Seeing that everyone was getting off-topic, Gu Xi sent another message to bring their attention back.
Gu Xi: "Buying anti-toxic supplies. Bosses with items, please DM me."
"Gas protection equipment? What's that?"
"Never heard of it, let alone seen it."
"Ah, the antidote?"
Gu Xi thought for a moment and replied in the chat channel.
Gu Xi: "I guess so."
"It looks so high-end. If you, Sister Xi, who makes medicine, don't have any, then I certainly don't either."
Gu Xi had countless things she wanted to say, but she didn't know what to say, so she simply chose to ignore them.
She then waited in the chat channel for another half hour, sending multiple purchase requests, but no one contacted her.
Gu Xi sighed; she figured the acquisition had failed. Although the anti-toxic equipment acquisition had failed, the necessary tasks couldn't be stopped.
She then closed the chat channel and went back to doing her own thing.
Although the surroundings were still shrouded in deep darkness, the volcanic island slowly descended and then slowly rose again, and Gu Xi knew that it was time to explore.
After drinking the heat-resistant potion and confirming that she had gained heat resistance, Gu Xi held a shark pearl in one hand for light and a spike in the other, and ran towards the volcanic island.
Although she was traveling in the dark, she wasn't worried about getting lost at all. After all, her boat was fully illuminated, and if she couldn't tell which way to go, she could just stand on a high place and see it clearly.
As she set foot on the volcanic island, a faint light gradually dispelled the surrounding darkness. Using this dim light, she began to observe the island.
However, the view was barren, with nothing but jagged rocks everywhere.
The ground was rugged and uneven, making it extremely difficult to walk.
She had encountered this kind of environment before; vegetation resources were relatively scarce, but she could still find some useful things.
Enduring the pungent smell, Gu Xi proceeded cautiously. Her eyes constantly scanned her surroundings, taking in the situation.
After walking for a while, Gu Xi arrived at a relatively flat, rocky slope. The rocks here were different from those she had encountered before.
This strange feeling made her stop in her tracks.
Then, she raised the shark pearl in her hand high and used the light to examine a wider range of rocks.
Stones of varying sizes lay irregularly on the ground. At first glance, although they were all stones, the strange thing was that most of them were hemispheres.
Such a uniform shape must have been formed by external forces or it must have voluntarily taken on this shape.
Gu Xi stared intently, recalling the stones she had seen earlier.
Although these rocks look much like the previous stones, they are slightly raised and their surfaces are not as rough as the other stones.
Gu Xi, who was already on high alert, immediately put on a mental defense barrier.
Then she used object manipulation to skillfully step on the spikes and levitate to a height of about two meters above the ground.
While hovering in the air, she also manipulated two or three small pebbles. Under her control, these pebbles shot towards the strange hemispherical rocks like bullets.
The small stone struck its target accurately, making a crisp sound. Immediately afterward, the rock suddenly moved, quickly unfolding to reveal its true form. (This chapter has been read. Please click to continue reading the next chapter!)
