Chapter 72 Not One Less

Qiu Ming looked at the person who raised their hand. Hmm, it's not surprising that this person has an opinion.

"What's your opinion? Tell me," Qiu Ming gestured for her to continue.

Su Nan stood up: "Our formation is missing one student who didn't join the team."

Xu Zhe's heart skipped a beat when he heard her words.

He subtly warned Su Nan, "Don't mess with your roommate!"

Su Nan continued, "Xu Zhe was hospitalized before and has not participated in training or joined the team. As for class activities, I think no one should be missed."

Qiu Ming chuckled inwardly; this guy was good at sabotaging his teammates.

"So what is your specific opinion...?" Qiu Ming continued to ask.

"Let Xu Zhe join the team, and he will walk at the front of the team in a wheelchair."

"Her wheelchair is very advanced; it can drive itself and doesn't need anyone to push it from behind."

"This will not only demonstrate the indomitable and determined spirit of us finance students despite our disabilities, but also highlight our class's team spirit of never abandoning any classmate!"

Su Nan rattled off a string of words, leaving Qiu Ming completely bewildered.

"I disagree!" Xu Zhe, standing next to her, chimed in.

Everyone turned to look, realizing that this classmate was the one they remembered the least after so long since the start of the semester.

Xu Zhe felt uncomfortable being stared at, but he still gritted his teeth and tried to save himself the trouble of making a fool of himself.

"The formation performance was planned in advance. The sudden addition of me, especially since I was in a wheelchair, completely ruined the overall effect and clashed with the spirited and energetic demeanor of college students!"

The students laughed and whispered among themselves.

Qiu Ming clapped his hands twice to signal everyone to be quiet.

"How about this, let's vote."

Xu Zhe's heart skipped a beat again. Why should she vote? Was what she said unreasonable?

Qiu Ming continued, "Raise your hand if you agree with Su Nan's suggestion to let Xu Zhe join the performance team."

After a rustling sound, Xu Zhe glanced around and saw that, apart from Jiang and Yang in the corner of the classroom, all the students had raised their hands...

Xu Zhe was speechless. These people, since the conspicuous bag wasn't theirs, didn't they care about the lives of others...?

Qiu Ming couldn't help but smile; his students all had a great team spirit!

"Since more than half of the students agree, Xu Zhe, you can participate in the rehearsal tomorrow. You can drive your wheelchair at the front of the group and keep up with the leader's pace."

"teacher......"

Xu Zhe wanted to offer his opinion.

Qiu Ming announced directly: "Class meeting adjourned."

Xu Zhe: "......"

Su Nan called out to her, "What are you standing there for? Go to the cafeteria and grab some food!"

Xu Zhe: "......"

This guy scammed someone and then acted like nothing happened—truly like his father!

The three of them walked out of the classroom. It was the peak time for people to leave the teaching building after the last class.

Xu Zhe's wheelchair was inconvenient, and by the time they left the teaching building, those who were faster than them were already on their way to the cafeteria.

Bei Xiaoyu was so anxious that her glasses kept shaking:

"No way! At this speed, everything will be cold by then!"

"Xu Zhe, give me your car, I'll drive to the cafeteria to buy groceries first!"

The boiled beef and fried chicken cutlets, which are available in limited quantities at the third canteen, are the three girls' favorites!

Xu Zhe immediately stood up, leaning on his crutch: "Okay, go quickly!"

Su Nan helped Xu Zhe up and said solemnly to Bei Xiaoyu, "I'm counting on you!"

Bearing a heavy responsibility, Bei Xiaoyu sat firmly in her wheelchair and moved forward at full speed, quickly overtaking many people.

Xu Zhe and Su Nan were relieved. One of them walked away on crutches, while the other followed to support him.

After walking a short distance from the teaching building, someone blocked their way.

"Miss Zhe."

It's Secretary Chen.

"Hello, Su Nan." Secretary Chen greeted Su Nan.

Su Nan responded politely.

Xu Zhe glanced at Secretary Chen and inexplicably felt that the visitor had ill intentions.

Sure enough, Secretary Chen said to Su Nan, "I've come to pick her up and take her home."

Su Nan released Xu Zhe: "See you tomorrow."

Su Nan said to Secretary Chen, "Goodbye."

After saying that, he turned around and chased after Bei Xiaoyu without looking back.

Xu Zhe: "......"

Secretary Chen: "Where's your wheelchair?"

Xu Zhe: "I borrowed it from a classmate."

Secretary Chen: "Your classmate is injured?"

Xu Zhe shook his head: "She can get food faster in the cafeteria by using a wheelchair."

Secretary Chen was sweating profusely. Why are all college students these days acting so strangely?

Their mental health is much worse than it was back then.

"Let's go, the car is in that parking lot over there." Secretary Chen gestured to the official car not far away.

Xu Zhe didn't think much of it, assuming that Secretary Chen was instructed by Xu Zhengxi to come and pick her up.

She leaned on her cane and followed him step by step toward the parking lot.

When he arrived at the car, Xu Zhe was in a dilemma.

This car doesn't have the wheelchair assist function that our family's nanny van has.

Just as she was figuring out how to get in the car, the back door opened.

A familiar, tall figure stepped out of the car, and before Xu Zhe could react, he was swept up in his arms.
