"Young Master." Si Kangzhu walked in.
"Miss Zhe, student Qin's surgery was successful, and she has been transferred to the intensive care unit."
Xu Zhe immediately got out of bed and ran outside without even putting on his shoes.
Si Kangzhu glanced at Xu Zhengxi, picked up Xu Zhe's shoes, and followed him.
On the hospital bed, Qin Yuyang was still unconscious, with tubes inserted all over his body.
Three health monitoring devices were nearby, beeping incessantly.
Xu Zhe sat on the stool by the bed, unable to do anything but stay by his side.
Si Kangzhu came in and put her shoes on the ground.
A subordinate came in shortly after, carrying Qin Yuyang's backpack and handing him a blue velvet box.
Si Kangzhu took it and placed it directly on the bedside table.
Xu Zhe noticed the small blue box and curiously picked it up and opened it.
Qin Yuyang's secret was finally revealed to her.
Inside the box lay a sparkly necklace with a small pink stone hanging from it. A folded piece of paper was hidden on the lid, which Xu Zhe noticed immediately.
Xu Zhe unfolded the origami, which was covered with Qin Yuyang's confession to her...
Upon seeing this, Si Kangzhu immediately regretted not checking before letting it in. It was found at the scene of their abduction; the box and backpack were lying on the ground.
Si Kangzhu was annoyed with herself; she should have put the box in her backpack beforehand!
He hurried out to report something important to Xu Zhengxi!
Xu Zhe folded the letter back the way it was written, but before he could finish, it was snatched away by the person behind him.
Xu Zhe turned around and saw Xu Zhengxi.
"Don't look!" She snatched the letter back from his hand. "This is Qin Yuyang's privacy!"
Xu Zhe continued to fold the letter and put it back in the blue velvet box.
"His privacy is what it means to covet my person?!" Xu Zhengxi's patience reached its limit.
It's one thing to contact him secretly, but it's another to spend New Year's Eve with him without telling me!
I can't believe this guy was holding back his confession! This can't be ignored!
"I am not your person!" Xu Zhe said expressionlessly. "I am an independent individual."
Xu Zhengxi laughed in anger. The person who clung to his leg and begged him to take her away back then, now says she's not his person? She's independent?
So this is what it means to have grown wings!
Xu Zhengxi didn't want to argue with her in the ward, so he simply carried her on his shoulder.
"Xu Zhengxi! Put me down!" Xu Zhe shouted as he pounded on his back.
Xu Zhengxi walked out of the ward without saying a word.
Seeing his expression, Si Kangzhu, who was guarding the door, dared not speak. He followed behind Xu Zhengxi and then obeyed orders to drive back to the Xu residence.
In the van, Si Kangzhu quietly lowered the back seat partition, giving them privacy.
Xu Zhe glared at him angrily: "He broke his bones because of me and he's still unconscious. You won't let me stay there and are leaving him alone in the hospital?!"
Xu Zhengxi's face was grim as he suppressed the anger surging within him:
“We have already sent people to look after him, and his parents will be here soon.”
"Send people?!" Xu Zhe stared at him, incredulous at his coldness. "Sending unrelated people is all it takes?!"
"Who's involved?!" Xu Zhengxi suddenly pressed against her, forcing her against the car window. "You?!"
