Chapter 91 Snatching the Big Fish

"Ah Hai, look at their service standards. What does it mean to put the boss first? This is the boss being considered in everything. The boss doesn't have to worry about anything. This 1,500 yuan is really well spent."

Watching the staff members' backs as they walked away, Bai Yu and Wang Hai started chatting.

Now that the fish has been caught and Wang Hai's fishing rod has been brought over, there's no need for Wang Hai to go back to his previous fishing spot. He can just cast his line next to Bai Yu.

"Yeah, Brother Yu's service is really good, and the fishing spots they found are also great. It hasn't been long, and you and Brother Tao have each caught a big fish."

I wonder if red snapper is any good; we don't think we've ever had it before.

As Wang Hai spoke, he licked his lips, clearly looking forward to seeing Zhang Hongyu.

Bai Yu said he was already used to Wang Hai's erratic thinking, jumping from the other party's service to the big fish, and then to the food.

"Forget about that red octopus from earlier. But if you really want to try it, when we get back, let's find a restaurant that sells red octopus, and I'll take you there for a meal, how about that?"

"Okay, thank you, Brother Yu."

Why did Wang Hai steer the conversation away from food? It was simply to get Bai Yu to take him out for a good meal. In his eyes, the only things in this world that couldn't be missed were Brother Yu and delicious food; everything else was just fluff.

Since Bai Yu had already agreed, he naturally agreed without hesitation.

Speaking of this red octopus, not only Wang Hai wants to try it, but Bai Yu also wants to try it.

The main reason is that Bai Yu has never eaten red octopus before. He had only seen red octopus at Uncle Sun's hotel before, but those were live red octopus kept in an aquarium.

The red croaker, also known as the red amberjack, mainly lives in the deep ocean and is a type of deep-sea fish. In the past, Bai Yu only went beachcombing, so he didn't have much contact with it.

Putting aside the red snapper, Bai Yu picked out a larger, fatter squid from the pile of squid, hooked it, and cast his second line of the day.

This is the second cast of bottom fishing for big fish; the previous squid fishing is not included in this count.

However, the result of the second cast was not very satisfactory. Bai Yu waited for nearly half an hour before finally catching a barracuda weighing several kilograms.

After seeing the catch of the second cast, Bai Yu glanced at the time; it was already one o'clock in the morning.

Seeing that it was getting late, Bai Yu and the others decided not to continue fishing. It was about time to rest, otherwise they might not have the energy to go fishing tomorrow.

Thinking this in his heart, Bai Yu did just that.

"Ah Hai, it's getting late. Let's pack up and go home to rest. We can continue fishing tomorrow morning."

"Okay, I'll do whatever you say, Brother Yu."

After Bai Yu finished fishing, Wang Hai also put his fishing rod back in.

While Wang Hai was reeling in his line, Bai Yu went to the stern and spoke to Li Shuang and Lu Sheng.

Tonight, apart from Bai Yu catching a large amberjack, the other three only had average catches. They didn't come back empty-handed, but they also didn't catch any fish weighing over ten pounds.

That's why, when Bai Yu said to pack up and rest, the two of them also put away their fishing rods.

If the catch were good, there would be no problem with them staying up all night to fish, but the current result is only so-so, and they haven't caught a single big fish, so they're not very interested in staying up all night to fish.

After returning to their cabin, Bai Yu and the other three washed up briefly before heading to the crew quarters to sleep and rest.

Nothing was said that night.

After an unknown amount of time, just as Bai Yu felt the bed beneath her swaying, she sat up abruptly, looking around in a daze.

"Damn, I forgot I was on a fishing boat. It's only six o'clock! Why is the fishing boat moving at six o'clock? Are we changing fishing spots?"

Bai Yu thought so, but he had no intention of going out to check the situation at all. Instead, he lay down on the bed and fell asleep immediately.

You have to understand that they went to bed very late last night. By the time they finished fishing and returned to the crew quarters, it was already past 1 a.m., and after washing up and going to bed, it was almost 2 a.m.

It's only six o'clock now, which means he only slept for four hours last night. That's hardly enough sleep for a young man like Bai Yu.

'Knock knock knock'

After an unknown amount of time, Bai Yu vaguely heard someone knocking on the door, and then Li Shuang's voice came from the crew room.

"Who is it? Why are you knocking on the door so early in the morning?"

"Boss, our captain spotted a group of big fish with the fish finder and asked me to come and ask if you want to go fishing. If so, I can prepare some bait for you."

The staff's voices came from outside the door.

"Hmm? A big fish? Where is it? We're coming right now. Please help us prepare bait for four people!"

"Fisherman, Ah Hai, Ah Sheng, get up and go fishing! The sun's already high in the sky! We've got a big fish to catch today, so get up quickly!"

With a thud, Li Shuang jumped off the top bunk, shaking the other three people.

Bai Yu was already in a semi-conscious state, and when Li Shuang shook him, he opened his eyes.

A minute later, Bai Yu and the other three walked out of the crew room and came to the washroom on the fishing boat. In less than two minutes, the four of them finished washing up and then took their fishing rods to the deck.

When they stepped out of the cabin, Bai Yu realized that the others had already gotten up, and there was a fisherman catching fish at the fishing spot on the right side of the cabin.

Bai Yu and his three companions watched as this guy caught a tuna, a real tuna, though its size wasn't very big, just a yellowfin tuna weighing about twenty or thirty pounds.

But no matter how small the fish is, that doesn't change the fact that it's a tuna.

"Huh? What's going on? We just stepped out the door and got a critical hit right away? They showed us how they caught a tuna right off the bat. Isn't that a bit too violent?"

"Brother Yu, stop reminiscing and let's go fishing! That's tuna, real tuna!"

While Bai Yu still had the leisure to watch others fish, Li Shuang couldn't wait to join the fishing as soon as the tuna came onto the deck.

Bai Yu just watched, and when Li Shuang took a fishing rod to fish, Bai Yu also joined in the fishing.

However, since the four of them got up late, Bai Yu's fishing spot from last night had already been taken by someone else, so he had no choice but to follow Li Shuang to the stern of the boat and reserve that spot.

The only downside to this fishing boat is that whoever gets up early gets to choose their spot first, while those who get up late have to use the remaining spots.

But it's not a big deal. The anglers on this boat are all pretty good-tempered. At least so far, no one has had a conflict with anyone because of their fishing spot.

Upon reaching the stern, Bai Yu and his three companions took out the bait prepared for them by the staff, which included three large squid, three mackerel, and a pound of shrimp.

This is the amount of fishing gear the fishing boat prepared for them for one day of fishing.

If that's not enough, ask the staff to buy some. Shrimp is 20 yuan per pound, and large squid and mackerel are 10 yuan for two. Prices are clearly marked.

As Bai Yu and his companions walked from the cabin to the stern, the fishermen they passed along the way were all acting like madmen. They would catch one fish and immediately catch a second, as if they were afraid that someone else would steal the fish from the sea.

As for who will handle the fish that are caught? That's left to the crew on the fishing boat.

Besides Bai Yu and his twenty fishing companions, there were also four odd-job workers on the fishing boat, the same kind who helped Bai Yu last night.

I don't know if the four of them can handle serving the twenty people.

Upon arriving at their fishing spot, Bai Yu and the others, influenced by the others, also felt a bit nervous. They picked up their bait, hooked it onto their hooks, and their fishing trip officially began.
