Wen Zhixia looked at Yu Mingxue again, and Yu Mingxue let her look at her, her red hair making her look particularly flamboyant.
She pursed her lips slightly, becoming more serious: "Really, there's no need. I only said that because I was afraid you'd fall asleep."
Yu Mingxue said, "I don't care what you think. Anyway, I've already compensated you for the clothes. Why are you being so hesitant again? Just take them."
Wen Zhixia stared at Yu Mingxue for a couple of seconds, then turned to look at the clothes piled up in the dormitory. She seemed to understand something, and looked at Yu Mingxue again, asking, "Are you trying to thank me?"
Yu Mingxue's expression froze for a few seconds before she said, "It's just to compensate you for your clothes."
"Just say thank you if you want to," Wen Zhixia said. "Even if it wasn't you last night, but someone else, I would have taken them to the school clinic and accompanied them to the hospital."
Yu Mingxue didn't answer, but lowered her eyes to look at her beautiful nails, and then looked at other parts of the dormitory.
Wen Zhixia finally understood that Yu Mingxue was just a proud and stubborn person. Just like she said, no one would ever forget her news, and she probably rarely said thank you to anyone.
That's why she used a huge pile of clothes to express her gratitude.
Wen Zhixia withdrew her gaze. She understood, so she walked to the side and casually took out a black long T-shirt from a bag. It had an exaggerated skull pattern printed on the front, which was quite in line with Yu Mingxue's cool sister style.
Wen Zhixia said, "I like this dress, thank you."
She put the T-shirt on her chair.
She then took her pajamas and headed towards the bathroom. Just as she was about to go in, she heard Yu Mingxue call her again.
She turned around and saw that Yu Mingxue was still sitting in the chair, but her gaze remained fixed on her.
Wen Zhixia raised her voice and asked, "What's wrong?"
Yu Mingxue felt a little awkward, but she was really grateful to Wen Zhixia last night, otherwise she would have definitely fainted in the dormitory.
So he awkwardly said, "Thank you for yesterday."
Wen Zhixia pointed to the T-shirt draped over her chair: "You've already thanked me."
Yu Mingxue also looked at the T-shirt. That shirt was compensation, not a thank-you gift.
She looked at the bathroom door again. Wen Zhixia had already entered the bathroom, and the sound of water reached her ears. Wen Zhixia had already started washing up.
Yu Mingxue pursed her lips. If it were anyone else, they would have happily thanked her and wished she could give them more.
But Wen Zhixia only casually took the piece of clothing closest to her, without even looking at the others.
This was the first time she had ever encountered something like this; it was really strange.
Wen Zhixia came out of the shower and dried her hair. Yu Mingxue looked at her exposed arms, which were very slender.
Wen Zhixia is very thin. How could she have had so much strength last night to carry her for so long?
Yu Mingxue weighs nearly 100 pounds, yet Wen Zhixia carried her for such a long distance, steadily and quickly, without even panting.
Wen Zhixia put the hair dryer back, and when she turned around, she saw Yu Mingxue's slightly inquisitive and strange gaze.
She blinked. "What's wrong? Why are you looking at me like that?"
Yu Mingxue looked away: "You're quite strong."
"Thank you," Wen Zhixia said. "Did you turn off the lights?"
Yu Mingxue hummed in agreement. She tossed her phone onto the bed and climbed up the ladder. Wen Zhixia watched her until she was settled on the bed before turning on the switch, intending to use the dim light outside to walk to her own bed.
However, a bright light shone down on Yu Mingxue's bed, illuminating the dormitory very brightly.
Wen Zhixia walked over, climbed onto the bed, and the light opposite her went out.
She silently curled the corners of her lips, and as the curtain was drawn, she said to the person opposite, "Thank you."
Then he heard Yu Mingxue's ambiguous hum: "I was just looking for something, don't flatter yourself."
Wen Zhixia didn't answer Yu Mingxue. She was tired after a busy day, but before falling asleep, she couldn't help but think that Yu Mingxue was actually quite easy to get along with.
Wen Zhixia slept soundly through the night without any dreams until dawn. After a good night's sleep, she felt refreshed and full of energy.
She tiptoed out of the dormitory, attended classes all morning, and was just about to go to the cafeteria when she received a message from Shen Jiachen.
[Shen Jiachen: Is class over?]
Upon seeing the message, Wen Zhixia realized she had forgotten something and quickly replied: "Just got off, heading towards the school gate now."
[Shen Jiachen: Walk a few steps to the left after exiting the school gate. The license plate number is 1212. Parking is not allowed at the school gate. I'm a little ahead of you.]
Shen Jiachen: No need to rush, take your time.
Wen Zhixia replied with an "okay," but her steps didn't stop.
She was just about to put her phone back in her bag when another message came in.
[Yu Mingxue: I ordered a lot of takeout and can't finish it all. Do you want some?]
Wen Zhixia was actually a little surprised that Yu Mingxue would message her. She replied: "[I'm not eating, I have plans for lunch today.]"

For some reason, Wen Zhixia could sense a hint of unhappiness in the number 1.
Although she didn't quite understand why Yu Mingxue was unhappy, she patiently replied, "We made plans yesterday."

Wen Zhixia put her phone back in her bag and, following Shen Jiachen's instructions, took a few steps and saw him standing next to a car.
Seeing her come out, a smile appeared on his previously expressionless face.
Wen Zhixia walked over and said, "Excuse me, have you been waiting long?"
Shen Jiachen opened the passenger door: "I just got here too."
