The police arrived quickly. This area belonged to the Jiangdu North Suburb Police Station. The police who came obviously knew the man and frowned. This guy never made big mistakes, but kept making small ones. He was busy with trivial matters all day long. What's more, the people living in this area were more or less related to him. When they saw him, they knew that he would be in trouble again today.
The filming could not continue, but because it involved two artists, Tian Wenbo drove everyone else away, leaving only Yan Zi and Bai Rong, their agents and assistants. The only ones left in the crew were Tian Wenbo and the producer in charge of the extras.
The two policemen first took stock of the situation. Now that there were no outsiders around, Bai Rong first recounted her experience, and Yan Zi then added what had happened since she arrived.
The man who was still lying on the ground was not happy with it. He kept interrupting the two people, saying that these stars were bullying ordinary people and kept saying that he was innocent.
The taller of the two policemen couldn't stand it any longer and shouted, "Liao Si, we'll find out what happened. We're questioning you about the case now, so shut up. Speak again when we ask you."
It wasn't a complicated matter. Bai Rong was familiarizing herself with the script and rehearsing a scene by herself. At first, she saw Liao Si approaching from a distance, but the road was wide and she was standing on the sidelines, so she didn't pay much attention.
As a result, Liao Si walked closer and closer. When he got close to her, he pretended to stretch and rubbed his elbow across her chest.
Then the two of them argued, and the man denied it and was about to leave. Then Yan Zi came out of the locker room, stopped him and put him back in.
After taking the statement, the two men began questioning Liao Si. Liao Si had a different story. He said he was just tired and wanted to stretch his legs. Bai Rong had bumped into him, and he didn't want to offend these celebrities, so he was about to leave. Then Yan Zi came over and blocked him. He didn't pay any attention, but Yan Zi suddenly attacked and put him down.
After both sides finished speaking, the tall policeman frowned. In this kind of situation, they all claimed to be right. Even though they knew that Liao Si was not a good person, they couldn't convict him based on his usual behavior when handling the case, right?
"Is there any surveillance camera around here?" another short policeman asked Tian Wenbo.
Tian Wenbo shook his head. This was originally a school that had already moved. Their film had many campus scenes, so they chose this location. The locker room was in a corner of the playground. Originally, there were no surveillance cameras, and even if the school had moved, they would have definitely removed it if possible.
The crew only had less than a month to shoot here, so it was impossible to install surveillance cameras in such a remote place.
Without surveillance, things would be even more troublesome. The only evidence now is the stain on the chest of Bai Rong's clothes.
Liao Si was originally a background tool in the play, playing a roadside worker with no lines and wearing a dirty work suit.
The stain on the work clothes did match the one on Bai Rong's clothes, but Liao Si had just said that Bai Rong had bumped into it herself.
Liao Si also knew that there was no surveillance nearby, so he was so bold. Now that he saw there was no evidence, he became even more arrogant. He lay on the ground and just said that his back hurt, demanding a physical examination and compensation.
He's really taken advantage of these celebrities. Just now, when he said he'd go to the police station, they refused because the police station is crowded and full of gossips, and they were afraid this would get out.
If I go to the hospital, I would probably be even more afraid to go. Once I get in, I just have to scream at the top of my lungs, saying that I was beaten by a celebrity. Then naturally, many people who don't know the truth will stand on my side.
The situation suddenly became a dilemma. Going to the hospital for a medical examination was not possible, and compensation was certainly not an option. That was two hundred thousand, not a small amount.
Who would pay for this? Bai Rong was the victim, and Yan Zi was the one who bravely stood up for justice. Should the crew pay for it? The producer who agreed to let him be an extra must be regretting it now. He should have spent more money to bribe him and never let him join the crew.
Tian Wenbo's face was livid. Filming had already been rough, and now this had happened. He didn't know who to direct his anger at. Bai Rong, Yan Zi was right, and so was the producer. This sort of thing was condoned by the crew.
Just when everyone was at a loss, there was a sudden buzzing sound above their heads. Looking up, they saw a helicopter flying over the crew.
No one paid much attention at first. There were helicopters flying over here from time to time, but the noise became louder and louder, and the helicopters landed directly on the playground.
When the plane stopped, everyone realized that it was actually a large medical helicopter. Four people in white coats came down from it, dragging several instruments towards Feng Xiaoyun and the others.
The crew looked at each other in bewilderment. What was going on? Why were there helicopters and so many doctors? That scoundrel was lying on the ground, groaning, but he looked so full of life, he didn't look injured at all.
"Hello, we are from Jishi Private Hospital. We heard that someone here needs a medical examination." The leading doctor shook hands with the tall policeman.
The tall policeman was bewildered. What was going on? A scoundrel came by helicopter to examine his injuries?
He knew of Jishi Private Hospital, Jiangdu's premier private hospital. While it couldn't claim to be a complete cure for all diseases, its medical facilities were undoubtedly among the best in the country. Many patients with difficult and complicated illnesses from other places, as long as they had the money, would choose to come to Jiangdu's Jishi for treatment. It was arguably the last hope for many.
"This is our work badge. May I ask who needs a physical examination?" The leading doctor pointed to his chest. The four doctors were from different departments: one in surgery, one in orthopedics, one in neurology, and one in sports trauma. Judging from their titles, they were all attending physicians.
