Chapter 80 Xu Zhengxi's Perfect Match

Si Kangzhu remained silent the whole way, and Xu Zhe didn't dare to ask any more questions.

She checked her phone; there were over a dozen missed calls. Some were from Xu Zhengxi, some from Secretary Chen, and some from Si Kangzhu.

It seems they searched for her all over campus.

When they arrived at the parking lot, Xu Zhe saw the van, waiting alone under the midday sun.

Si Kangzhu led the person closer, and the door of the nanny van opened automatically.

Xu Zhe glanced at the person in the back seat, but dared not speak.

Based on the time of 11 o'clock, Xu Zhengxi had been waiting for an hour and a half.

The accessible ramp slowly descended, and Mr. Wu came over to help Xu Zhe secure his wheelchair.

No one spoke; the atmosphere was very tense.

Just then, someone called out from not far away: "Zhengxi".

Xu Zhe turned his head and saw Principal Dai walking over.

Beside him was a girl dressed simply, with shoulder-length black hair and glasses.

As the two approached, Principal Dai complained to Xu Zhengxi inside the car:

"I came back and saw your car. It's still there?"

"I asked you to have dinner with me, but you didn't go. You've been here for ages."

"Huh? Is this Xu Zhe?"

Principal Dai saw Xu Zhe by the car door; the little girl's bottom looked much prettier after being washed.

"Hello, Principal Dai!"

Xu Zhe greeted her politely, then nodded and smiled at the girl next to him.

The girl kept staring at Xu Zhe even before she got close. Her woman's intuition told her that this man was no ordinary student or young teacher.

“Principal Dai.” Xu Zhengxi got out of the car.

Xu Zhe watched silently from the side.

Xu Zhengxi nodded slightly to the woman, without exchanging glances.

But the woman's eyes never left Xu Zhengxi's face from the moment he got out of the car.

His eyes seemed to be lit up, shining brightly and chaotically through his glasses!

"I called you to dinner saying I had something to do, but it turns out you were waiting here to pick up your sister," Principal Dai teased him.

"Sister?" Xu Zhe smiled at Principal Dai.

“Xu Zhe, your brother is the most responsible brother I have ever met. He became a father and mother at such a young age, and in the blink of an eye you are already a college student.”

Principal Dai exchanged pleasantries, but it was also his honest opinion: after the boy's grandfather passed away, he had indeed been taking care of the child with him.

Xu Zhe grinned foolishly at Principal Dai again, glancing at the woman's expression. His smile was superficial, but his eyes were still glued to Xu Zhengxi's face.

She turned to look at Xu Zhengxi again, and wow, his face was so cold.

What are you doing? Aren't you happy that Principal Dai praised you?

“Xu Zhe and I are not siblings,” Xu Zhengxi said.

This stunned Xu Zhe. For the dignified Xu Zhe to utter such words sounded like a primary school student furrowing his brow and hastily explaining something—utterly immature...

“Xu Zhe is my family member, but we are not legally related,” Xu Zhengxi continued.

"Do you dare say it's someone you share a bed with?" Xu Zhe retorted inwardly.

“Uh…” Principal Dai’s forehead wrinkles reappeared. Why take it so seriously when it’s just a friendly greeting?

"You're leaving, right? Shuning, take your car and send her home."

Principal Dai changed the subject, taking the opportunity to carry out the task assigned to him by the Pei and Jiang families once again.

Shu Ning? Xu Zhe suddenly realized, Jiang Shu Ning!

When she looked at her again, her features were delicate and her profile was without sharp edges. She was dressed in a clean and neat manner, exuding a scholarly air.

Jiang XX's granddaughter is a perfect match for Xu Zhengxi!

"Okay," Xu Zhengxi agreed.

Xu Zhe silently lowered his head, but then noticed Jiang Shuning's slender ankles and her tasteful shoes.

Looking at her sneakers with several large black marks from being stepped on, she felt ashamed.

"We need to put a wheelchair in the back seat, so you can sit in the front." Xu Zhengxi offered to open the car door for Jiang Shuning, but he opened the passenger door instead.

Principal Dai and Jiang Shuning were both stunned when they saw it.

Jiang Shuning smiled, didn't keep Xu Zhengxi waiting long, thanked him, and got into the car.

Principal Dai gave him a reproachful look, "Is this how you give someone a ride? Separating them from the others and making the girl sit in the front passenger seat by herself?!"

In other words, Shuning has a good temper and is well-mannered!

Principal Dai was so angry that his forehead wrinkles deepened.

Xu Zhengxi asked Master Wu to put away the accessible step, then walked to the wheelchair, bent down and picked Xu Zhe up in his arms.

Xu Zhe was still immersed in his inferiority complex when he was suddenly suspended in mid-air, which startled him greatly.

"Xu Zhengxi!"

She couldn't control herself and started yelling at him as usual.

Principal Dai was startled by her; the little girl was so fierce?

Jiang Shuning looked over and saw that Xu Zhengxi was actually holding Xu Zhe?!

She bit her lower lip, her eyes filled with coldness and disbelief, making even her glasses lenses appear icy.

Xu Zhengxi settled Xu Zhe in, said goodbye to Principal Dai, and then got into the car from the other side.

The car door closed, and the van started moving smoothly.

Xu Zhe looked out the window and caught a glimpse of Jiang Shuning in the passenger seat, glancing at her through the side mirror.

Suddenly I remembered the little incident in the cafeteria earlier. She was watching the commotion and complaining that they hadn't kissed yet. Now karma has come back to bite her.

Xu Zhe gave a self-deprecating smile.

In Jiang Shuning's eyes, however, it had a different meaning.

She couldn't stand being mocked by her sister-in-law, with whom she had no legal relationship!

Jiang Shuning turned her head, her voice soft and sweet:

"Zhengxi~"
