. Once the host arrives, we can start right away."

Aside from the guests being filmed, the group actually consisted of one filming person, one host, and one assistant.

No one had any objections, after all, they still had to go back to their studies after finishing their student council work.

Wen Zhixia pointed to a spot: "Senior Shen, you sit over there first, let me check the camera light."

Shen Jiachen obediently sat down, staring intently at Wen Zhixia, and asked gently, "Is this alright?"

Wen Zhixia said, "Let me see, senior, please don't move yet."

Shen Jiachen nodded slightly, then remembered that Wen Zhixia had just told him not to move, so he fixed his head in place.

Wen Zhixia thought the lighting in this place looked pretty good in the camera lens, but Shen Jiachen's tall stature blocked a lot of the light as he sat in front of the camera.

She took out her camera and tried several angles before finally putting it down and saying, "Senior, would you mind sitting in the first two rows? The light is a bit blocked."

Shen Jiachen stood up again and sat down in the seat that Wen Zhixia had indicated.

He truly sits wherever you point.

The assistant classmate standing nearby saw this and couldn't help but glance at Shen Jiachen a few more times.

He had a brief collaboration with Shen Jiachen during his freshman year, but back then Shen Jiachen wasn't as easy to get along with as he is now.

Although he didn't say anything, the feeling he gave off was different.

Could it be that Shen, the top student, is in a good mood today? Otherwise, there's no other explanation.

Wen Zhixia adjusted the lighting before setting up the tripod. She would take a few photos of Shen Jiachen with her assistant while she took a picture with another mirrorless camera during the recording session.

The assistant's phone rang; it was his girlfriend calling.

Since it hasn't officially started yet, he turned to Wen Zhixia and said, "Zhixia, could you please put on your microphone?"

Wen Zhixia nodded: "Okay."

The assistant, clutching her phone, went to the side to answer a call. Wen Zhixia picked up the wireless microphone from the chair and walked over to Shen Jiachen.

Shen Jiachen, sitting in the chair, was a head shorter than Wen Zhixia. He pursed his lips slightly, looked up at her, and his heart was pounding.
