World Four
"If you continue to hang out with that guy Gayel," the blond male frowned, looking at Arisa in front of him, "you're going to get into trouble sooner or later, you know that?"
They had just finished a spiritual sea test provided by the military academy.
Arisa was still undoubtedly number one, and the blond male who had spoken was number three. He had been injured while soothing the seventh female coming off the battlefield, so his soothing progress was a step behind the second male.
He had just sent away a member of the Male Insect Protection Association and repeatedly emphasized to the other party that he was not seriously injured.
Arisa, who was waiting for him to deal with the Protection Association, was now resting her hands on the ground. When he finally finished dealing with it, she looked at him and smiled: "I will definitely remember your warning, Eisman."
"Don't laugh like that!" Eisman squatted down and rubbed Arisa's face hard, "There are still many female insects nearby!"
Even a male insect like me could blush at Arisa's smile, not to mention those female insects who have never seen the world!
The expression on Arisa's face quickly changed from a smile to indifference, but there was still a hint of smile in her navy eyes: "Okay, okay, I really remember what you said."
"I'm not stupid, and I don't really want to be on good terms with him," Arisa said in a voice only the two of them could hear. "I just want to keep an eye on him, to prevent him from doing anything detrimental to the Federation one day."
"You're truly remarkable." Esman withdrew his hand in frustration. "Aren't you afraid that the female insect next to you might actually take his nonsense to heart? That guy is such a blockhead."
"Which female are you talking about?" Arisa looked at Eisman. As a male insect who had just watched his friend deal with the Equal Rights Association's tricks, he was even in the mood to joke with Eisman. "I have too many females around me. You should just say his name."
Who else?
Of course it’s the female insect that always gets close to you.
Eiseman stared at him for a long time, as if to confirm whether Arisa was being funny on purpose. Finally, his gaze fell on Arisa's back: "Who else could it be? Of course, it's this guy who likes to follow you the most..."
The tall, silver-haired female insect's golden eyes were fixed on Esman's hand. After a long moment, he slowly lowered himself to look at Arisa, who was sitting on the ground. "Have you finished the Spiritual Sea Test yet?"
The expression on his face when he spoke was so calm, and the attitude of "we are equals" when he spoke to Arisa made Eiseman quickly think of the male insect they had just discussed - Gayaru.
That male insect was a notorious idiot, an idiot who always talked about "fairness".
This guy Wilson...could he have been influenced by what Gayel said?
Eisman looked at Wilson. He couldn't tell what the other person's attitude was, so he frowned. "Wilson, shouldn't female insects use the word 'please' when talking to male insects?"
"It's okay." Arisa extended her hand to Wilson, who understood and held him up steadily. "Besides, he will be my female insect sooner or later. The hierarchy between us is not that important. Isn't it, Wilson?"
"Yes." Wilson looked at Eisman coldly, then he put on a provocative smile, not very good at it, "—my lord."
Eisman clenched his fists, but he eventually crossed his arms and said nonchalantly, "Okay, Arisa, this is your own fault. Don't blame me for not caring about you when something goes wrong."
"Don't be like that," Arisa, sitting in the female insect's arms, looked at him with a smile, "Even if you are too lazy to save me, you should at least provide some clues to the other insects."
-Don't hang out with that guy Gayel all the time, or you'll get into trouble sooner or later.
Arisa looked down at the three bags of nutrient solution provided by the pirates' chef. The color of each bag was not very good and it made her lose her appetite.
But driven by the thought of "at least having enough to eat", Arisa still plucked up the courage and bit a hole in the transparent bag with her teeth.
It was a very low-quality nutrient solution that tasted almost unpalatable, but it could meet the body's most basic needs.
Gayel next to him had been chattering non-stop since the moment he sat down, making Arisa feel overwhelmed.
"Can you let me eat in peace for a while, Gayel?" Arisa turned to look at Gayel, a look of helplessness on her face. "I'm really not interested in hearing about your feelings towards Wilson right now."
He just wanted to eat for a while and memorize the faces and positions of the pirates in the cafeteria.
As for what kind of feelings Gayel had for Wilson, he was not very interested.
If this feeling was mutual, Wilson should appear in front of him with Gayel at this moment, instead of just Gayel chattering here.
"You are our prisoner now, Arisa." Gayel looked at Arisa, not quite understanding how he could remain calm at a time like this. "Why are you eating here?"
Arisa glanced at him inexplicably, drank the bag of low-quality nutrient solution in her hand, and then patted a pink-haired sub-female who was watching their conversation next to her: "Excuse me, do you have a canteen for prisoners here?"
The pink-haired sub-female looked at Gayel with interest, then turned to look at Arisa, and then he smiled: "Of course not, dear, you can just eat here."
"Besides, we have so many companions here." The pink-haired sub-female said with a smile, "We wouldn't be stupid enough to let a male insect with a mechanical lock on his neck escape."
"Did you hear that?" Arisa didn't care about the second half of the sub-female's sentence. He just looked at Gayel and picked up the second bag of nutrient solution.
"Enough! Arisa!" Gayel looked like he had reached the limit of his patience. The next second, he waved his hand and knocked the bag of nutrient solution out of Gayel's hand. "Where's your dignity as a male insect?!"
There was complete silence, and the pirates nearby all looked over.
dignity?
When Gayel said this, Arisa didn't feel hurt, but only found it funny.
"Are you talking to me about dignity?" Arisa looked at the plate that Gayel had placed on the table. It contained mostly male insects' favorite desserts and a small amount of animal meat. "Are you sure you want to talk to me about dignity under these circumstances?"
As a male insect with the potential to break through to a higher level, he can only eat this inferior nutrient solution on the pirates' starship. In addition, he is treated like this by a low-level male insect because he cannot launch the ability to attack the spirit.
What could dignity do for him? Could it keep him alive until the Federation sent rescuers?
Should he refuse to surrender and eat anything offered by the pirates in order to meet Gayel's standard of "dignity"? But why?
Why should he do what Gayel wants?
What the hell is Gayel?
"Why exactly you're on the battlefield? You know better than me." Arisa picked up the bag of nutrient solution, biting it open quickly this time before drinking it. "You'd better pray that I never return to the Federation. Otherwise, the day I do, you'll be dead."
"I will definitely use my mental power to turn you into a madman," Arisa even laughed when she said this, but the smile did not reach her eyes, "as payment for your offense now."
Gayel didn't say anything, his hands holding the food tray were shaking.
Arisa is clearly imprisoned by a mechanical lock and can't even use her mental power. Why does she dare to say such words to him?
Why did Arisa look at me like that, like... like she was looking at trash?!
Just as the atmosphere was becoming increasingly tense, the pink-haired sub-female who Arisa had asked about "whether there was a special canteen for the prisoners" reached out and placed her hand on Arisa's shoulder.
"Your Majesty," the sub-female looked at Gayel and smiled, "No matter what hatred you have between you, the cafeteria is a place to eat after all."
This is a ready-made step down.
"This sub-female is right." So Arisa smiled and tore open the last bag of nutrient solution in front of her, "Gayel, you heard it too..."
"You're just a sub-female, what right do you have to meddle in matters between male insects!" Perhaps feeling inferior to Arisa, Gayel began to attack the pink-haired sub-female, "Do you have the right to speak here?"
Arisa raised an eyebrow. "...Seriously? A cadet who defected from the Federation to join the pirates, talking to a Zerg pirate whose backers are unknown, like that?"
Is Gayel so valuable to the pirates that he is not afraid of being torn to pieces by them, or are they really that stupid?
"Gayel, you..." The female insect next to him probably couldn't bear to watch it anymore and stood up.
"You're right," the pink-haired sub-female said, turning to look at Arisa, whose shoulders she had put her arm around. "I'm afraid this isn't enough for a male insect to eat. Come on, captive, I'll take you to eat something a male insect should eat."
Arisa didn't refuse. He drank the third bag of nutrient solution and took the empty transparent bag of nutrient solution with him when he left.
The pink-haired sub-female took Arisa directly into the kitchen. Some sub-females wanted to greet him, but he stopped them with his eyes.
Arisa noticed it, but he said nothing. He just glanced around the kitchen in a way that would not be noticed, and finally his eyes fixed on a trash window.
I just don't know if there's a place behind that window for secondary garbage disposal, or if it's directly dumped into outer space.
...Surely, pirates wouldn't be that protective of the space environment? No, it's hard to say. Stereotypes are a bad idea.
"Tell me, what do you want to eat?" The female stopped and turned to look at Arisa, who was lost in thought. "But let me make this clear first. Even if you have a mechanical lock on your neck, I won't let you into the kitchen."
"Star beast meat," Arisa stopped where she was obediently, "I want to eat meat."
"That's the female insect's preference, right?" The sub-female was stunned, a hint of confusion in her eyes. "Why do you want to eat meat? Don't you want some dessert or something?"
Because the star beast meat can help him recover his strength faster, if the federal Zerg come to rescue him, at least he will not become a burden who gets out of breath after walking a few steps.
"Because the nutrient solution smells so bad," but that was all Arisa could say now, "The dessert can't cover it up."
"Okay." Yafe thought about it, nodded, and walked in, "Go make him some star beast meat."
"Do you like to eat it raw or cooked?" After a while, the female turned her head again.
"Cooked, thank you." Arisa replied immediately.
The pink-haired sub-female looked at him curiously, then went in.
Arisa didn't quite understand the admiration in the other person's eyes. He stood there, thinking about what he should do next.
He was indeed curious about why Wilson chose to kidnap him under the nose of the Federation, but the most urgent task was to find out what Wilson meant by "five left".
Does that mean there are only five more planets left to escape the Federation's capture? Not very realistic, after all, the Zerg are notorious for their vindictiveness.
Given the Zerg's reputation for evil in the universe, even if alien races know that their planet is likely to disappear in the universe due to a certain rise of the Zerg, they will not choose to help space pirates and offend the Federation and the Empire.
And now, the federation has probably issued a wanted warrant for Wilson.
As for why Gayel dared to say such words to a pirate whose backing he didn't know in the pirates' territory, was it because the pirates wouldn't easily attack him because of what Gayel had in his hand, or was there some other reason? This matter also needs attention.
So he can't leave this starship in the short term.
