Chapter 5 Let her run to give the little guy a bath
Jiang Tang endured the pain in his arms, his palms red and burning with pain, and insisted on going back and forth several times before he filled the water tank in the yard.
With my hands on my hips, I looked at the cleaning work inside and outside the house. My legs couldn't help but go weak and I almost collapsed to the ground.
He propped himself up and walked towards the kitchen, searched everywhere inside and out, and sighed heavily. There was not even any detergent in the house. He squatted down resignedly, found a box of used matches from the stove, and grabbed a handful of dry hay.
He struck a match to light the dry hay and looked at the sparks seriously.
She was familiar with making fire as she lived in the village when she was a child, but she hadn't made a fire for a long time, so she was extra careful.
He picked up some dry branches nearby, broke them and placed them on the dry grass, and a fire was soon lit.
She used a wooden stick to lift up the tripod next to her, stood up and put the iron pot on the stove onto the tripod, looking at Qin Chuyang who was staring at the fire next to her.
"Chuyang, don't get close to the fire."
After saying this, he turned around and went out to get some water without caring about the other party's reaction.
Qin Chuyang looked at his bad sister-in-law's back and pursed his lips.
Jiang Tang scooped water again and again until the pot was full of water.
There is no detergent at home, so I can only use hot water to boil the pots and bowls several times to wash them as clean as possible.
The water couldn't boil for a while, so she turned back to the room, took a deep breath, found a square handkerchief to use as a mask, rolled up her sleeves and began to clean up the original owner's dirty and messy room.
Open the windows for ventilation first.
There were spider webs of all sizes on the beams and walls of the entire house. The stone brick walls were all gray and the ground was completely compacted.
She first took out the wooden bed, picked up the heavy quilt and walked out of the room, then laboriously spread the quilt out to dry.
After returning to the room, Jiang Tang saw Qin Chuyang sticking his head out to look inside. He frowned and said, "Chuyang, the room is too dusty. Stay away from it."
Qin Chuyang snorted and ran to the dormitory with his short legs.
Jiang Tang shouted at the boy's back, "Don't get close to the fire."
Then she clapped her hands and continued to remove the sheets. The bottom layer was made of straw tied with straw rope and spread on the wooden board of the bed. When the sunlight fell on the bed, she could see obvious dust.
Jiang Tang also carried Cao Jue out of the house.
Then he sorted out the original owner's dry clothes, put them into the old box, and moved the box out.
Clear out everything in the house.
The room was already empty. She fetched a basin of water and sprinkled some water inside, then picked up a bamboo broom from the yard and went into the house.
Starting from the ceiling beams, she picked up the broom and swept down the dust and cobwebs on the beams, and swept the dust on the walls to the ground. The remaining cabinets and a shabby table in the room were all covered with dust, and she swept them clean one by one. She also swept the wooden bed with the bamboo broom.
During this time, Qin Chuyang went back and forth several times, and shouted to her, "The water is ready, don't burn the pot," and he looked very angry.
Jiang Tangteng took some time to throw all the pots, bowls, and utensils in the kitchen into an iron basin and soak them in hot water, then he heated up another pot of water.
She continued to clean the house. The dust in the room was not so big after she sprinkled water on it. After Jiang Tang swept it reluctantly, she put the broom at the door, brought a basin of clean water into the house, and laboriously scrubbed the only cabinets and tables in the house clean, and finally wiped the wooden bed clean.
After changing basins of water one after another, the few pieces of furniture in the room were finally clean.
Jiang Tang picked up the broom and swept the dirty floor clean, then opened the doors and windows to continue ventilating.
The sun was setting outside the yard, and it took a long time just to clean one room. She went into the kitchen without taking a break, and saw the little guy sitting on a pony stool, staring at the fire without blinking, with a flint in his little hand.
When he saw her come in, the boy dropped the fire tongs, put his hands behind his back and stood away from the fire.
Jiang Tang didn't say anything. He walked into the room and saw the bowls soaked in hot water in the pot. He sat on a stool and started washing the dishes. He washed all the pots, bowls, and pans in the kitchen with hot water several times before he considered them clean.
I stood up and started to clean the room inside and out, and wiped the dishes clean.
Finally, Jiang Tang wiped all the benches and chairs in the house with hot water to make sure that the chairs would not be dirty and shiny again, and he breathed a sigh of relief.
After cleaning his own room and a workroom, the sky outside the yard was already filled with dark clouds.
When I was about to cook, I remembered that I had bought five pounds of pork fat and needed to refine it.
Looking down at Qin Chuyang squatting at the door without saying a word, Jiang Tang felt a little guilty, "Chuyang, are you hungry?"
If I had known it would take so long, I wouldn't have said that to Auntie Tian this morning. Maybe the kid would have already had his meal by now.
The young man stared at her and shook his head.
Jiang Tang was a little surprised, but still said, "Hold on a little longer, we can have dinner after the oil is refined."
She quickly took the pork lard out of the basket, washed it clean, and then cut it into pieces neatly. She also washed some green onions and ginger and put them together with the pork lard to remove the peculiar smell of the pork lard.
Place the wok on a tripod, pour in clean water, put the pork fat into the water and blanch it. When the water starts to boil, blanch it for one minute and then remove the pork fat.
Add a small bowl of water to the pot, put the blanched pork fat into the pot and start to render the oil over medium-low heat.
After all the water has evaporated, pour the ginger and garlic into the pot, sauté the pork fat, then add a small amount of salt. The rich aroma will fill the house.
Qin Chuyang couldn't help but move his little nose, his big eyes couldn't help but look into the fragrant pot, and he couldn't help swallowing his saliva.
Jiang Tang stared at the pot. When the oil residue in the pot turned golden yellow, he turned off the fire and took out a small earthenware jar from the cupboard.
When the oil temperature is not too high, scoop the refined lard into the clay pot to get a small pot of oil.
Jiang Tang put the lard on the clean stove as he would use it later.
He took another large bowl and put the oil residue into it.
He picked up a small piece of golden oil residue, blew it gently, and said to Qin Chuyang with a smile, "Chuyang, come and taste it."
She doesn't like to eat it, but maybe the little guy likes it.
Qin Chuyang was holding onto the doorpost, looking at the bad sister-in-law with suspicion. When he saw the gentle smile on her face, he couldn't help but walk over with his short legs.
Jiang Tang directly fed the oil residue into his mouth and asked with his head lowered, "How does it taste? Is it delicious?"
Qin Chuyang chewed the fragrant fried food in his mouth, sniffed, and said nothing.
He didn't say anything, but Jiang Tang could see that the kid didn't hate the oil residue. She breathed a sigh of relief and said with a smile, "This bowl of oil residue will be given to Chu Yang."
After saying this, she put down her chopsticks, brought in the basket outside, and put all the things she bought in the morning into the cupboard one by one.
Didn't I see the little guy staring at her back with his big eyes.
Qin Chuyang never thought that his bad sister-in-law would give him delicious oil residue to eat and said that all the oil residue belonged to him. Was he dreaming?
Jiang Tang didn't notice the boy's eyes. She picked up the rice pot and started cooking. She first washed a bowl of rice and put the rice pot on the fire to cook.
She originally planned to steam it, as she was afraid she wouldn't be able to control the heat if she cooked it over an open fire. However, it was too late today, so she had to boil it first.
While the rice was cooking, Jiang Tang washed the only pound of lean meat, chopped it into minced meat and put it in the bowl.
He took out the tofu, washed it, and then sat on a small stool to start picking green beans.
She planned to stir-fry some green beans and some tomato and minced meat with tofu.
After frying the minced meat, put it in a bowl for later use. There is only a little bit of meaty smell at home, so be frugal and just add a little meat flavor.
Jiang Tang was a little dazed. She had never worried about food before, but now she felt like crying but had no tears.
After the rice started to bubble up, Jiang Tang brought the pot to the fire and slowly warmed it up. He then heated up some oil in the pot, fried the minced meat and put it into a bowl, then stir-fried some green beans.
The fragrant aroma of minced meat and the fresh fragrance of green beans filled the kitchen with a delicious smell.
The dish was quickly cooked, and Jiang Tang brought the green beans to the clean dining table.
Start making minced meat and tofu. Heat the oil pan. Put the tomatoes that have been rinsed with hot water and peeled into the pan. Stir-fry the tomato juice little by little. Then add a small amount of water, a small amount of minced meat, and finally the tofu. Cover the pot and simmer on medium-low heat for a few minutes.
Open the lid of the pot and add the seasoning. The overbearing aroma wafts out and the sour taste of tomatoes makes your mouth water.
Qin Chuyang kept swallowing his saliva. The food cooked by his bad sister-in-law was so delicious. The food cooked in a pot was not as delicious. And the food cooked by his mother when she was at home was not as delicious as that cooked by his bad sister-in-law.
When Qin Chuyang's stomach smelled the fragrance, it didn't give its owner any face and kept rumbling.
Qin Chuyang covered his belly with his hands, his face was red, and secretly looked at the bad sister-in-law. He couldn't let the bad sister-in-law find out.
He didn't know whether she would send him any food.
Jiang Tang heard the boy's stomach growling, but she didn't point it out. Instead, she quickly brought the dishes to the table, put the cooked rice on the stove, took out a small bowl from the cupboard, opened the rice pot, and saw the rice was white and bright inside. She breathed a sigh of relief, thankfully it wasn't burnt.
He poured a bowl for himself and Qin Chuyang, sat at the table, handed the bowl to Qin Chuyang, and whispered, "You must be hungry. It's too late today. Eat quickly."
After saying that, he scooped a spoonful of tomato, minced meat and tofu into the kid's bowl. This dish is fresh and delicious, easy to chew and digest, and suitable for children.
The mist in the bowl rose and filled Qin Chuyang's eyes. His eyes were misty and he said nothing. He just blinked quickly, staring at the delicious food in front of him and eating clumsily with chopsticks.
His mouth was filled with delicious food. He had never eaten anything so delicious before. The fragrant buns he had at noon were not as good as the food made by his bad sister-in-law.
After a tiring day, Jiang Tang was hungry. She picked up a piece of green beans with chopsticks and ate slowly, watching the little guy's head almost buried in the bowl.
Thinking of something, Jiang Tang put the oil residue on the stove on the table and picked up a piece of it for the little guy.
Qin Chuyang did not refuse and ate whatever she picked up.
Seeing that he didn't take the initiative to pick up his chopsticks, Jiang Tang picked up some food for the boy.
Jiang Tang put down her chopsticks after she finished eating. Qin Chuyang saw her put down her chopsticks and couldn't help but speed up his eating.
Jiang Tang frowned, "Chuyang, eat slowly, there is still rice in the pot, you have to eat until you are full."
Qin Chuyang didn't say anything. He finished the rice in the bowl, put down his chopsticks, jumped off the stool and ran out.
Jiang Tang shouted, "Qin Chuyang!"
The young man at the door shuddered, turned around and lowered his head.
Jiang Tang relaxed his voice, "Don't run outside, I'll help you bathe later."
The boy nodded his head dejectedly, turned around and ran to the gate of the yard.
Jiang Tang looked at the young man strangely, frowned, and said nothing.
After washing the dishes, I walked out of the yard and saw the little guy sitting on the doorstep, but I didn't call him.
She began to move all the things at the door into the room. She went back and forth several times, re-made the bed, and changed the sheets and quilt covers. Jiang Tang knocked on the made bed, but it was still hard. She doubted whether she could sleep tonight.
It's so hard that my hand hurt a little when I knocked on the wood just now.
The dirty sheets and quilt covers were thrown into the yard.
The water in the kitchen was heated up, Jiang Tang took the wooden basin and called to the boy sitting on the doorstep, "Chuyang, come and take a bath."
The boy froze, still not believing that his bad sister-in-law wanted to give him a bath, but he still turned back and went into the kitchen obediently, whispering, "I don't want you to wash me, I'll wash it for you."
Jiang Tang adjusted the water temperature and rejected it directly, "No, you can't even undress yourself now. If the water spills, the bathroom will be full of water and I will have to clean it up again."
Qin Chuyang lowered his head silently without saying a word.
Fortunately, when Jiang Tang pulled his little hand, the little guy did not refuse.
After Jiang Tang took off the boy's clothes and put him into the basin, he wet a towel and prepared to wipe his face. He saw traces of dried tears on his dark yellow face.
The little wolf cub, who had wrapped himself up to look ferocious, secretly had red eyes.
Jiang Tang paused, and seeing that the kid didn't look her in the eye, she said nothing, put the towel on the kid's face, and began to rub his body.
She didn't use soap the first time, and rubbed a lot of black mud all over the little guy.
Qin Chuyang stood in the wooden basin, staring blankly at his sister-in-law in front of him. His bad sister-in-law was so gentle. He must be having a wonderful dream.
After Jiang Tang rubbed the little guy's skin and poured water, she applied the soap used by the original owner on Qin Chuyang. Qin Chuyang's body was covered with fragrant bubbles.
His nose twitched, it smelled sweet; he had never taken a bath with such white soap before.
The bad sister-in-law is so gentle.
After Jiang Tang washed the boy from head to toe, he wiped his head half-dry with a dry towel.
Qin Chuyang was placed naked on a chair by her. "When your hair is dry, I'll carry you to sleep."
He sat in the chair in a daze, forgetting to resist and forgetting to imitate his brother and be vicious to his sister-in-law.
Jiang Tang picked up his dirty clothes, carried his pony and sat next to the water vat in the yard. He couldn't find any detergent, but he picked up a piece of dry and cracked sulfur soap.
Started to wash the little guy's clothes laboriously.
The bad sister-in-law even washed his clothes, even though she obviously disliked that his clothes were dirty. Looking at Jiang Cui who was sitting on a small stool and washing clothes seriously, Qin Chuyang wiped his eyes.
Jiang Tang washed the boy's clothes, and then used a broken brush to clean his dirty shoes and hung them up.
The weather is hot enough now, so she should be able to wear it tomorrow. The other clothes can only be washed tomorrow, which is too late, and she is too tired to move.
The boy's hair was already dry. Jiang Tang went over, took him into his arms, and carried him into his room.
The person holding him was warm and fragrant. Qin Chuyang was put down and found himself in the bad sister-in-law's room. He frowned and said, "I want to sleep in Ji Ji's room."
Jiang Tang frowned, "You and your brother's room is not cleaned up yet, you can sleep there by yourself tomorrow."
Qin Chuyang frowned and was about to get out of bed. Jiang Tang spoke up, "I finally cleaned you up, Qin Chuyang. Do you want to be a dirty kid? Your brother will definitely dislike you."
The young fellow was stunned, snorted, turned over and lay down in the sweet-smelling quilt, sniffing secretly with nostalgia.
Jiang Tang chuckled, picked up her pajamas and went out, after taking a shower she closed the bedroom door, returned to the room, stared at the small lump on the bed, and slept outside.
I stared at the dim beams with my eyes wide open, my back against the hard bed, and the first day here passed like this. My emotions were running wild in the dark space.
So tired.
She doesn't want to be someone else.
I really want to go back.
The girl buried her big tears in the pillow and closed her eyes with sobs.
In a brick factory 10 kilometers outside the county town, Qin Xiao was sleeping on a large floor. The man had a buzz cut, cold and hard features, and a strong body. He was leaning against the wall, and the sounds of snoring and grinding of teeth could be heard one after another in his ears.
Wang Qilei beside him whispered, "Brother Xiao, are you comfortable letting Chuyang stay with that woman? It's obvious that she's not someone who can live a peaceful life. Aren't you afraid that she'll run away?"
The man scoffed, "Let her run."
Wang Qilei said anxiously, "She ran away, what should Chuyang do?"
Qin Xiao held the back of his head with his hands, thinking of the obviously restless woman, and said in a cold and hard voice, "It's okay, I'll ask Aunt Tian to help watch over it."
If that woman wanted to run away, she could run away. He wouldn't care as long as she didn't hurt his brother.
