Chapter 52: Yan Zi smashes the camera in anger

"Okay, okay, I'm afraid of you. If anything happens, call me. Remember, don't make decisions rashly. Everything needs my approval."

"I know, I know, I'm very good, go ahead."

Sister Chen went over and exchanged a few words with the Chinese man. She found out that he was the staff member in charge of translation and coordination. They were just shooting an indoor video advertisement, so there was no need for her to watch over it herself. She nodded to Yan Zi and went out.

There were a few Europeans doing makeup, lighting, props, and photography, and there should have been a fat old man who was the director.

The fat old man directed the makeup artist to put makeup on Yan Zi, and then began to set up the scene with lights, props, etc.

While putting on makeup, Yan Zi glanced over there. It seemed like a dining scene, because there was a dining table facing the camera, with a tablecloth on it and some plates and so on.

Really, if these people had said they were going to take pictures of eating, there would have been no need to ask Sister Chen to go out and buy some food. They would definitely have prepared a lot of food.

Soon the scene was set up over there and the makeup was done here. Yan Zi looked at herself in the makeup artist's mirror and frowned slightly.

The makeup looked weird. Her facial curves were originally soft, but it was made to look very three-dimensional. She herself felt that it didn't look good and looked a bit weird, but thinking that this might be her style, she couldn't say anything more.

Sitting at the dining table, there was a piece of pizza on the plate. It smelled quite delicious. Yan Zi, who was not very hungry, felt his mouth watering.

The translator just told her that the name of this advertisement is "Pick up your chopsticks and eat", which is intended to express Duban Fashion's willingness to enter China.

Sit down as instructed by the director and look at the camera with a smile on your face.

"Ike OK!"

Yan Zi reached out and picked up the chopsticks on the side, then picked up the pizza.

"Card!"

The director yelled from behind, and then started talking incoherently to the translator.

The translator nodded and came over to Yan Zi and said, "That's not the case, Miss Yan Zi. They want you to pretend you're not familiar with using chopsticks. Take one in each hand and pick up the pizza with the fork."

"Why?" Yan Zi asked puzzledly.

"The director said this was to show that they had just arrived in China and were unfamiliar with everything, and wanted to work hard to adapt to Chinese culture."

"It's incomprehensible!" Yan Zi muttered to himself. Instead of using the chopsticks, he used them as forks. However, on the set, people naturally did whatever the director said.

During the second shoot, Yan Zi did what the director said, then got stuck on two lines, and after some adjustments, he finally passed.

Then Yan Zi didn't get to eat a single bite of the pizza, and his plate was replaced with another fried sweet roll.

The translator just said that you have to eat three different foods in the same way, so this time Yan Zi followed the same method as the first time and passed it in one go.

Then the third time he ate a plate of pasta, and he still used chopsticks to awkwardly roll up the noodles and eat them. This time Yan Zi got something to eat, but the taste was really not that good.

However, the actor's professionalism allowed her to complete the filming perfectly.

"Okay, thank you Miss Yan Zi, this shoot is over." The translator said to Yan Zi.

"Don't you need any lines?" Yan Zi asked as he walked behind the director to see how the filming was going.

"Let me ask." The translator didn't know how to shoot this advertisement, but since Yan Zi asked, he turned to ask the director.

"The director said there's no need to add any lines, as there will be Chinese narration later. If you're willing to help, you can record it for them, or they can find someone else to do it."

"Okay, then I'll help them record it." Sister Chen hadn't come back anyway, and Yan Zi thought that he had already filmed the commercial, and the commercial was so short, so recording a narration wouldn't be a big deal.

The translator said a few words and handed over a script.

Yan Zi took it with a smile and started reading, but after reading only two sentences, his brows furrowed and his face turned cold.

"What's this narration?" Yan Zi slapped the script on the translator's chest. "What do you mean by using these two little stick-like cutlery?"

"Even if they don't understand, they shouldn't say anything. These chopsticks are round at the top and square at the bottom, representing the roundness of the sky and the eternity of the earth."

"The name of chopsticks also means a happy life." These were told to her by Chen Mei while she was eating when she was very young, and she can still remember them now.

"Do you know that this is a reflection of our Chinese culture? How can we describe it with a tableware that looks like two small sticks? And the following content, I think it is very inappropriate!"

Looking at Yan Zi's righteous expression, the translator smiled bitterly and said, "These are the lines they wrote. It has nothing to do with me. I will tell them your thoughts."

After saying that, the translator turned around and spoke seriously to the director.

Then he looked at Yan Zi with an unpleasant expression: "They said that if you don't want to record this narration, you can leave and they will find someone else to record it."

"Then tell them to delete all the footage I just filmed. Whoever wants to film it can go ahead and do it."

The translator translated this sentence, but it caused the other party to burst into laughter.

"They said no, you were paid and now your job is done, they want you to leave."

"Can you translate swear words?" Yan Zi asked the translator.

"Ah? What?" The translator was stunned, then replied subconsciously: "Yes!"

"Then tell them, go to hell!" After saying that, Yan Zi took a step forward, walked around the director from behind, lifted the camera and smashed it to the ground.
