"Rumble rumble rumble..."
A tremendous gust of wind came from the sky.
The few people stranded on the mountaintop all looked up at the same time.
Su Nan and Bei Xiaoyu were surprised. Could this be... the rescue that Xu Zhe called for?!
The three male students gazed at the enormous propeller and fuselage, and sighed inwardly: Cool!
Instructor Liu watched, purely out of boredom and curiosity.
"Rumble rumble rumble..."
The sound grew louder and louder, directly above their heads.
Then, it slowly descended to the open space at the top of the mountain.
Only after seeing the markings on the plane did Xu Zhe realize that it was there to pick her up.
The speed is quite fast, but Xu Zhengxi is being too exaggerated, isn't she?
They asked him for help, and he actually sent a helicopter?!
After landing, the helicopter rotors were still spinning, stirring up gusts of wind on the mountaintop.
Xu Zhe covered his eyes to prevent the sand from getting in.
When I opened my eyes again, I saw several medical staff carrying a stretcher in front of me, as well as Si Kangzhu, who was leading the team.
Did they send Si Kangzhu as well?
Xu Zhe thought to himself, "This is my trusted confidant."
Si Kangzhu approached Xu Zhe and bent slightly:
"Miss Zhe."
Xu Zhe didn't have the energy to care about how he addressed her in front of their classmates.
"The left leg is likely fractured."
"My femur was fractured two years ago, and the plate has already been removed."
She briefly explained her physical condition.
Medical staff surrounded them and began to examine and treat the patient.
A medical worker looked up and asked:
"Wasn't any first aid given beforehand?"
Xu Zhe shook his head.
The medical staff continued to ask:
"Has the body been moved?"
Xu Zhe nodded.
The medical staff who was asking the question frowned, glanced at Instructor Liu, and said nothing more.
Xu Zhe was quickly lifted onto a stretcher and sent to a helicopter.
From the moment Si Kangzhu called him "Miss Zhe," Instructor Liu's thoughts began to wander.
It wasn't until Xu Zhe was put into the cabin and Si Kangzhu followed behind the medical team that Instructor Liu finally had a chance to step forward.
"Hello, I am Xu Zhe's instructor."
Instructor Liu pulled Si Kangzhu back.
Worried that Xu Zhe would hear, she deliberately lowered her voice.
Si Kangzhu stopped in her tracks, her expression indifferent and revealing no emotion.
Instructor Liu grew bolder:
"Who are you to Xu Zhe?"
"My students cannot be taken away so easily."
He appeared to be cautious and responsible.
Si Kangzhu sized up the person, then glanced at the expressions of several classmates not far away.
They seemed to be wary of and disgusted by this Instructor Liu.
Si Kangzhu stretched out her arm, freeing herself from his hand, and slowly said:
"I am Miss Zhe's bodyguard."
"Should my husband call your boss?"
Instructor Liu was instantly speechless, his mouth agape for a long time without uttering a sound.
Bodyguards? Their leaders?
His calm and understated tone conveyed a subtle yet powerful deterrent.
Si Kangzhu ignored him and turned to walk towards the cabin door.
Instructor Liu was left with a grim face, his arms hanging limply at his sides as if they were broken.
The helicopter rotors started up again, gradually increasing in speed, and the resulting swirling wind stirred up the vegetation on the mountaintop, producing a loud noise.
"Rumble rumble rumble..."
The aircraft slowly rose, swept overhead, and disappeared from sight...
The mountaintop gradually quieted down, the sun was setting in the west, and all was silent.
"What the hell!"
Bei Xiaoyu was the first to break the silence.
"Isn't this just like my brainless CEO novel coming to life?!"
Su Nan looked at her round face, her mouth agape, and couldn't help but smile.
"Who are your roommates?"
Several male students were also surprised and curious.
Hehehe...
Bei Xiaoyu, having imagined some new scenario, let out her signature laugh.
"She must be the daughter of the Dragon King of the Southern Region, hiding her identity!"
"You have rendered meritorious service in saving the princess. Once she has recovered, report back to the Dragon King..."
As Bei Xiaoyu spoke, she glanced at Instructor Liu.
"The Dragon King should certainly express his gratitude, and..."
Su Nan couldn't help but ruffle Bei Xiaoyu's hair. The Dragon King of the Southern Region—how could she even think of such a thing...?
Looking at the three boys again, their expressions showed surprise, joy, and confusion, but no one seemed to doubt or be suspicious!
"Wow!"
Su Nan blurted out, "These bookworms actually believed Bei Xiaoyu's nonsense!"
Instructor Liu's face alternated between black and white, looking extremely unpleasant.
I don't know how many times my thoughts have changed.
Su Nan ignored him and waved to her classmates, telling them to hurry down the mountain.
Hospital
Xu Zhe underwent an examination and had a CT scan, which confirmed that he had a fracture of the left femur.
The doctor prescribed her painkillers, told her to rest overnight, and that she would have surgery the next morning.
Xu Zhe lay on the hospital bed, the painkillers making her feel a little better and also making her drowsy.
The dark blue sky outside was reflected in the window screen as the ward door was pushed open.
The light from the corridor blended with the dim light inside the room, creating a half-light, half-dark atmosphere, where Xu Zhengxi, dressed in a formal suit, stood.
I had official business to attend to in the afternoon and couldn't get away, so I rushed over without stopping.
He walked quietly into the ward, with Si Kangzhu following behind him.
Xu Zhengxi sat down on the edge of the bed and reached out with her long fingers to touch Xu Zhe's forehead.
The sweat on his forehead had dried, but the fine strands of hair still clung to it.
He picked up a strand of hair, brushed it aside, and gently stroked his slightly furrowed brow with his fingertips.
Was it an accident?
Xu Zhengxi lowered his voice and asked Si Kangzhu behind him.
It was an accident.
Si Kangzhu reported in a low voice:
"I asked Miss Zhe, and it was indeed an accidental fall. There were no suspicious people around."
