Si Xingzhu got into the car and, without thinking twice, immediately called Principal Dai, forcing the old man to find out Xu Zhe's whereabouts.
Principal Dai had no idea about such trivial matters as which teacher was going to which primary school for science popularization. After being fiercely threatened by Si Xingzhu, he had no choice but to ask someone to find out, no matter how unhappy he was.
Not long after Si Xingzhu hung up the phone, Si Kangzhu called back.
She clicked her tongue in annoyance and answered, "Spit it out!"
Si Kangzhu was too lazy to argue with her and said calmly, "Go to the lecture hall of Guangfu Town Central Primary School. Miss Zhe is there."
Si Xingzhu immediately gave the address to the driver, then frowned and asked, "How did you know?"
Si Kangzhu's temper flared up, and she burst into a tirade of curses:
"Si Xingzhu, you idiot! You can't even find the right person when something happens! I have Miss Zhe's location! How many times have I told you?! How many times?!"
"You're always acting like a scoundrel, picking fights everywhere! And you never even tell me when something happens! If Butler Zhou hadn't come to me in time, how long were you planning to delay?! Can you afford the consequences?!"
Si Xingzhu's ears were stunned by the bombardment, and her mind went blank, as if it had been completely destroyed by a weapon of mass destruction.
She regretted it. Si Kangzhu was right. She shouldn't have been so reckless. It took her three days and her limited connections to find out about Yu Tiantian.
She shouldn't have tried to be a hero, relying on her martial arts skills to search for someone alone. She wasted time, and if something really happened, she wouldn't be able to bear the consequences even if she died!
"Brother, I was wrong." Si Xingzhu softened. "Please send reinforcements!"
"Okay!" Si Kangzhu hung up the phone.
Before calling Si Xingzhu, he had already reported to Xu Zhengxi and arranged for local personnel to be stationed at the school.
Xu Zhe was unaware that the entire Xu family was anxiously running around for her. Her phone was on silent and in her schoolbag, and she didn't check it during class.
The two-hour class, with only a ten-minute break in between, seemed to fly by. The elementary school students were very studious; after the class, they all stood up and bowed to Wei Ze and his two companions.
"Thank you, Teacher Wei, Teacher Yao, Teacher Xu, you've worked so hard!"
Xu Zhe was deeply moved by the pure and untainted gratitude expressed by the elementary school students.
She suddenly realized the significance of popularizing chemistry: it can inspire young students who haven't yet started studying chemistry to have a greater desire to explore the amazing world.
Yao Zhiyuan's eyes also reddened. Even the most eager-for-success person will soften when faced with sincerity.
The elementary school students left the classroom in an orderly fashion, and Xu Zhe and Yao Zhiyuan were busy packing up the experimental materials. Some used chemical reagents needed special treatment before being taken away.
"Zhe!" A familiar voice came from the doorway of the lecture hall.
Xu Zhe looked up and saw Si Xingzhu rushing towards him.
"My Zhe! I'm so glad you're alright!" She strode over and hugged Xu Zhe tightly.
"Me, cough cough... what could be wrong?" Xu Zhe was being held so tightly by her that her trachea was being blocked.
Si Xingzhu ignored everything and hugged Xu Zhe as if she had saved her life, her livelihood, and the whole world!
Wei Ze, unaware of the situation, assumed it was just another couple with multiple partners. He sighed and shook his head, realizing Xu Zhe was quite the ladies' man; society was becoming increasingly diverse these days...
Yao Zhiyuan reacted instinctively, his eyes tightening! He thought he had escaped a disaster, but unexpectedly, the monstrous and ruthless bandit reappeared!
What to do? What to do?! What if she takes another stroll around the campus by herself?! All that good teacher image I just built up in front of the students!
Yao Zhiyuan felt like dying. Why was he so unlucky? Just when his life was finally starting to look up, Xu Zhe and Si Xingzhu appeared!
Xu Zhe patted Si Xingzhu's back: "Miss Si, can you let go first? I'm perfectly fine~ Let go, let go, if you keep squeezing me down, I might really be going to die."
"Pah!" Si Xingzhu released the person and continued to spit on the ground, "Pah! Pah! Pah!"
"You're not allowed to say unlucky things!"
Xu Zhe: "......"
Wei Ze glanced at the floor with disdain. What poor manners!
"Are you done yet? If you are, hurry back!" Si Xingzhu went to get Xu Zhe's schoolbag.
Xu Zhe continued tidying up: "There are still some things that haven't been organized."
Wei Ze quickly said, "Xu Zhe, you go first. There's not much stuff. Yao Zhiyuan and I can handle it."
Upon hearing Yao Zhiyuan's name, Hua Duo was shocked and felt a chill run down her spine!
Sure enough, Si Xingzhu turned her head and saw Yao Zhiyuan in the back row of the classroom, his face ashen.
"Hehe!" Her spirited eyes instantly narrowed into a menacing shape, and she curled one corner of her lips as she walked step by step toward the back of the classroom.
Yao Zhiyuan's body trembled violently; the monstrous, ruthless bandit was coming to kill him! He was going to die!
"Si Xingzhu!" Xu Zhe called out to her, "Come back!"
Si Xingzhu stopped in her tracks.
"Let's go back!" she called out again, only to see the man reluctantly turn around.
Xu Zhe said goodbye to Wei Ze: "Teacher Wei, I'll head back now."
"Okay." Wei Ze nodded and continued processing the reagents.
Si Xingzhu slung her schoolbag over one arm and rested the other on Xu Zhe's shoulder as she left the classroom.
I had only taken a few steps when I heard someone calling, "Teacher Xu."
Xu Zhe assumed it was a teacher from the school and turned his head away without thinking much of it.
Before she could even see who called her, a clear liquid was splashed into her eyes!
At the critical moment, her body was pushed away by a tremendous force, and her back slammed heavily onto the floor of the corridor.
With a loud crash, glass shattered, followed by a strong, corrosive acid smell.
"Xu Zhe!" It was Wei Ze's voice.
"Miss Zhe!"
"Miss Zhe!" It was an unfamiliar male voice.
"Si Xingzhu!" It was a somewhat familiar voice, the voice of the bodyguard from the Xu residence.
The corridor was instantly filled with people coming and going, and Xu Zhe's ears were filled with all kinds of sounds.
Someone helped her up: "Miss Zhe, let's leave here first!"
Xu Zhe was stunned by the sudden situation and let the man help him into the nanny van.
She only came to her senses when she saw Mr. Wu in the driver's seat.
"Where's Si Xingzhu?!" she asked the person who saw her off to the car. The person looked familiar and was probably a bodyguard from the Xu residence.
"Si Xingzhu... has already gotten into the car." The bodyguard said only half of what he meant.
"Is she alright?!" Xu Zhe had spent a lot of time in the lab, so she was particularly sensitive to the smell of sulfuric acid because it was so pungent!
"She..." The bodyguard hesitated, unsure whether to speak now. His professional instincts told him that the most important thing at this moment was to get the key person away from danger.
“Say it! Otherwise I’ll get out of the car right now and go find her!” Xu Zhe glared at him.
"She was injured and should have been taken to the hospital."
"Go to the hospital! You get in the passenger seat and lead the way!" Xu Zhe's voice was icy, brooking no argument.
