Xu Zhe awoke from a state of confusion.
There was no plot in the dream, only a thick, white fog.
When I opened my eyes, I was facing the high dome of the ceiling.
Xu Zhe turned to look around, but there was no one there.
She regained consciousness and immediately sat up.
This is Xu Zhengxi's bedroom, but Xu Zhengxi is not here.
Xu Zhe's heart sank to the ground and started beating wildly.
Thump...thump thump, without any pattern.
"Xiao Zhe".
The person she had been looking for since she woke up had returned to the bedroom door.
"woke up?"
Xu Zhengxi strode over, sat down on the edge of the bed, and put his arm around her.
Are you hungry?
His voice was extremely gentle.
The voice was familiar, but the tone was unfamiliar and different from the usual cold and aloof one.
Xu Zhe shook his head, leaned closer, and rested his head against his chest.
"I thought you had left."
Xu Zhe murmured to himself, his voice tinged with lingering fear.
"I'm handling official business in the outer room."
Hsu Cheng-hsi explained, "I didn't leave."
Xu Zhe tilted her head, pressed her cheek against his chest, and leaned her body against him.
"Let's eat first."
Xu Zhengxi gently patted her head, showing great patience.
Xu Zhe shook his head again.
"Good boy/girl~"
Xu Zhengxi planted a kiss on her little head.
Then he got up, picked the person up, and carried them to the living room outside the bedroom.
As his body lifted into the air, Xu Zhe naturally wrapped his arms around his neck.
Even when Xu Zhengxi was about to put her on the sofa, she refused to let go.
Xu Zhe continued to snuggle in his arms, his two hands wrapped tightly around Xu Zhengxi's neck, clasping together.
Xu Zhengxi had no choice but to sit down with her in his arms, just like before.
Xu Zhe then released his hand and placed it on his shoulder.
Xu Zhengxi reached out and lifted the lid of the soup bowl. The rich aroma of the stew immediately wafted out, filling Xu Zhe's nose and making her brows furrow.
"I don't want to eat."
She turned and hid in his arms.
Hearing the soup bowl being covered, he slowly turned his head.
But then he caught sight of a piece of honeydew melon being offered to his mouth.
The melon, held on a silver fork, had a refreshing aroma that whetted her appetite.
She finally opened her mouth and took a bite of the melon on the fork.
He swallowed one piece, then brought another to his mouth.
Xu Zhe ate several pieces, but there was always another piece waiting for her.
My stomach already feels full.
So, she took a bite of the melon from the fork but didn't chew it. Instead, she looked up at Xu Zhengxi.
Before Xu Zhengxi could react, she stretched out her arms and climbed onto his neck.
The person stood up slightly and put the melon into his mouth.
Xu Zhengxi paused noticeably, then subconsciously took the food, chewed it, and swallowed it.
His prominent Adam's apple bobbed up and down.
Xu Zhe noticed the fleeting look of surprise on his face and suddenly found it amusing.
Even the usually dignified and proper Xu Zhengxi had such an expression.
She was getting playful and mischievously kissed the protrusion on his neck.
As the soft lips touched his, Xu Zhe immediately felt his muscles tense up.
Her playful side intensified, and she opened her mouth.
Bite gently with your teeth, then suck hard.
Her Adam's apple bobbed a few times in her mouth.
Just as she had finished playing and let go, the next second, she was pressed down onto the sofa.
Xu Zhe looked up.
Above him were Xu Zhengxi's dark eyes and heavy breathing.
His well-defined knuckles slowly and deliberately unbuttoned his shirt, one button at a time...
Next up are dress pants...
Xu Zhe's heart pounded, but he didn't feel as uneasy as he had before.
Instead of avoiding her gaze, she squinted and boldly admired the scene.
Broad shoulders, narrow waist, and strong, defined lines.
With her striking features, she's far more pleasing to the eye than the Duck from Noah's Ark.
