Gu Xi watched as the two sea ghosts chatted amongst themselves. After they finished, they both looked at her.
Although the sea ghost was quite beautiful, its deep, swirling eyes were truly frightening. She shifted her gaze slightly and replied with a smile, "This is something I specially prepared to welcome you."
She wasn't lying; she did eat the sea candy on purpose, just to make them happier so she could do business with them.
As soon as she finished speaking, the sea ghost's body began to change color again. She guessed that the sea ghost was so happy to hear this that it glowed and changed color again.
Putting aside his speculations, Gu Xi asked, "I have a batch of goods here, and I would like you to take a look at them first."
Seeing that the two sea ghosts did not object, she took out her storage box and took out the samples inside.
She didn't take out any items that had practical value to human society, but only some pretty-looking decorations and some strange items, such as various specimens she had picked up from the garbage dump earlier.
She wasn't sure of the value of these items; she was just trying her luck. To her surprise, the two sea ghosts, upon seeing the items she took out, scanned them and their bodies shone even brighter.
"Not bad, not bad, some of these things are of very good quality."
Hearing them say that, Gu Xi secretly breathed a sigh of relief. It seemed that she would have a good income this time.
Just as she was feeling happy, she heard the sea ghost's question again.
"Honorable guest, do you sell your sea candy and the flowers upstairs?"
The flowers upstairs? She grows quite a few varieties of flowers upstairs, including common ornamental flowers and flowers from plants with spiritual connotations. Which kind are you referring to?
So Gu Xi asked and received a reply from the sea ghosts: they wanted to buy flowers with a spiritual quality.
The flowers for spiritual cultivation were for her own use, so she would never sell them.
The sea ghost, rejected, flickered less brightly. Even under the influence of the happiness candy, its somber aura couldn't be suppressed.
Gu Xi quickly spoke up to interrupt the two sea ghosts' emo.
"I don't sell flowers, but I can sell you five sea candies."
As soon as she finished speaking, she saw the sea ghost begin to flicker again.
Then, the sea ghost took out a strange square-shaped board and started operating something on it.
They quickly handed the board to Gu Xi and said, "This is a price list for the items. Please take a look, esteemed guest."
Gu Xi took them curiously and then examined them one by one.
This strange board, like the tablet used by ghosts, first displays an image of an item, followed by a price quote.
Specimen XX: 50 Gold Coins
Specimen XXX: 10 gold coins
...
Any sea candy: 10 gold coins
Upon seeing the price, Gu Xi was stunned; she had absolutely no idea what gold coins were. So, trading with the Deep Sea Clan actually required gold coins?
So she asked, "What are gold coins?"
The sea ghosts gave her a strange look, but still took out a gold coin from their bodies and handed it to Gu Xi.
"These are the gold coins, esteemed guest?"
Feeling the sea ghost's gaze, Gu Xi calmly accepted the coin and examined it carefully. A few moments later, she returned the gold coin to the sea ghost.
