Liang Shaojie's face was burning. Being slapped was much more painful than being punched. Besides the pain, a slap also brought a deep sense of humiliation.
"Damn it!" He touched his face. "Anyone can just slap me in the face!"
Liang Shaojie glanced at the person who slapped him, then turned to look at his father: "This is the daughter-in-law you've chosen? A well-bred young lady who slaps people in public?!"

Her meticulously made-up face couldn't conceal the gloom in her emotions. The pink gown, studded with diamonds, revealed her slumped shoulders, completely ruining the ethereal quality of this haute couture dress.
Liang Shaojie caught a glimpse of the jeweled crown on Yu Tiantian's head and couldn't help but sneer. This nouveau riche outfit, from head to toe, was definitely not his style.
"What are you laughing at?!" Yu Tiantian broke free from her mother's hand and took a few steps closer to Liang Shaojie.
Liang Shaojie lowered his eyes: "I was laughing... never mind."
Making comments about women's clothing in public is not his style.
"Standing up for your brother? What a touching display of sibling affection." He said, turning his gaze away to look for Liang Shile in the crowd.
Liang Shile is a man who would go to great lengths for his friends. Back then, for Xu Zhe's sake, he led a group to intercept Xu Jinhan at Chun Gu Villa, almost getting caught up in factional infighting.
It would have been better if he hadn't looked for him; finding him almost made him furious! That heartless Liang Shile was actually leaning on Zou Kai while drinking champagne?!
They were clearly enjoying themselves, their eyes shining – were they there to watch the show?
Liang Shaojie was furious; his sister had completely exhausted his remaining patience! He didn't want to waste any more time with these people!
He looked down at Yu Tiantian in front of him and said slowly, "Miss Yu, do you know why I haven't attended even one of the many meetings arranged by our families?!"

Yu Tiantian didn't say anything, but stared coldly at Liang Shaojie.

"Hmph!" Liang Shaojie snorted coldly, too lazy to pay attention to that brainless person, and only asked Yu Tiantian, "Miss Yu, do you still remember Luo Huasen and Wang Xiaoli by Lingnan Lake back then?"
