Chapter 46 Looking in the Mirror

Chapter 46 Looking in the Mirror

"Is this the reward you wanted?" Liang Kongxiang's gaze shifted from the small ball in his hand to the glass cabinet on the wall, and she frowned.

She walked in, and the ceiling and floor instantly formed a long straight line connecting her from head to toe. With each step she took, the shadows in all directions moved along with her, creating a scene that sent chills down one's spine.

The cabinet was about the height of a person, with many unfamiliar items arranged in a crisscross pattern. Just as she was about to pull open a glass cabinet, a tall, dark figure descended.

Jiang Jiaoming lay behind her, his arms wrapped around her waist, gently nuzzling her, his voice low and husky: "Want to play?"

"I'm not playing." Liang Kongxiang's voice was decisive, and she used her index finger to nudge his small penis: "Move away a bit."

"Why?" Jiang Jiaoming not only didn't do as she asked, but instead pressed closer, lowering his head to nibble on her red earlobe: "Didn't you promise to give me a reward?"

Liang Kongxiang's ears were very sensitive, and she couldn't help but turn her head. But as soon as she moved, her jaw was suddenly forcefully held in place by Jiang Jiaoming. "Don't move."

The wetness in his ears grew stronger, and Jiang Jiaoming's words became increasingly unrestrained: "Six Jiang Jiaomings, isn't that good?"

"I'm joining the crew the day after tomorrow, and I won't have as much energy as you." Having just finished a dinner party that left her exhausted, and then immediately having to film a commercial and join the crew, Jiang Jiaoming couldn't leave the house for at least three or four days.

Hearing her say that, Jiang Jiaoming knew the reward was definitely off. "Fine," he conceded, releasing Liang Kongxiang's waist and sitting back on the edge of the bed.

This is completely unlike his personality.

Sure enough, as soon as Liang Kongxiang turned around, she saw him propped up on one leg, his collarbone exposed and his pectoral muscles faintly visible. He then pointed to his thighs: "Sit on top and kiss yourself."

Judging from Jiang Jiaoming's tone, it probably wouldn't be an easy marriage proposal, but it was much simpler than his previous request. Liang Kongxiang walked over, and just as she sat down, she met Jiang Jiaoming's smug gaze. She suddenly realized something.

Jiang Jiaoming did it on purpose.

“It’s too late,” he said, noticing that Liang Kongxiang was about to get up. He put his arm around her waist and pulled her down, laughing, “Let’s begin.”

“Jiang Jiaoming…”

"Being cute won't work." Jiang Jiaoming was ruthless, pinching her cheek. "You know you're about to join the crew, so why aren't you making the most of your time?"

Jiang Jiaoming was always the one to initiate kissing, and Liang Kongxiang, lacking experience, looked at him helplessly. They stared at each other for several seconds before Liang Kongxiang sighed and slowly moved closer to his lips. As she moved, her reflection in the mirror behind Jiang Jiaoming moved as well. Liang Kongxiang found this unbearable and simply closed her eyes.

The familiar touch pressed against her lips, cool and soft. Before she could pull away, Jiang Jiaoming pressed down on the back of her head, his tongue forcing its way in through her lips, only to find something hard.

"Open your mouth, baby." Jiang Jiaoming kissed her lips.

As soon as Liang Kongxiang opened her mouth, Jiang Jiaoming swept through her oral cavity, sucking and kissing the tip of her tongue. The quiet room was filled with smacking sounds and swallowing sounds, and occasionally Jiang Jiaoming's shameless voice.

"Good girl."

"Look, the saliva is forming long strands."

"So wet?"

Liang Kongxiang's hands hung limply on Jiang Jiaoming's shoulders. The two kissed until they were drenched in sweat. Her bathrobe slipped loosely down, and Jiang Jiaoming grabbed the fabric on her shoulders and pulled it up.

"That's enough."

Liang Kongxiang turned her head and gasped for breath, and Jiang Jiaoming's attempt to catch up with her lips missed.

He chuckled, "Enough?" He reached inside and touched her, his wet, sticky fingers shoving in front of her eyes, "Is this what you call enough? Hmm?"

Liang Kongxiang grasped his wrist, frowned, and tilted her head away from the smell. As soon as her feet touched the ground, she felt a wave of weakness and collapsed against Jiang Jiaoming.

Sigh. She rested her forehead on Jiang Jiaoming's shoulder, sighed, and gave up.

Seeing her so embarrassed that she gave up on herself, Jiang Jiaoming smiled and carried her to the bathroom to take a shower.

Liang Kongxiang originally thought that Jiang Jiaoming was going to take advantage of her weakness to tease her again, but unexpectedly, Jiang Jiaoming wisely closed the door.

The two eventually settled down to sleep there. Jiang Jiaoming made quite a few physical advances during the night, rubbing and nibbling at her before finally falling asleep contentedly in Liang Kongxiang's arms.

The next day, Jiang Jiaoming went to the company, and Liang Kongxiang also went back to the company to find Chen Yun.

Chen Yun was pouring water when she saw her and asked, "What's making you so happy?"

Liang Kongxiang closed the door, sat in her office chair, and said with a smile, "Filming is finished."

"What a strange thing." Chen Yun didn't believe it at all, but her intuition told her to add, "You need to report anything to me in advance, understand?"

"Yes." Liang Kongxiang nodded, and seeing Chen Yun drinking water, she suddenly said, "I got back together with Jiang Jiaoming."

"fine."

"...I didn't really ask you about your speed."

Liang Kongxiang smiled and said, "You said it, to report it."

Chen Yun asked suspiciously, "What kind of spell did he cast on you?"

“I didn’t serve soup; this was a decision I had considered,” Liang Kongxiang said.

Chen Yun sat on the table, placed the cup in her hand beside her lap, and frowned as she instructed, "Have you discussed what to do next? With his personality, he's never short of beautiful girls around him. Maybe he'll get tired of him once the novelty wears off? Kong Xiang, it's not easy for female artists to survive in the entertainment industry. Their prime years are limited. Look at what roles actresses who are a little older are playing. They're mostly playing mothers to male actors, and even the slightly better ones are just supporting roles. Scripts that simultaneously satisfy the female lead with depth and a compelling storyline are extremely rare."

She earnestly advised, "At this stage, you must not ruin your future for love."

"Yes. I know."

"Jiang Jiaoming... what did he say?"

"What?"

Chen Yun: "Are you planning to make it official?"

"I don't have that plan for the time being." She had considered what Jiang Jiaoming said. Although she didn't rely on fans to get roles, she still benefited from the popularity of online traffic. She couldn't do something that required both. Besides, she also understood that once it was officially announced, all her efforts would only amount to the empty words "CEO Jiang's girlfriend".

"What do you mean by 'temporarily'?" Chen Yun seized on this word, frowning as she pressed for an answer: "What does 'temporarily' mean?"

“Sister Chen,” Liang Kongxiang suddenly called out seriously, looking at her, “After finishing these two dramas, I might take a break for a while. Anyway, I haven’t seen any scripts that are particularly worth taking, so I’d rather have none than accept something of poor quality.”

Chen Yun's vision went black.

Seeing her wide-eyed, slightly agape expression, Liang Kongxiang guessed she was frightened by her words. She smiled and gently patted her forearm, which was resting on the table, before saying, "I'm planning to put together a movie myself."

"..."

Liang Kongxiang was speaking in a heavy breathing voice, and it took Chen Yun about ten seconds to catch her breath before asking her, "Why do you suddenly want to change careers?"

“I was originally in the directing department,” Liang Kongxiang said helplessly, “It’s not like I changed careers.”

"Isn't it good to stay in your comfort zone?" Chen Yun was reluctant to let her go. How many good deeds must she have done in her past life to earn a talented, well-planned, and unconventional artist like Liang Kongxiang? She'd finally seen happiness in her future, so why would she agree? But she also knew that refusing was useless. Even if Liang Kongxiang was under contract with the company, she could afford the penalty for leaving if she really wanted to. Besides, she didn't want to escalate the situation to the point of a complete falling out with Liang Kongxiang, especially now with Jiang Jiaoming involved; it was even more unnecessary.

“Sister Chen, you said it yourself: try more things while you’re young. Opportunities and experience can’t be waited for. A thousand theories are not as good as one firsthand experience.” She knew what Chen Yun was worried about and felt that her concerns were understandable. “Don’t worry, being a director and an actor doesn’t conflict. As for my first movie, of course I’ll direct and star in it myself. We still need to make the most of the hype. As for the future, I will definitely still take on roles. I won’t completely switch to behind-the-scenes work.”

This matter is still far off, so Liang Kongxiang didn't say much. Instead, she talked about another thing: "Last night, Tian Lei's nephew asked me to accompany him for drinks. Jiang Jiaoming did a very tough job, which means he has torn off his relationship with Tian Lei in public."

She recounted in detail what happened in the private room, and Chen Yun became increasingly angry as she listened.

"That Zhao Yingrui has done this more than once. Before he was even an adult, he bullied many celebrities, both men and women, because of his good family background." Girls would grope him and ask him to dance or sing, while boys would massage their legs and shoulders and occasionally humiliate them. No one dared to do anything to him, so he became more and more lawless.

However, Chen Yun was somewhat surprised that Jiang Jiaoming had actually broken ties with Tian Lei. He wasn't the type of person to do such things often. "Isn't this a bit too radical? Is he plotting something again?"

Liang Kongxiang shook her head. "I'm not quite sure."

“Okay, let me know if anything comes up,” Chen Yun said, catching up on Liang Kongxiang’s words. Then she asked, “Are you going to the set with President Jiang tomorrow?”

“He’ll go,” Liang Kongxiang said helplessly. The movie night was in a few days, and she still had to go back to Gongtai, but Jiang Jiaoming insisted on going. Moreover, he had already inspected the hotel where she was staying beforehand, installed surveillance cameras in every corner of the corridor, soundproof walls and alarm devices in the room, and even arranged a room next to hers with a nutritionist and bodyguards.

The new film was shot in a remote southern town. After getting off the plane, we still had to drive a long way along a bumpy, narrow road to get to the hotel.

The car was parked at the back door. Liang Kongxiang walked in front, and Jiang Jiaoming followed behind her upstairs with his suitcase, looking around at the surroundings. "I'll try to come here often."

“It’s too far,” Liang Kongxiang said. “I’ll go back in a few days.”

"Rejected." Jiang Jiaoming said calmly, "At least the last drama had Cao Lengyu. I'm not comfortable with you being alone in such a far place for three or four months in this drama." Besides, he hadn't even checked the male actors yet, so he couldn't feel at ease.

"With such a large Buddha statue here, how can the director possibly film?"

"I've worked with Wang Gao before, so why don't I just use that as an excuse to visit him on set?"

His reasons were valid, so Liang Kongxiang had nothing to say, only warning him not to cause trouble on set.

"What kind of reckless behavior can we do?" Jiang Jiaoming looked around. "Should we put up a few more mirrors here?"

Here we go again. Liang Kongxiang covered her ears, opened the door, and headed towards the elevator. Jiang Jiaoming followed slowly behind her.

As the elevator doors opened, they were met with several unfamiliar actors staring at them with their big, round, dark eyes.

The group looked at each other, first at Liang Kongxiang, then at Jiang Jiaoming.

If I'm not mistaken, isn't this General Manager Jiang from Zaiying Pictures...?

Didn't I always hear that they had a really bad falling out? Did they reconcile after filming a movie?

Or is there something else going on behind the scenes?
