The department head's shouts echoed in the office, the reverberations colliding and buzzing for quite a while.
First, they framed him for a crime, then threatened him with graduation. The department head believed that this combination was enough to scare a group of college students to death.
Unexpectedly, Su Nan, who looked like a boy, had his bangs moved by the wind he was talking.
She still faced him with a calm and composed demeanor.
How dare she not look him in the eye and stare directly into his gaze? She's really a troublemaker!
The department head, with a stern face, continued to intimidate Su Nan with his eyes. He wanted to see just how tough this troublemaker could get!
The echo finally subsided, and Su Nan calmly began to speak:
“I’m not afraid of making a big fuss. Whoever spreads rumors, slanders, or violates citizens’ privacy online will be held accountable.”
Su Nan made her stance clear, neither humble nor arrogant.
Upon hearing this, Jiang Hehe's mother and the department head composed themselves.
The department head calmed himself down and continued:
"I know you, Su Nan. Aren't you afraid of making a scene? Are you trying to tarnish the school's reputation during this crucial period of Nancheng University's centennial celebration?!"
"How dare you claim you're not afraid of making a scene?! Selfish, morally bankrupt, and utterly irresponsible!"
The shouting and cursing echoed through the office once again.
This time, Su Nan didn't wait for the echo to disappear; she immediately asked:
"Director, have I done anything to smear the school?"
"Starting at 4 p.m. today, several posts about 'Su Nan bullying students at Nancheng University' have been published on the internet and social media."
"This person is the one who truly did something to smear the school during its centennial celebration!"
The department head gritted his teeth and did not answer.
Qiu Ming glared at Jiang Hehe with a sharp look.
Having witnessed the department head's handling of the situation, he understood that this greasy guy wanted to make the three students in room 202 take the blame.
Su Nan didn't receive a reply from the department head, so she continued:
"If the director hasn't found this person yet, I'll find out myself."
The department head scratched his balding head in frustration:
"What are you, a student, investigating? This is a school matter!"
Su Nan said seriously, "This is not just a school matter, it's my matter too!"
"This person publicly disclosed my school, department, name, and other personal information online, and also slandered and spread rumors that I bullied my classmates!"
"Multiple messages have gone viral, with a combined readership exceeding 100,000!"
"It is my right under the law to protect my legitimate rights and interests from infringement. My family and I have collected all relevant information and will absolutely not let this criminal get away with it!"
The volume wasn't loud, but it was resounding and completely outclassed the department head's bluster.
After Su Nan spoke, he looked at Jiang Hehe and his mother.
The mother and son remained silent, their faces equally grim.
The department head sat down with a dark face, his previous harshness in reprimanding the students gone.
Upon hearing Su Nan say that her family had also participated in the evidence collection, and that someone had such a big handle on her, he could no longer use graduation as a threat.
The office fell silent instantly, but Qiu Ming wanted to laugh with smug satisfaction.
His students are truly outstanding!
The other two counselors also gave him a look. Receiving his colleague's approval, Qiu Ming became even more arrogant.
He felt that he could not just be a bystander and take credit for the students' glory; he wanted to contribute to moral education and character building!
Qiu Ming stood up:
“Su Nan, it is your right to protect your legitimate rights from infringement, and it is also the duty of teachers and the school to protect students.”
Su Nan looked at her counselor and suddenly felt a lump in her throat.
Qiu Ming nodded slightly to her and continued:
"Regarding the dormitory dispute, I questioned all the parties involved, as well as the students in dormitories 201 and 203. Yang Huanhuan's account differed significantly from the others."
"Here are the interrogation records and recordings; the director has reviewed them."
As he spoke, he handed the inquiry record to the department head.
The department head, with a sour face, glared at Qiu Ming as he took the transcript.
Qiu Ming was slightly apprehensive, but he remained impartial and upright.
The department head flipped through the notes and then handed them to Jiang Hehe's mother, who was sitting next to him.
As Jiang Hehe's mother flipped through the pages, Jiang Hehe also leaned over.
The more he looked, the angrier he became.
After reading the transcript, Jiang Hehe's mother returned it to the department head and then glanced at Yang Huanhuan.
This Yang Huanhuan always seemed so well-behaved, with a gentle and mild temperament. I never expected that she would be a completely different person from the one described in the statement!
Jiang Hehe's mother was already angry that her son had gotten involved in this mess, and that he had impulsively posted online and bought trending topics.
She rushed to the school and even went to see the department head first, not to support this Huanhuan, but to clean up her son's mess!
The best outcome would be to downplay the matter, give the son a reprimand and education, have his posts deleted, and then the matter would be over.
Unexpectedly, the silly son wouldn't let it go, and Su Nan was no pushover either; she found the post and even kept evidence.
This is a difficult situation.
Thinking of this, Jiang Hehe's mother glanced at Yang Huanhuan again, filled with hatred!
With things having developed to this point, the department head didn't want to get involved any more and wanted to settle the matter by giving equal blame to both sides.
"It's normal for classmates to have conflicts; even family members have conflicts," the department head said.
"You two should apologize to each other. You'll still be studying and living together in the future. Four years of being classmates—take it easy and cherish it."
The three people remained silent, their expressions unchanged, like they were watching a dog on the street, showing no reaction whatsoever.
Jiang Hehe then erupted again:
