Shen Jiachen escorted Wen Zhixia to the school gate. He originally intended to let Wen Zhixia take the entire set of jewelry, but Wen Zhixia refused: "I'm not used to wearing this, and the ring is a little too big. You can keep it for me, and we can get it resized together when I have time later."
Wen Zhixia is too thin. Although she has gained a few pounds recently, it is negligible.
She easily took off the ring and smiled as she put it back into his hand.
“Okay,” Shen Jiachen said. “I’ll pick you up after class tomorrow, then we’ll have dinner together and I’ll get it done while we’re at it.”
Shen Jiachen was determined to put it on her, and Wen Zhixia didn't refuse. She nodded and said, "Okay, I'll do as you say."
Shen Jiachen was much happier at this moment, and then said, "Oh right, I've been thinking that I might have forgotten something."
Wen Zhixia looked at him: "What is it?"
"You still haven't answered me whether you want to come to the US with me," Shen Jiachen said. "We'll be back in mid-August. Would you like to come with me to meet my family?"
Wen Zhixia blinked: "Next time? That's a bit too soon..."
Shen Jiachen had an unexpected affirmation of their relationship, but Wen Zhixia still felt it was somewhat unrealistic.
Shen Jiachen probably guessed what was on her mind. It's normal for her to hesitate. After all, people usually only consider meeting the parents after a stable relationship of more than a year, not to mention that the United States is so far away.
Wen Zhixia is a very calm and opinionated person. She won't agree to things just because she's acting impulsively.
Shen Jiachen was actually prepared to be rejected by her. He said, "Okay, then I'll bring you a gift later."
Wen Zhixia nodded: "Okay, I'll be going now. See you tomorrow."
Finally, it wasn't "see you later." Shen Jiachen felt like his smile hadn't faded all night: "See you tomorrow."
Wen Zhixia unbuckled her seatbelt and slightly opened the car door, but before she could put her legs down, she looked back again and saw that Shen Jiachen was staring at her.
She blinked twice, and Shen Jiachen tilted his head and blinked twice as well. He said, "If you can't bear to leave, I can actually elope with you."
"Besides going to class or work, do you spend all your time watching TV dramas and reading novels?" Wen Zhixia raised an eyebrow: "Elopement, you know."
Shen Jiachen said, "I want to elope with you, take me there..."
Before he could finish his sweet words, Wen Zhixia cupped his face and quickly kissed him on the lips.

He was stunned for a moment, and just as he was about to return the kiss, Wen Zhixia quickly let go of him and got out of the car in one smooth motion.
Wen Zhixia stood outside the car, bent down slightly, and waved to Shen Jiachen inside: "Bye-bye."

They didn't give Shen Jiachen any chance to react at all.
Shen Jiachen sat in the car watching her back, then raised his hand to touch the lips that had been kissed.

How could she kiss him like that and then leave without a second thought?

Shen Jiachen angrily sent her a message: 【If you're so capable, kiss me, but not so capable of taking responsibility? Come back! Give me two more kisses!】
Wen Zhixia: I'm irresponsible, I'm a scumbag.
Shen Jiachen stared at that sentence and tapped the screen several times before finally replying in a cowardly tone: "Then you can only cheat on me."

After the college entrance examination, Shen Jiachen handed over his responsibilities, but his grandfather did not want him to leave. He insisted that he hold a nominal position in the company, even though he would not actually do any work. Shen Jiachen agreed to this arrangement.
He booked his ticket to country M for the 20th, thinking that his and Wen Zhixia's final exam week would be over and college students should be on holiday.
As a result, Wen Zhixia was still busy with her part-time job the day before he was to leave.
Shen Jiachen, with his long arms and legs, sat in the coffee shop, watching Wen Zhixia busy herself around. She then sighed deeply, looking at Wen Zhixia with a hint of resentment.
He's been sitting here for so long, and she hasn't even glanced at him twice.
Sometimes Shen Jiachen really doubts his own charm; he shouldn't be unattractive!
Wen Zhixia had actually gotten used to Shen Jiachen sitting in the shop waiting for her. He had nothing to do, so he would sit there until she finished get off work and then the two of them would go back to school together.
After she finished her work, she brought Shen Jiachen a glass of warm water.
Shen Jiachen snorted: "I thought you had forgotten about me."
"How could someone as good-looking and handsome as you forget?" Wen Zhixia said soothingly, "I'm about to get off work, it'll be quick."
Wen Zhixia knew that Shen Jiachen was upset about not being able to see him off at the airport tomorrow, but there was really nothing she could do; the timing just didn't work out.
Furthermore, she and Shen Jiachen agreed to wait until things were more stable before telling those around them about their relationship.
Shen Jiachen could only wait. Finally, she got off work. In the car, he held her face and kissed her fiercely for a long time before letting go.
Wen Zhixia couldn't help but laugh: "Is it really that big of a deal? I only didn't pay much attention to you during my part-time job."
Now that they're on holiday, the two of them actually have quite a lot of time together, and they basically go on dates every day, unless Shen Jiachen has something to do.
Shen Jiachen said, "I'm going to the US tomorrow, and it'll be at least two months before you see me. Don't you miss me?"
"Where did two months come from? You came back in mid-August, and even with ten days this month, there are still several days missing." Wen Zhixia teased him deliberately, "Besides, we can still video chat, can't we?"
